The problem was after they completed the job in 6 hours, I walked into see the walls un-sanded, doors and trim partially caulked, my door hinges painted, and just a very messy job to my disappointment. I also have dried dripping paint on my wood trim. All other estimate stated two days to complete the job. First day, prep the walls (sand, spackle, caulk, smooth out, etc.) and then next day paint so I was befuddled by Jay telling me they were finished the job. I could not understand how they could prepare and paint two rooms and finish in 6 hours. Jay told me they do not caulk, do not fill holes, or spackle anything in any of their paint jobs to my dismay. If I would have known this information upfront I would not have allowed them to proceed. In good faith, I paid Jay in full and he said he would come back and fix anything I wanted. He did so today, but to my misfortune, the job needs to be completely done over by new painters. I wish Jay and his team the best going forward. Everyone just needs to be crystal clear on the expectations and have it clearly spelled out in writing.

I am a working Mom with a large family and have no time to be creative. The problem is- I KNOW WHAT I LIKE. I needed someone to come into my home, understand me and my tastes, and help me design one large room...soup to nuts. I did not want someone to "tell" me what their vision was.....I wanted them to look at my home, see what I like- and make suggestions around that. We are not a high design family, and I have always been reluctant to utilize a designer for fear of that. Laura is the answer to my prayers. She is down to earth, imaginative, enthusiastic, and a true professional. She is a designer chameleon in that she can meld to whatever your style is. She has the BEST connections- contractors galore, fabric contacts, window treatment & pillow resources, custom woodworkers.... and she can vouch for them all!!!! Her finished work was beyond my expectations, and within my budget and timeframe expectations. It has been a dream come true to work with Laura....the only problem I have is deciding which room I will have her help me with next! Maybe now I have one additional problem. I had no idea where to start to try to get the place under control, and their arts and craft supplies were spilling out all over the house as well. Becca provided us with an estimated timeframe and even came in under it. She not only decluttered the space, but separated items into trash and donate bins, reorganized everything we had, labeled it all, and came up with some really innovative solutions for my kids' markers and craft supplies. Truly the best money we've ever spent. My husband kept saying we could do it ourselves, but honestly -- who has the time or emotional bandwidth for that? And Becca came up with solutions we never would have thought of. Our space has been operating smoothly for several weeks now.
