Update: I'm thrilled with my finished built-in wall unit and desk. I particularly appreciate Doug and the entire Closet Factory team getting involved to help mitigate the delay due to materials and getting the installation completed ASAP once the materials arrived. After working with my designer, Elizabeth -- who was and remains great -- I was told it would take a couple of weeks to order and receive the required materials. I was given an installation date of 2-3 October. On the first day of the installation, the installation team discovered that several components were the wrong size, either ordered incorrectly or sent by the manufacturer in the incorrect size. The job is less than half-completed in my office (I work from home) while we wait for replacement materials. That was October 3rd. They did attempt to charge my credit card as if they had completed the job. To their credit, when I called about the charge for the second half of the total cost (I had paid the first half upfront), they promptly refunded the amount, pending the actual completion of their contractual obligations. read more

She found a screen that would allow air to flow around my CPU to keep it from overheating, AND it is BEAUTIFUL! I also love that my printer is out of site too! I don't know how they got their five star reviews on Yelp or Google; probably paid advertisement. My experience with this company is very frustrating. We put in an order in March this years. Later when they sent the formal design drafts I noticed some mistakes (color was what we picked and etc.) I had to drive back to their office multiple times to correct the errors. Then the installation dates kept being pushed back. Finally the installers came. However they told me that there is one piece that is still in production, meaning they would need to come back and install that piece later. They didn't even finish the work with the materials brought (excluding the piece that's still in production that needs to be installed later.) They said they would come the next day to finish the current work. They didn't. Scheduled another date for them to come back. They didn't show up. I called the customer service. The customer service said they have no idea what happened. So there will be more delay without a solid date when the installers will come back and complete their work. I'll not recommend this company to anyone. read more

We decided to go with Closet Factory because of the value vs the warranty available. Nobody else that we talked to had anywhere near as good of a warranty or stood behind their product/install as much as closet factory. So we started the process by calling them and we called and got a consultation appointment. Jordan Milligan handled our consultation, quote and was our point of contact before, during and after the install. Jordan was awesome!!!! She actually listened to what we thought, took our feedback and tweaked things as needed. Her measurements for our closet were dead on and so the quote she provided was exact. With material costs now it was not cheap, but we were sold on the fact that there's a lifetime warranty and it's transferable if we ever decide to sell our home. Our closet before had literally started to fall apart and I had it Jerry rigged so we could use it. It was also a complete and total waste of usable space, but Jordan's design on the new closet made use of every bit of available space we had. It came out gorgeous!!! We are so thankful for all of Jordan's help. We were very happy with all of the installers that came out, stayed late and put in extra work graciously. My Husband and I hired this company to do several closets in our new home. We had consults with several closet companies, and decided to go with Closet Factory. We had a consult with the design coordinator that helped design a plan. We were happy with the plan at first, until we weren't. I can't say enough good things about our installers, but our coordinator and CF customer service department was less than adequate. Follow thru during the install and near completion was less than acceptable. We had an issue in my Husband's primary walk in. We tried to get in touch with our coordinator, but after many calls, voicemail messages and emails she was no where to be found. We tried to reach out to her boss, Steve, but the same situation, no response, We tried calling customer service to no avail and no one could help us. It was like we were just on our own. Thankfully the installer was able to help us with the issue of shelving not fitting in the wall in. We also approved of a spa cabinet in our bathroom. It looked good on the plan, but once installed it looked more like a bunker than a spa cabinet. We again tried to find our coordinator to stop the install, but she wasn't around. We again called customer service who said we approved the plan and we had no recourse, just accept the cabinet as is. Unfortunately we definitely do not recommend closet factory. Find a company that works along side of you during the whole install and doesn't leave you high and dry half way hrough the he project. read more

We had an in-home consultation, Sydney (in a mask) listened to what we wanted, answered all our questions and made suggestions as how to achieve our goals. Within a week, we had a layout to review. Jordan Milligan designed us a fantastic set up!! It's a 100% step up from the builder installed wire shelves - we are now so organized! Very happy with not only the design process but the install team was excellent as well. Was very appreciative of the fact they made sure my cats didn't exit as they came in and out. We did have to wait a while and then had to wait another 3 weeks after our original install time frame - but it was worth it. They don't return calls. I bought a home with one of their closet systems. Some of the closer rods were cut too short and keep falling down. I called them to replace them, even willing to pay even thought it was clearly not made correctly in the first place. They said they would call me back, but of course they never did. So, the Closet Factory has poor responsiveness and poor quality. I'm going to try to avoid this group for now. read more

I'm a firm believer that redoing a closet can be one of the most functional upgrades you can make to a house. We had previously redone a walk-in closet in our condo in LA, and we had a good experience. We knew that we wanted to do it again, and Melanie at Closet Factory ensured that we'd have a good experience again. We redid an outdated closet in our master bedroom to maximize space and storage. For us, we cared less about the aesthetics and more about squeaking out as much space as possible. Melanie did a great job of understanding exactly what we were looking for and providing solutions that made sense. In just under an hour, we already had a design ready to go. Melanie provided me with a price, and we did a little bit of tinkering to make the price work for us. She's super nice and makes the experience a lot of fun. With a medium sized walk-in with lots of basic shelving, we paid around $1,500 total. Because of my work schedule, it was tough to be home while the guys were installing my closet. I felt totally comfortable putting a lockbox on the door, and I came home to find my closet completely done and installed. When I realized that we were missing a shelf, Melanie was quick to respond and we got that missing piece put in within days. No stress, no problems at all. Like most closet places, it's important to know that they don't paint or refinish walls. They'll take out your old closet rods and things, but you'll likely need to do some repainting and sanding yourself to clean up the walls. It's easy stuff, but worth noting. If you've been looking at redoing an old closet and have some money to spend, give Melanie a call. You'll wish you did it sooner. read more

Really wonderful company, great experience with them. From Renee who was my designer, to Leonel and Ivan who installed, I am really happy with the quality of my closet, design, and purchase process. Pricing was really fair too. I went through Costco so I liked the benefits that got me. So for the longer version... I had a few companies come out to give me quotes. I had one lady who was super rude, got upset when I told her I was getting other quotes, behaved as if this was her first time in someone's house, acted like she knew better than I, what I should have in my closet, drew my closet out by hand with pen and whiteout (what is this, the 90's?), and tried to upcharge me on everything, all the while telling me I was getting a 55% discount. Renee came in, was very polite, friendly, asked me what *I* wanted and then drew to those specifications, was very easy to work with, wasn't pushy, didn't use used-car-sales tactics, and the pricing was way better than any of the other quotes. Plus the design was via computer software so it was easy to visualize. And in between the design and install, she was very communicative about everything. Leonel and Ivan came in to install. Were very professional, cleaned up and were such lovely gentlemen. They took the time to explain everything and asked me to inspect before they left, which I really appreciated. The only thing I was a bit unhappy with was that I asked for the closets to be a certain width, hoping that it would be the insides, but unfortunately it included the wood, so sadly I can't use the hardware/baskets I was planning to add to my closet. That said, I willl gladly use Closet Factory for my next closet! read more

Spoiler alert - we LOVE our new closet! The story thus far: I was awakened from a sound sleep by a crashing sound from our walk-in closet. One of the cheap wire shelves/clothes hangers that most new homes come with had ripped from the wall and deposited most of my wife's clothing on the floor. Drywall dust everywhere. We started shopping for a custom closet solution the next day. I wasn't going to try to put them back up and double-down on junk. I did all the research online, and Closet Factory's website made it easy to understand what the could do for us. The only thing missing was price, but I found that with all the companies. Perhaps there are just too many variables; more likely they don't want to scare off prospective customers. This stuff isn't cheap, folks. The showroom displays many different looks and styles, and the people there are very low-key and no-pressure. We wandered around, and when we asked to speak to a designer we were introduced to Patrick Hayes (patrick.hayes@closetfactory-colorado.com). He listened to our needs and wants and drew up a blueprint in minutes. Never pushed or up-sold. When we liked what we saw, he created a 3D model on his laptop then put it on the big screen for us to drool over. $2,600 dollars lighter, we left to wait for installation day. In the interim, electronic blueprints were emailed to us for our approval and initials, all done online no fuss no muss. A couple weeks later 2 men showed up in the snow and started work. They were very polite and cautious of our home and belongings. When I asked he said 3-4 hours to complete - this closet is about 6x6 feet square and 9 feet high - but they finished in about 2 hours 45 minutes. Did a great job cleaning up inside the house. My only complaint is that because it was snowing, I let them do subassembly and cut wood to fit in our garage, and now everything in there is covered in sawdust. That, they did not clean up. I assumed they would have had vacuum attachments on the power saws, but no such luck. Well, you know what they say about assuming... The closet is FANTASTIC. It's the same size, but it feels much, much larger, cleaner, and brighter. I don't even know why! Every time my wife goes in there, she marvels and praises. Much more user-friendly (Patrick knew what he was doing) and though we mostly got the lower trim-level the materials are of really good quality. We definitely think it is worth every penny, and the people and service from Closet Factory are excellent. read more

We had closets from Closet Factory installed at our house.  We were informed by the installers that the closets were missing a couple of shelves and they would bring them back the next day.  We were presented with a completion form to sign, of which I questioned that the installation was not complete and we were due two shelves.  I was told to go ahead and sign the form, by my sales rep Dana, with the understanding the installers would bring the shelves the next day. We did not hear back from the installers or Closet Factory and I called back two days later.  I spoke to Rozica and provided my credit card number, even though I still didn't have my shelves but had signed the form per Dana's recommendation.  She stated she would look into it and get back to me. I followed up three more times the following two weeks and did not hear anything until I called back a month later, asking where the shelves were.  I was told at that time that the installers cannot promise to come back the next day and that they needed to schedule this type of thing.  I explained that it has been almost a month since I called and was still waiting on the shelves to be delivered.  She stated she would look into what happened and get back to me. I heard no additional word from Closet Factory and submitted a dispute my credit card company a month and a half later.  There was no word from Closet Factory until we received a call from April a month after that, wanting to discuss with us the "issues" we were having, so she could do some coaching on here end and also go over the logistics with regards to getting our shelves out to us.  In addition, she wanted to go the payment because there was dispute and she wanted to get us taken care of. I received a call back a week later, that they needed to get some shelves out to us and that it does look like the charge we disputed was reversed because all they needed to do was to get some shelves out to us. I explained that this was more than a couple of shelves missing.  This was three+ months of frustration and our time chasing two shelves around.  I explained that we have been following up with the company to no avail as mentioned above.  In addition, we used Closets by Design in our old house and loved how they came out and great customer service.  I told her that we went out on a limb, which I also told Dana, to use Closet Factory as it must have been reputable as they are also affiliated with Costco.  However, after this experience, I will never use Closet Factory again or recommend them to anyone.  I also contacted Costco to let them know our experience with this company, as this should not occur over two shelves.  There is no reason why this should have gone on this long, and explained my frustration to her, which she was genuinely receptive to.  She then explained to me that she would have her VP would reach out to us, I assumed would be within the next day or so, which also did not occur. We did receive two shelves two weeks after we spoke and they were the wrong ones and size. I called back and was told the correct ones would be sent. I also told her that I never received a call from the VP, which she stated she would have him call me. I told her at this point don't even bother, its not worth it. Hopefully, we get the correct shelves on the second go round as I don't even want to call again and get another empty promise. read more

Update: I spoke with Jennifer, a sales manager at Closet Factory, and she was able to provide more information and a solution for our installation date issue. She was professional, proactive, compassionate, and helpful and made me feel much more confident moving forward with our closet remodel. She also checked in again a few days later to make sure I didn't have any lingering concerns. Now I'm much happier with this company's service. Working with this company has been disappointing. Scott was our consultant and after the initial meeting, he had to be reminded to send the designs. Then he did not respond to questions via email for over a week. Finally we decided on a design and he sent a contract with incorrect details and dates and it had to be changed twice. I haven't heard from anyone since signing (6 weeks ago) to confirm our install date or check on quality of service. read more

All three had arrived at their appointed times and were efficient, careful, courteous, and exacting in the details. Apparently Closet Factory is the Denver area vendor for Costco. In the last 8 months I have put in 2 requests with Veronica at Louisville Costco to work with them. I did not want to put my phone number because of my work hours, and cannot be reached via phone. Both times, in BIG LETTERS, in the notes area I wrote "DO NOT CALL - EMAIL ONLY". They blew up my phone both times calling me all the time. Not a single email. Thanks, Closet Factory, for showing me you cannot follow the simplest of requests. Oh, and for waking me up multiple times as I am currently working 3 AM to 11 AM and you call around noon to 4. Despite possible savings, will not work with this company. read more

What an amazing transformation with a (1961) Master bedroom with no walk-ins, but two linen closets! Having seen some of Closet Factory product at a recent Parade of Homes in the Black Forest, we immediately set up a meeting with a designer and scheduled the install. We initially had some design errors during the install, so we had to take a few steps back and redesign the project. Surprisingly, we discovered that the CEO wanted to ensure everything went according to plan and actually came down to personally redesign the project from the ground up... Thank you, Mark! We now have two huge custom built-in wardrobes (hanging, shelving and TEN full extension drawers!) We just got our closet installed this past weekend with Closet Factory. Our designer was Sydney Cornell who was great to work with. She was so busy with appointments she set one to work with our schedule on a Sunday morning. We made some last minute changes which she had no problem with at all. Of course I saw everything via email and never had the chance to visit the showroom but she was so confident of her product, I was not worried. The installers came on Saturday morning on time and got right to work. We live on the third floor and I can't count how many trips they made up and down the stairs carrying all the pieces. They were very polite and cordial. 2-1/2 hours later they left and I have to say WOW! It came out better than I even imagined. We love the materials, the way it looks, and not to mention the extra room we now have with the same space. I recommend them highly! And thanks to Sydney who emailed me first thing today to ask how everything went. Could not be happier! read more

I have driven by Closet Factory many times as they are close to work and finally got the chance to use their services on our new home recently (we had a walk in closet with nothing in it but a couple of shelves). I actually stopped by the show room one day just to check things out and was greeted then introduced to Linda. She gave me the tour and guided me through Closet Factory's process. They really can cater to any client with a wide range of budgets. I'm really impressed with the way Closet Factory does business. Linda came to our house and we reviewed the different ways that we could take the design of our master closet. She then took measurements and quickly turned them into a 2D CAD version of our closet...while we waited! We made a couple tweaks due to the constraints of the space and quickly had a design that we were happy with! She then later emailed a 3D CAD version of our closet that we could spin and check out virtually. A few weeks later and it was installation day. The installers showed up with the plans and were off to work. We did run into a couple of points where they needed guidance, but they were very knowledgeable and accommodating. They even went the extra mile to trim our baseboards that they removed and then re-attached them to cover up what would have been a wall blemish due to the tall height of our baseboards. They also cleaned up well after the job and we couldn't really tell that they were even there. All in all I was impressed with Closet Factory and would definitely give them business again. They transformed our closet from a useless space to an amazingly efficient and elegant master closet. read more
