Husband & wife team (Owners at Eppersons) were recently at a collector sale I attended to find…read moreitems for their auction. They were extremely rude to the lady having the sale, belittled her, tried to harass her into lower prices such as $10 for $100+ items. Told her " you have 2 of this item" as if that excuses their behavior. They hid high priced items under lower priced items in boxes so the lady couldn't see them. Grabbed items the lady told them were not for sale, or already pd for by other customers. They removed items from their boxes so it looked like the items were still there. This young Lady didn't see half the items they snuck out to their truck as there were 20 customers at a time. When they left the husband could be heard yelling obscenities all the way out to his truck. Very intimidating and disrespectful. I have seen this couple do the same to people at other sales in the past

Old Cottonwood sure has been blessed by George and Linda and their wonderful store the Tin Turtle…read more The store is a true touch of class. George and Linda have been collecting and involved in their passion of old Americana for 54 years. When you first walk into their store you will be greeted by enthusiasm and a down home friendliness. The place often smells of a potpourri, which somehow makes the old brick building feel warm and classy. The store is only open for 3 or 4 days a week, as the Owners are doing the business for their passion it seems. I have been in several times and bought some very collectible items for birthdays, my Anniversary and just for Me, ha. I have learned some things from them regarding Bauer ware ( very colorful cool plates from old Los Angeles) to fun and very collectible cookie jars etc., The place is festooned for every holiday, so it's constantly changing and a nice surprise. The Tin Turtle is in the original Shuman Price Mercantile building on Main Street. The building was originally a wood structure and then was rebuilt in brick in 1898. It's a beautiful old Western building with great Cottonwood history. It's been occupied by all kinds of businesses, however George and Linda have really brought some real downhome class and charm to this original old place. Stop in and see them, I think you'll feel good if you like Our West and Americana. Brady
