The anesthesia will very likely be out of pocket cost, but it was worth every penny! Now for the rest of my review: After experiencing horrendous care at other OBGYN facilities in my more local area, I was first terrified to change to this location for an IUD procedure but I was recommended it by a friend. The doctor called me ahead of my procedure to answer any questions and he was super kind over the phone making me feel so much more comfortable. Day of the procedure there was a bit of a wait as it was filled with appointments. But the waiting room was nice as we all got to watch a Netflix show to pass the time. Once I was called in, the staff were very nice and very efficient to get me ready. And the anesthesiologist was so funny my nerves were completely settled before they put me under. Next I remember being fully dressed and they guided me to a low lit room with comfortable recliners that had such a peaceful ambience. The nurses were kind to answer my questions I had about how the procedure went while I was in that room which was promptly followed by the doctor who did my procedure. She came in to ask how I felt and how I was doing and I just felt an overwhelming sense of care and compassion at this facility that I've never experienced before anywhere else in medical care, I nearly cried from how happy I was. (That could have also been the after effects of the anesthesia but the emotions were still genuine). I was sent home with a little bag of overnight pads and information on my IUD device. My pain levels after never got above a 2/10, and they sent me home with a pain meds prescription for the following few days to address any cramping I might feel. I cannot put into words how thankful I am to this facility, the staff, and the doctors that made my experience here incredible, and comfortable, and safe. I don't care how long of a drive it is for me, I will always only go to this place for OBGYN needs in the future.

I left with bruises up and down both of my arms from six painful, failed port attempts, as well as a gruesome site on my WRIST where they finally placed the port on a seventh attempt. I also had a staff fall (with their full weight) on my stomach during prep, after another staff's careless decision making. This is to say nothing of the two random staff walking into my space unannounced while I was in a state of undress. Or the bloody mess that occurred when another staff attempted removal of the port from my wrist post-procedure. The entire process, from start to finish, was an unorganized, chaotic mess, and I have still yet to recover from their negligence. I will never return (and have filed a formal complaint with the state). Patients deserve better than this.

Visit #1: I had accompanied my Mom to her mammogram at an adjacent building. Parking was well marked, main reception check-in straight forward, and imaging clinic was fast. Her physician's office received the results promptly. Visit #2: My Mom was transported by ambulance to the ER. Me & The Homie got on the first available ferry from Edmonds & drove fast from Kingston to Silverdale. Again, clear signage for appropriate parking. Checking in required proof of identity with security to obtain an official name to gain access to the ER rooms. Staff from Security, Patient Services, CT scan tech, lab staff, ER physician & nurse all had clear communication. Visit #3: My Mom was admitted and transferred from the ER to another floor, 3South. Good signage and room info regarding assigned staff. Attending physician was clear with findings and desired outcome. Again, staff who dealt with labs, vitals, meals, and keeping patients clean & well looked after were excellent. Visit #4: Discharge day which also included visits from other specialists. Very thorough to be all in agreement and documentation provided before allowing my Mom to go home. My Mom is fortunate to have comprehensive insurance coverage which allowed her to receive great care and treatment from St Michael's, a member of the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health medical network. Everyone I dealt with from checking in, the initial nurse, anesthesiologist, doctor and team of nurses. Good communication for pre procedure as well as post procedure for colonoscopy. Staff took care of me until I was wheeled down to the car in the lobby area. I'm a FaN of Swedish today!!! CON - Albeit...getting appointments can be weeks to months.
