A couple sides, chips included, and that's the whole operation. Simple menu. Serious execution. I went with the short rib sandwich, and I'll be honest...when it came out, I had a moment. For $16, it looks like the smallest sandwich on the board. You start doing that internal math like, "Did I just spend $20 on lunch and still need a snack after this?" Yeah...no. Every bite was packed! The tender, flavorful braised beef was clearly the star of the show. The cajun crema brought a rich, slightly smoky depth, the pickled jalapeños added just the right amount of tang and balanced heat; not overwhelming, just enhancing...and the cheese tied everything together without competing with the beef. That brioche bun? Soft, toasted, and doing just enough to hold everything together without getting in the way. And the chips...honestly perfect for what they're supposed to do: add texture without distracting from the sandwich. (Next time I might throw them on the sandwich... for research purposes.) Washed it down with a Mexican Coke, because...they had Mexican Coke! ‍ Now let's talk about the vibe. Nirvana playing. Grateful Dead stickers everywhere. Chalkboard menu. It feels like a Gen X dive spot... until you taste the food and realize the guys in the kitchen know exactly what they're doing. That's the magic of this place. When I arrived to the store the owner had greeted me and I told him I was there for a pickup order and gave him my name. He had offered me a drink which I declined since I was just heading home. Matt is the owner he was nice and explained the menu and what all he does. They offer catering along with just cooking different items he puts on the menu each week. There was very limited seating inside there but you could sit inside the place if you wanted to. When I ate my wings they had just the right amount of seasoning and sauce on it. The wings were very flavorful. I was not disappointed with my order. I did wish they had fries so I could add some to my order but they were currently out. The prices were your typical prices for a small business. If you have never been to this place you should check it out. I know from the outside it looks a little deceiving but don't let the outside fool you.

I feel like I learned tips and techniques that I could take home and use day to day but also ended up making a very unique and impresssive meal. This class was Thai inspired so we made a salad, coconut curry soup, and moo shu wrapped in a pancake of sorts. Their cooking classes offer a cash bar and walk in appetizer. Then we get to the cooking, all of the ingredients were portioned and passed out. We had the opportunity to taste along the way. After cooking everything, we got to sit down and enjoy our meal. Awesome elevated comfort food menu…read more I was scrolling through my pictures from my trip to Indy and I saw a photo of a menu. Upon closer inspection, it hit me that I took the pic because I wanted to explicitly call out its awesomeness in this review. It is chalk full of dishes that sound like they came out of my dreams. Here are a couple noteworthy examples: 5280 PB & J - ok, this one didn't come out of my dreams, because I don't eat pork, but literally, if I discovered this two years ago before I went semi-kosher, I would be all over it. Roast pork loin, pepper bacon, fig & plum jam on a pretzel bun?! Yes, I did just rewrite the menu for you, but it should be shared with the world. Mr. Potato Head and Cheese - I once wrote has there ever been a match made in heaven that beats truffle and French fries? The answer is now yes, truffles and tater tots. This dish also includes grated parmesan and chopped garlic. Every other dish sounds as good as these, but I'm going to have to let you read the menu yourself. We ended up getting 4 Real Kettle Chips. I was not hungry. I had a ginormous omelet for lunch and I was still having problems buttoning my pants. Yet, once I saw these gorgeous kettle chips, I had to try some. And by some I mean I ate way more than my fair share (I wasn't even the person who bought them). They are generously topped with parmesan and at $4 its an absolute steal. Everything else on the menu is between $7 and $10, which is such a great deal for the quality of this food. We ran into the food truck outside Bier Brewery. Since this was the first brewery we stopped at during our Indy Brew Bus tour, I'm confident in saying I was still sober enough to truly appreciate the food. The owner of the bus is super friendly. I only do so when I feel that I have been disrespected on a human level. At first, Cami appeared warm and promising. She emphasized that she was Catholic, just like my wife and me, which felt meaningful given that we were having a Catholic wedding. That sense of shared values helped build trust. That façade ended the moment we signed the venue agreement. From that point on, her demeanor changed completely. Whatever image she claims through religion is not reflected in her actions. She is not the Catholic person she presents herself to be, and in our experience, that claim served only as a veil for behavior that was cruel, dismissive, and deeply unkind. Her behavior was ugly not only toward me, but toward my wife and our wedding planner as well. Throughout the planning process and during the events themselves, her temperament was consistently nasty, hostile, and confrontational. There was a complete absence of empathy or basic human decency, which is especially shocking given the importance and emotional weight of the occasion she was entrusted to support. If you are a person of color or come from a different culture, I strongly urge you to stay away from this establishment. The fair pricing may seem appealing at first, but it is not worth the disrespect that comes with it. The treatment you will receive from the owner will undo months or even years of careful planning, intention, and emotional investment. Our wedding was a two-day event: a cultural ceremony on the first day and a traditional reception on the second. Well in advance, I clearly explained which actions would be considered deeply disrespectful in my culture. Despite explicit conversations and agreements, Cami proceeded to do the opposite. In the middle of our cultural ceremony, she began bringing out trash bags to collect a few used plastic cups, an action that is deeply disrespectful in my culture, entirely unnecessary, and profoundly disruptive. As the groom, I had to leave my seat during the ceremony to confront her. She was unapologetic and dismissed my concerns, stating she needed to "get ready for the next day," even though we still had two full hours remaining in the event we had paid for. Unprovoked, she used vulgar and inappropriate language when speaking to members of my family--people who had traveled thousands of miles to attend our wedding. The second day was no better. The open bar was shut down two hours early, we were served significantly less food than contracted, and the alcohol brands provided were not what we had agreed upon. At the end of the reception, I asked a server if my guests or I had done anything to offend the owner. Her response was simple and chilling: "No, it's not you. That's just who Cami is. I'm sorry." The most lasting memory of my wedding is not the music, the dancing, or the celebration--it is the nastiness of the venue owner. Even now, when my wife brings it up, I try to minimize it, not because it didn't matter, but because I don't want to further tarnish her memory of our wedding. I will never forgive myself for choosing this venue, and I sincerely hope no one else is left with the same regret.
