He is an exceptional physician. I appreciate that wait times are minimal; I am typically called…read moreback almost immediately upon arrival. He is also very conscientious regarding my health, ensuring that diagnoses and treatments are limited to what is necessary at the time. This thoughtful and measured approach gives me great confidence in his care.

After much research on local physicians, we scheduled an appointment with Dr. Eldridge. Our new…read morepatient appointment took approx. one month to get into but was well worth the wait. Dr. Eldridge and his staff have been on time to all our appointments. Each time we go we have waited in the waiting room less than five minutes before they took us to the exam room. After the nurse took my husbands vitals, we waited less than five minutes before Dr. Eldridge came to the room. When I mentioned that they were quick he said that is one of his main focuses is getting patients in when they are promised to keep them happy. Dr. Eldridge is extremely knowledgeable and took plenty of time discussing our medical issues and the anatomy behind the problems. He explained in detail his expectations for the treatment plan as well as dietary modifications which he himself holds important. He told us an example of what he does as far as exercise and diet which is refreshing to know that he practices what he is recommending. He never made us feel like he didn't have time for our appointment or that he was in a hurry. He remember all our names when we returned as well as certain things about our family that made us feel like we weren't just a number. There is a lab in the office and they will send you a copy of all your lab results in the mail. Dr. Eldridge also includes a letter that her writes explaining the lab work and what is recommendation is regarding changes in medication or if you need to call for a follow up based on results. The office staff is helpful and friendly which is a nice change from most places. We will continue to see Dr. Eldridge for many years to come! Glad we scheduled the appointment and waited! He IS the BEST around!!!

This review pertains to the office and clinical staff of Dr. Asrani at this location only (4701…read moreBoat Club Rd ). Dr. Asrani has been my cardiologist and I was satisfied with her knowledge. However, she terminated our provider/patient relationship due to some issue that occurred at her office on my last visit. She provided me no information as to what specifically occurred, who was involved nor did she allow me the opportunity to discuss the reason for termination. I experienced several instances with the office/staff that I believe Dr. Asrani may or may not be unaware of. And here are the reasons why I'm providing this review. First note: I had an appointment in January to find out if I will need open heart surgery to replace an aortic valve. The Nurse Practitioner during that visit informed us that "Dr. Asrani didn't help me out" because the test results were not loaded in my chart for her review, so no new information was available. She also stated that valves are not her specialty, and that we shouldn't have come in for the surgery consult. She stated that she will get with Dr. Asrani on the following Monday and reach out with the necessary information to proceed with the surgery. After meeting with an interventional specialist, surgery was scheduled for April. Due to the severity of my condition, I was informed to call the treating cardiologist's office if I experienced weakness, light headedness, fatigued or shortness of breath. I did experience some of those symptoms and reached out to the office to be informed that they are booked, but will call if an opening came up. I never received a call back. Second: After the open-heart surgery, an appointment was scheduled at 1pm to receive a heart monitor. A few hours later I received TWO different notifications. One via text and the other an E-mail directing me to "My Chart" app for the scheduled appt to receive the monitor. With two confirmed notifications for a 10:30 appt, I showed at 10:30 and was denied the visit because their records show a 1PM appt. I was also informed at that time that the necessary approval from the insurance company for the heart monitor was not available and to come back at 1PM. I received a call later that day that the office was not able to obtain the approval and that return to the office at 1 was not necessary. It took 6 days to finally receive a monitor. The whole fiasco of scheduling was defended by their office as system failure. Third: On a recent dentist visit, my blood pressure check was 184/114. After calling Dr. Asrani's office and informing the nurse of the elevated BP, I also informed her that one of my prescriptions hadn't been refilled and asked if that would be the cause? Since I was coming in the next day for the heart monitor that was finally approved, I figured we would discuss both issues at that time. I received the heart monitor, however, I was informed that there was no one there to discuss the alarmingly elevated BP, nor my meds. It took another six days to get an appointment to discuss the BP and meds. Three months after a heart surgery, I expected the doctor's office to be alarmed and would treat the dangerously elevated BP issue with some urgency only to be informed that the Dr. was scheduled out for 6months and the only available person to be seen was the practitioner who's forte is not in valves. As a patient, when did a patient's prerogative to be seen by a particular physician to address health issues become irrelevant that a Dr. without hearing the patient's side terminate the patient/provider relationship? According to their statement "we are a small office." Therefore, lack of compassionate care is not expected from this staff. FYI: the response by Texas Health from "katieborders@texashealth.org " is a canned auto reply making readers think that Texas Health cares. I replied to that e-mail the same day with the requested info and have not heard from anyone....
