I'm in disbelief of how badly my daughters nails came out. She showed the nail professional what she wanted as you can see the first pic below. The first time they painted her nails fully pink and not a pink French as she asked for. They redid them after I had to intervene , only for the nail girl to get upset and left nail polish all over her nails and also redid crooked thick pink French lined. They were so bad I couldn't let her walk out that way -specially for the price. A second lady worked on them - she showed them the picture yet again and still thick uneven French tip. I mentioned it again and they were upset that I'm voicing how far off they are from the picture and proceeded to tell me all nails are different. I've been getting my nails done for a long long time we decided to try this place and what a disappointment. I have never seen anything so terrible. As for pedicure also terrible I have still lots of dead skin around my cuticles and just really sloppy job. Will definitely not be going here again. If I could give zero stars I would. Just to note I barely ever write any complaints - but this was so terrible I had to. read more

Had the SNS manicure, they have over 200 color options while most other nail spas near by have maybe 30 if you're lucky. Came here instead of going to my regular place a few towns over because I just wanted a simple mani pedi. I was incredibly disappointed in my "manicure" which consisted of her cutting, filing, and painting my nails. When she ASKED me if I wanted my cuticles cut she dipped her tools in acetone and proceeded to use them on my already very dry cuticles. Never soaked my hands or used any sort of cuticle oil or lotion. And to top it off, this all cost me $40 before tip. The experience felt very rushed because there was another walk in waiting. First time here. There wasn't anyone at the counter but one of the women pointed to the nail polish on the wall. I selected one and waited just a few minutes. I handed the nail polish to the young women and she said , "oh we charge five dollars more for this polish because it lasts longer". Huh??? I asked her not to cut the nails very short. She did. It seemed like she knew what she was doing but I really wasn't able to get a good look while she was working. She did a superficial job on my heels and my big toe isn't evenly covered with polish. She put the polish on too thin and some of the toes have lumps in the middle. No idea what those are. Wasn't able to see anyone else so I don't know if the others are better. $25 for a simple pedicure. I would suggest you find another salon. read more

Really disappointed in my manicure/pedicure from here. I used to go to this salon even before it was clover and it wasn't great so I was excited to see it taken over by new management. Took my mom there this past Saturday for a Mother's Day gift, as I was home visiting, and was very disappointed in the results. As my nail technician seemed nice he cut the skin next to my pinky toe a bit too much causing it to bleed and sting when I put my feet in the water. That wasn't even what I was upset about. I chose a beautiful opi light yellow color and as I looked at it when leaving it was streaky and not uniform, and even worse now 5 days later, not to mention chipping. $100 for a manicure, pedicure, and spa pedicure and I can not wait to get it redone at my usual nail place. read more

They do a great job and have the SNS that I like. I'm new to the area and This was my second time here bc I like their work. But when I went to pay I had no cash for a tip bc I didn't know at the time I couldn't leave one on my card and she basically said it get out of their ATM like she automatically assume I HAD tip her. I tip with no problem but when your charging tax on my nail service (is this normal in CT) plus a fee to use the ATM and I still tip I feel that I'm being taken advantage of. I hate writing negative reviews but I have to warn others. I came in for a mani pedi. I asked for short nail and the girl mumbled under her breath and hissed at me. I said is there something wrong? She mumbled again and groaned. If it wasn't for my daughters first birthday party tomorrow I would have ran out. She aggressively pushed my foot and hurt me by digging her nails into my skin. My polish on my toes was slopped on. The water was ice cold and I was afraid to speak up. She didn't even say thank you once. The price was close to 40.00 for a 35 minute mani and pedi. The price was not posted in their services book - it was crossed out. Please be kind to others especially if you want your business to last. I've been coming here for probably 2 years. Very inconsistent. My last visit about a week ago...not good. The manicurist was very rough and I jumped several times as she caused pain.. just cleaning my nails. When she cut my cuticles, she drew blood. When I called it to her attention, she took the paper towel under my hand & blotted & continued. I was ready to walk out at that point & probably should have. She applied the polish & as I was drying I decided I won't come back. Who can you complain to...no one speaks English and no familiar faces at the helm. I have going to Clover since relocating to CT in August of last year and I can't say enough about how great my nails look each and every time I get them done. I get regular manicures with the weekly polish and they easily last 5-7 days without chipping. I have tried another local salon a couple of times with the same polish and my nails would chip within 2-3 days every time. Even though Clover is a little bit more of a drive, I'll likely not go anywhere else again. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because some of the manicurists are better than others... Very very clean and chic salon! They have plenty of workers and chairs, but do be nice and make a reservation. Also, they have a huge nail color selection, plenty of Essie and Opi colors. I brought my own polish in, Essie minimalistic. My nail lady was Vicky, very nice. She cleaned up my nails really well and wasn't SUPER chatty, but wasn't SUPER standoffish either. I liked it :) the price for a manicure is $10, which is very fair for the service. I just took off a star because I almost would rather pay $12/15 for a good painting job. My nails have huge streaks and I asked her to paint enough coats so it covers the nail completely and you can't see my bare nails through it. But you still can... Gas it's my own polish, I'll be painting my own nails again tonight. :/ read more

The only bad thing was that I had to wait for a super long time to get them done (1 hr maybe) but I did go on a Saturday so they were pretty busy. The wait was worth it because she did a really good job on my nails. I got a full set of acrylics in the coffin shape with regular white nail polish. read more

I needed a basic manicure and pedicure with no polish. I was done with both in 10 minutes! Seriously! My feet barely touched the water. All calluses looked the same after as before, but like I said there wasn't any soaking and jets never turned on. Manicure was the same story. I wish I could post a picture. Now my girlfriend( who paid over $100) is still having her feet done as I wait forever and I have had mani/pedi both. Wth! I'm pissed. Because I asked for a basic service without the frills I was treated as extremely unimportant. My girlfriend that was with me was embarrassed that I was waiting so long for her. I was told "Zoya" was a good nail polish to use, however the staff member neglected to mention the $5 extra charge for each pedicure. An additional $10 was added to the bill. When I asked why, they said they had signs posted. Yes, in fact they did...too bad for me, as they were placed behind the nail polish bottles. If I had just picked the right bottle I might have seen it. I showed the people the problem and they just said, "Sorry". I would not recommend this salon. Owners should be straight forward with pricing and let the customer decide if they choose to invest more money in a service. read more

They told me to go to the 2nd station, I did. I sat there another 15 minutes. I asked how much longer it would be and they told me a half hour!! I asked why, since I had returned as they said. GORGEOUS nail salon. So new. So pretty. Walked in to check the place out and I was so surprised at the size of the location. Definitely did not seem that big from the outside. I asked the manager how much they charged for shellac/gel manicures and he said $35, not bad at all. It looked busy and I asked him if it would be possible to fit me in and he said absolutely and directed me over to the color bar to select my color. He had someone for me in less than 5 minutes. Once I sat down I was offered water or tea. They were so attentive. While I got my nails soaked to remove my old shellac I asked if they did waxing and they took me back to their rooms. They had a beautiful fish tank and chandelier towards the back. I can't stress enough how clean this place is. After my waxing we went back to the front to do my nails. The girl that was taking care of me, Eve, noticed that my skin was very irritated and red from the wax and she had someone come over with some aloe to help with the redness. She had my nails done in no time and they came out perfect. I asked if they take reservations (and they do) because I would love to have Eve do my nails again. When checking out the manager asked me if this had been my first time and he gave me a point card for their salon. I've NEVER been to a nail salon with a loyalty card before. When I thought my experience couldn't get any better it totally did. So glad to have come to this place. Definitely making it my regular nail salon. read more

I live in Milford and had worked in NY where I saw SNS no uv powder nails. I was going to a place in NY to have them done since I worked in the area, now that I'm back in CT I was looking to see who does the SNS here. I found Clover Nails having this product. I made an appt. and was really pleased overall with the salon. It is clean, they sterilize their tools, you can have your own box of files, and they really do a great job. They did a good job painting my nails. But - it was $35 for a basic mani/pedi. They tried to sell the spa pedicures, but I said regular was fine. When they used the buffer on my feet it was terrible, they used no scrub and when I told her it wasn't doing anything and my feet still felt rough, she said I would need to upgrade to the spa pedi. My feet were in good shape, but a little rough, but she said there was nothing she could do unless I upgraded. Then she put lotion on my legs, but none on my feet. I was out of there in under 45 minutes. So disappointing. read more

Very clean place they have disposable files and buffers. I am not sure how they sanitize the clippers though. I saw my technician just taking it out of a drawer but I asked her to clean it. My nail technician was Very nice and polite. However, I didn't think she did a great job with my cuticles and I have some pieces that seemed like she just chopped off. She diidn't buff my nail nicely. Also, I had to tell her multiple times to remove the clear topcoat I was wearing because she hadn't remove it completely. I felt it was a very quick mani/pedi without much attention to detail. It turned out ok, but unless I REALLY had to come because of their convenient hours, I wouldn't come back. read more

I love this place. They take cleanliness to a whole other level by using plastic inserts in the pedicure machines and opening new tools and pads with every client and throwing them out in the end. The place is brand new and everything is immaculate. It was kind of slow during the morning, but everyone in the place was busy working, either cleaning, refilling supplies, or watching each other work. The gentleman who did my pedicure was very sweet and did a meticulous job. He also did my SNS powder manicure. If you haven't gotten one before, it is because there are slim to no salons in CT that offer them. They are infinitely better than Gel manicures. They last longer, are better for your nails, don't require a UV light to set or an acetone soak to remove! Clover actually offers a pretty wide assortment of color choices for it, I'd say about 25. The gentleman at the front desk helped me pick out a pedicure color that matched pretty well. A powder manicure is $45 for color and $60 for French. It's about $10 more than a typical gel, but in my experience, they last longer, and I will happily pay the extra $10 to have my nails in good condition when these things eventually pop off (and again, no uv light or acetone). Be warned that they only take cash tips (have an atm in the shop). read more
