Tom is awesome - quick, honest, communicative, friendly, doesn't try to upsell you. Absolutely my go-to plumber.

Tom has been my go to plumber for years now. I cannot say enough good about him, his quality of work and his sincerity, yes SINCEREITY. This December I had an aneurysm and then 4 days later pen heart surgery, now back home recovering to discover oh here's an issue for Tom, the shower faucets are original to the 1947 home and have finally given up the ghost. Tom was good enough to come over to affix a temporary faucet so I could use the shower unit as he ordered proper ones. There was no charge for his visit to come over and do that temporary fix, that's the kind guy he is, a good one who won't take advantage of you. A couple weeks later he came over with the new faucet unit, installed it which was not an easy job considering the 1947 degraded tile he had to chip away at... It wasn't long before he had installed the new unit and it's been working like a charm since. His bill was fair and reasonable as is all his jobs that he's done here at my home. How about this, I'm away working on location on a movie out of state, the 1947 sprinkler pipes burst out front and who comes to save the day, Tom! Over the phone via text he sent me pics of the damage and his repairs, and the bill was again fair and reasonable. My 1947 sink gave up the ghost year before last, Tom came over and was able to save the old vintage unit (it looks too cool to replace it) and it's been working beautifully since, and here it comes... the bill was fair and reasonable. Can't say enough good about him and the service he provides. With Tom you get your monies worth, he doesn't hold you up at the bank, if you need a plumber, make Tom your first call! read more

I bought my house back in 2012. The house was a fixer upper and has had many issues, including the plumbing. I found Tom on Yelp back in 2013 and won't use any other plumber. Just recently had a major plumbing issue in my master bathroom. He was able to get in there and resolve quickly! He is reliable, friendly, fast, responsive, and has decent rates. It's hard to find good, honest people these days when you need someone to come out to fix a problem at your house. It seems more and more businesses take advantage of consumers who have no real knowledge in the area of the problem (roofer, AC/Heating, electrician, plumber, etc.). From my own experience and from the experiences of others, businesses might charge you for fixing something that didn't even need fixing. However, there are still some businesses out there that value their customers and aren't looking to charge customers for problems that don't exist. I had a problem with my kitchen sink getting clogged due to throwing some scraps down the garbage disposal that I shouldn't have. I checked the reviews here on Yelp. I called one 5-star rated plumber at about 8am and left him a message. After waiting four hours without receiving a call back, I found another 5-star rated Plumbing company, Clowry Plumbing and gave them a call. When I called Clowry Plumbing I explained my problem to Tom over the phone. He told me he'd be out to my house with an hour. Tom showed up within the time frame he gave me. When he check on my sink, it seemed the blockage in the drain had cleared itself. He checked a few things regarding the plumbing lines and explained the sink would have backed up by now with the water running for so long. Since it appeared there was no longer a problem to be fixed, Tom didn't charge me for the visit. Tom was honest, respectful, and knowledgable. I appreciate the fact he wasn't one of the those guys just looking to make a quick buck from his customers anyway possible. I will definitely call Clowry Plumbing for any problems I run into in the future. I will also recommend Clowry Plumbing to my friends and family. read more

Clowry Plumbing might as well paint knights in shining armor on the sides of their trucks. They are that good. After a shifty plumbing outfit came out on an emergency call, didn't do the work they promised ( that we paid for), they then quoted an $11,000 tab to rip up the street because the lateral pipe was broken due to a city tree. Then, to add insult to injury, told my 86 year-old mother she couldn't flush the toilet. So, by the time I got home you can imagine the scenario with her plastic bag and used wash cloth. I called Clowry Plumbing based on the ratings and reviews on Yelp. Daniel gave me his first available date, the next day. Sadly, he had to cancel since his wife went into labor (which I think is better than looking down my pipes) and stated that if I had any problems with sinks, toilets and such backing up, someone from his office would come out and do a temporary snake job at no cost, since he had to cancel because of the birth of his son. We met in the next couple days and Daniel walked me through the entire plumbing issue. The main lateral line is the problem and, the pipe is not broken but has shifted, allowing for heavy root protrusion into the line. Daniel didn't try to sell me some over-priced snow job. Instead, he sat down with us and went over several options from the temporary to more permanent solutions. Even his highest quote was less than half of the crappy plumbing company. Once we decided on a plan of action, Daniel and his crew showed up a few minutes early, stayed for 6 hours to effect the repair, explained everything in great detail and came in $100.00 under the estimate. Now, we are happily running water, taking baths and flushing to our hearts content. Daniel is the best. His professionalism and expertise are unparalleled. Clowry Plumbing is the only one I will call on in the future. And, I may just consider Daniel my new BFF. read more

Excellent service and great person! I called Tom Clowry to come out to a house we wanted to purchase to take a look at all of the plumbing and do the camera down the pipes to the street to make sure there were no major problems. He was very professional, told us about all of the piping for the house, and showed us the camera down the pipes. He explained everything and gave his suggestions. I called around to see what the other prices of the plumbers in the Burbank area for the camera down the pipes was and he was by far the least expensive. In buying a new house I was on a budget and I wanted someone I felt comfortable with, felt like I could trust, and was giving it to me straight. Now that we were rest assured with the plumbing in the house we bought it and I will definitely be using Tom for any plumbing issues in the future. Thought he was great! read more

From my perspective, Tom Clowry has been great! He's fair, honest and responsive. The first time I contacted him was a year and a half ago ....and it was to fix our kitchen and bathroom drains (they were both clogged). As a homeowner, I made an attempt, but wasn't successful. After calling Clowry Plumbing, Tom came in and quickly was able to remedy the issue......with ease! This time around I needed both of my bathroom faucets replaced. BOOM! I took a star off for some slight rescheduling issues, but otherwise Clowry is a very professional company. Daniel gave me a good idea of what to expect over the phone, was completely upfront about what was going to be done once he got here and then gave me a lot of information about what he was doing as he was working on my sink. Finally, he even gave me some references of where to go when I am tackling something myself and a few tips on how to supply hot water quicker to my master bath. I hired them to replace a sensor in my tankless hot water heater. He came and looked at the unit called Bosch ordered the part - told me it cost $60 when I talked to Bosch they said it cost $17.20 not to mention the fact that the Bosch people told us that all I had to do was unplug the old one and plug in the new one. Clowry charged me $160 he was there for 5 minutes- he told us we have to rewire the part ALLLLL Lies!! Super upset ... NEVER USE THESE GUYS - DISHONEST!! When I called him out on the part her told me that he was charing so much because he came over to give us the estimate.... MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR PAYING FOR .... these guys are crooks :( read more

I called a few plumbers on a Saturday morning, looking for someone available that afternoon to fix a leaking, non-flushing toilet in our rental unit. Tom answered the phone at around 9:30am and we worked out a time that worked for us both. He was on time and wonderful. Friendly and professional. Fixed the toilet and a couple of minor issues and the price was reasonable. Great experience. Tom Clowry was referred to me by a friend. I had bought my first house and it had some issues. I'd always rented before so I had no idea how to find a reputable plumber. My friend told me about how he'd called Clowry for a second opinion. One of my friend's toilets was draining slowly. The other plumber made sure it was clear but it was still slow so he recommended replacing the outgoing line from the house to the street. Expensive and would tear up the yard. Tom asked if the toilet in the 2nd bath was slow. No. Two bathroom sinks and a kitchen sink, do any of them drain slow? No. Dishwasher, laundry, any problems with them draining? No. Ok, let's replace the toilet and see if that helps. Saved my friend $5000. I've used Clowry a half-dozen times for small things like snaking my lines and larger things like when I was replacing the tile in my bathroom he re-plumbed the shower head about two feet higher and installed the new faucets. He always returns my call same day, usually within an hour. When we set appointments he arrives on time. He's super thorough, explains problems clearly and with detail, and cleans up after himself. I can't believe all the great reviews when after having a 3 minute conversation with Tom Clowry I know I never want to call him again. I had a sewer inspection done and sent the video to Tom for an estimate. Called him to come out so we could settle on the price and I ask if he's available Saturday and he says no. Not, "no, how about m/t/w" just no. So I ask him when he's available and he says Monday. I ask if the evening will work and he says what do you mean by evening. I'm thinking 6:30 and he says I don't do free estimates after hours. I could have sworn the yelp listing said they were open until 7pm, whatever. After going back and forth about a time I really get the sense the guy has no interest in helping me. Finally it comes out. Something about he has to run his camera to give me an estimate and he's not going to do that for free. Next time, just cut to the chase and let me know you don't do free estimates instead of wasting my time. read more
