They have good physicians but they won't see you if you are sick because you'll never get an appointment on time and if you need a referral, the person in charge is extremely nasty and rude towards patients, she won't give you a referral, she'll say offensive words if you are elderly. This place needs to get shut down after what I experienced. A negative rating would be more accurate. I believe they are under new management but this place is disgraceful now! Had an appointment for 4:45pm, arrived on time and found the doors to the office was locked with some of the lights inside already off. I saw a receptionist at the desk through the glass so I knocked to get her attention. She came to the door and said they are closed. I asked how can they be closed if I have a 4:45 which appointment which I am on time for. She went on to say they will close at 5pm and the doctor Jean Claude isn't seeing anyone else because he wants to go home and if he sees me he won't be able to leave by 5pm. Not recommended. When doctors change, so does the quality of patient doctor trust. The doctors contradict not only internal office other's prescriptions, but those persistent prescriptions that have not increased or changed in over 11 years. Shame on management for belittling me feeling this than. The short blonde lady quoting rules instead of looking at patient consistent history. Waste of time and was disrespected by the doctor. I've had chronic symptoms I have been trying to determine root causes for as they cause discomfort in my day to day. Doctor at this office essentially says "maybe you're a hypochondriac". I have never been anxious about my health and never assumed I had a specific condition. I was running late, tried calling, takes you to a calling center, could not talk to anyone. When I arrived I said I was late, the receptionist told me to sign in and sit. A minute or 2 later she called me only to tell me they are not going to see me because I'm late. She said my doctor was seeing another patient already. I asked to let me see anyone since I had left work early already. She said no you have to come back. I understood I was 10 min late, but every time I have an appt. they DO NOT take me right away. Usually there is a 30-50 min wait to see a doctor even with appt. So I can wait that long but they cannot accommodate you one time. I left to call to reschedule, 32 min on the call before scheduling, again because the call center takes that long to pick up, but I cannot be 10 min late. They said they can only give me appts. on the following week that it was best to go back to the office and make it there. I did, and I asked if I could talk to the manager, the receptionist said she was the manager, so I guess I cannot complain. read more

I was waiting for 30 minutes with appointment. I did reschedule the appointment and the availability was more than a month later.

I have been going to their offices for about 10 years, and never had any problems until now when they started charging me for services not rendered. They charged me two office visit $125/ea for two phone calls that did not last two minutes to let me know my test results came back normal. That is unacceptable, none of my other doctors ever charged me for test result phone calls. My opinion is that such is consider fraud. And to top it all off when I called to dispute the changes the billing lady was upset at me and started raising her voice. read more

HORRIBLE HIPPA VIOLATION/DONT SEE MALDONADO, FAKE DOCTOR, UNPROFESSIONAL Dr. Maldonado's care of myself as a patient was very rude and unprofessional. Her bedside manners are unethical, but most of all, she violated HIPAA laws by illegally giving my EKG results in front of other patients today, 11/25/2019 at my annual physical/well visit. This was the first time I was meeting her to establish care and she was dismissive of any questions/concerns that I raised. When my EKG was completed, I was in the waiting room and asked to speak with her regarding my results, she then became annoyed and gave my results in front of other patients and yelled at me for having more questions. She did not want to discuss key patient concerns and further aspects of medical follow up. She is lacking in medical knowledge when questioned on basic guideline treatments, She did not  wash her hand before my examination, which only consisted of heart and lungs check through my winter sweater, and did not perform a complete physical exam even though that was the purpose of my annual physical appointment. Upon further questioning, she became irritated and yelled at myself in the hallway in front of other patients to leave as she stated "Your slotted time is over, leave or else I will call the police on you" I was very humiliated as a patient due to her demeanor and degraded in front of the other patients. As a Board Certified ER Physician myself, her interaction for my care was unprofessional, lacking in compassion and unethical. She is also Foul mouthed at the least is the description. I don't feel she is ethically of sound mind to practice medicine and especially when she violated my patient privacy rights by revealing my EKG results in front of other patients, definitely will report her to the Board of medicine!! read more

The worst ever - you have to be on hold for well over 10 minutes and typically you get cut off or transferred to a full mailbox. wrong prescriptions sent for refill. Nothing seems to go right. Approved services requested by my doctor keep coming up with my insurance company - but nothing from the Dr. - have no idea what, why, and who the approval is for and have to go through hoops to find out......really reallly upset and frustrated...................... read more

This is the worst doctor's office my husband has ever visited. My husband has been trying to get a refill on his diabetes medication for over two weeks now and we keep calling and leaving messages but no one returned our call. We finally got a hold of someone who I don't know if she was a nurse or a medical receptionist. We told her the medication we needed and she said she would have it refilled so we are waiting and waiting and the whole weekend goes by and it's still not at the pharmacy. We called again on Monday and spoke with someone who said oh we can't give you the refill because you have to come in the doctor hasn't seen you in awhile. Seriously?? They couldn't let us know this before instead of wasting our time when my husband desperately needs his medication! On top of all that he doesn't have insurance and they won't even work with him. I have been to this office TWO TIMES. My second will be my last. The first experience, I had a set appointment, but sat up front for an hour and a half. Then I was called in to a little room (thinking I was being called for my appointment) only to be asked why I'm here and get my blood & blood pressure taken etc., and was then asked to sit in a second waiting room for another hour to see the doctor. (THE NURSE IN THE EXAM ROOM IS THE ONLY NICE THING ABOUT THIS OFFICE.) I was there for my anxiety (made that known when making the appointment, and then in the exam room prior to waiting my second half of time). Dr. Carolyn Maldonado-Garcia ended up doing a physical and sending me back to the exam room to go over my blood results. The nurse then told me I was good to check out and have a nice day..... when I told her I never even got to speak to the doctor about the reason I set up the doctors appointment, only for her to be confused and ask why the doctor did not do what I was there for, she will speak to the doctor, and was told I needed to wait in the (2nd) waiting room again. 30 minutes later I get called back into the doctors office to explain to her how bad my anxiety has been and all the medications I have tried and how the prescription I was last prescribed (hydroxyzine) does nothing whatsoever for me. She then proceeds to tell me that hydroxyzine works at night FOR HER when she's trying to sleep and prescribes me one pill before bed (The medication I just told her has NOT been helping my all day General Anxiety Disorder and I had already been prescribed to me for THREE times a day....) The second visit I needed a referral for what I thought would be a dermatologist. Turns out it ended up being I needed a referral for a plastic surgeon. (You would think the doctor would know or even say something but either way thankfully, I thought about it after I left the doctors office and called to fix the mistake.... mind you it's been two weeks and I have no fixed referral..) now let's get into the doctors visit. I came there with a appointment for 2 o'clock. Sat there for well over two hours. I was finally called in to the little exam room for my physical because they said it was time for another physical as well. After the physical, I wait for about another 20 minutes to be called into the doctors office. (Mind you I have my 15 month old daughter throwing a tantrum because it is now past her nap time and the doctors have the NERVE to give me nasty looks after how long I've been waiting there with an appointment and a BABY.) Dr. Joni Kaighobadi..... is who my appointment was with. Very unprofessional and lucky I am not the type of person to get hurt feelings over it. The referral was in reference to a skin graft done on my butt. She literally laughed the entire exam and every time she said butt???? Lmao. But anyway. I then proceed to talk to her about my anxiety and the last appointment I had and how it went and how bad my anxieties gotten... while trying to explain to her how I feel she cuts me off and proceeds to tell me I need to go to a neurologist so they can check my nerves and she will write me a referral after I go over my blood work to see if I actually have anxiety or if anything else is wrong...... (I've been diagnosed for 10+ years now). As I'm waiting to go over my blood results I am told to go to the front desk to get my referral. The secretary was very rude, tells me I do not need a doctors name on the referral I can write myself any doctor I want on there..... anyone who knows anything about referrals KNOWS you need a doctors name or the other doctors office will not take it... I then told her I was waiting to get my blood taken and how long would it be and she tells me she checked me out.... but will check me back in.... I said thank you and proceeded to wait 30 minutes before going back up and asking the wait time again and giving my name to a different secretary.... she told me I was never checked back in and I could come back any time to get my blood taken. At that point I walked right out and decided I'm never coming back thank you for making my anxiety that much worse about getting help for my anxiety CLSC office. read more

I disagree with a review below. There isn't great efficiency here and this is in regard specifically to taking my blood labs. I understand doctor's offices are busy, but there should be a priority to people who have been fasting since midnight, to get their labs done first (as in the first part of their appointment, as opposed to the very last part) and quickly. Lastly, because I calmly said to the receptionist, Lorena, that I was feeling lightheaded from fasting (it's 10:15am at this point and I arrived at 9) and if she could find out when my blood would be taken, it appears this ticked her off. When it was time for me to check out, I received a half-way smile and she didn't say a word to me, I didn't even know she was tending to me. After 5 mins, she just hands me my referrals and says "doctor said come back in a week". No have a nice day or goodbye or anything. Honestly this really pissed me the hell off because I feel this is so representative of the lethargic, dismissive, disinterested receptionist doctor's office service in Florida. I lived in Korea for a year and didn't deal with crap like that. There's a respect and attentiveness attributed to the patient there. I don't like how all these young receptionists here have this nonchalant attitude like you can't even ask them anything. I know I'm rambling, but this really bothers me. Don't treat me less because I look young. You wouldn't treat an elderly person like that. And it's not my style to EVER say an employees name, but again this pissed me off. read more

It's ok if you just need a quick visit for a cold, etc, as for physicals and such this is definitely a place for people who are not truly sick or disabled. I had an appointment with doctor Carolyn Maldonado Garcia today for the first time and that was so disappointed, I had to wait for 2 hours to see the doctor and when she finished the test I had some questions about the medicine that I am taking, when I was looking for the medicine in my bag she said I could take my time that she would be back in a minute, she never came back! The nurse came to the room and asked me to go to another room for the blood test, I explained to her that I was waiting for the doctor, she did not care and said I had to go to the other room. Before the blood test I asked her to talk to the doctor because I had a very important question and she did not even look at me in a properly way, I told her that I had a problem in my Brest before and she said she could feel it, but her hand was in a totally different place for the problem, she asked me to open my mouth and said it was ok but she was looking to the other side, she stayed in the room for no more than 5 min and said that she would be back , the nurse MARiA did not want to help me and When I notice that I would not see the doctor again she could see in my face how frustrated I was and I just told her that it is ok and I could have my blood test, NUrSe MARiA said that because I was having an atitude she was going to ask another nurse to take my blood . I did not say anything to her, I had no atitude at all! Nurse Vanessa came to the room and help me so well, when she finished I explain to her the situation and she tried to talk to Doctor Carolyn Maldonado Garcia again and she was with another patient and the doctor said I had to go to a gynecologist, but how she knows that if we did not talked, she does not know my problem and my question. She would not stop mentioning how she went to Yale, as if that automatically made her a great doctor. In this instance it most certainly did not. I have been going to this clinic for several years and have never had a terrible experience. My normal provider Gabriela Lopez-Botero is a saint. However she was unavailable and I was extremely sick and needed to get in to see someone right away. I rarely go see doctors and people like Ana Maria Apoltan are the reasons why. Disrespectful, condescending, ZERO bedside manner! She entered my room after an hour of me waiting, (I was there on time for my appointment) she begins to talk negatively about the medical assistant who was not in the room with us. She would not stop talking so I could tell her what was wrong with me, and when she did finally let me speak, she then insults me by telling me that I got my information from a google search and not from Yale like she did! When I politely called her out for her lack of bedside manner she said to me before leaving, this appointment is over, do not come see me here again. As if I would ever return to see that sad excuse for a care giver. CLSC needs to let her go before they lose all of their patients. Over the last year or so they must have reduced the number of support staff and are relying on an automated phone system. I tried for 3 straight days to make an appointment for a pre-surgery exam. Clean facility and recently renovated. If you download their app you can check in via cell phone and keep track of all your appointments and records. Staff is friendly but wait time is a bit long. At times I've waited 45 minutes before getting to their second waiting area. They take walk ins on certain days but that wait is even longer so best chance is to make an appointment or go to a walk in med clinic. read more

This is one of the few doctors offices where they don't treat you as a number. The place is nicely decorated and smells great. It feels like youre at a spa. The staff is always polite and courteous which is rarely the case at other doctors offices. I've never had to wait long, and once inside, the doctors and PAs all which are very knowledgeable take the time to listen and answer all your questions. They're never in a rush! Just as important, the nurses have always called me back with results. After being a patient here, I cannot imagine going elsewhere. I'm so glad I found this place! read more

MD CAROLYN MALDONADO-GARCIA is the MOST DISTRESPECTFUL person I have EVER dealt with in the medical field! I went in for a refill for a prescription that I've had for 8 years. She proceeded to tell me that she would not refill the prescription with out a PHYSICAL!! I've never had to do that before any other time with any other doctor. The time before they tried to get me to do blood work to do the prescription. I declined and he moved on with the script. WHAT DOES A PHYSICAL AND BLOOD WORK HAVE TO DO WITH A REFILL PRESCRIPTION? I learned that she is running this place (down into the ground). She told me to leave the office and go to the counter to make an appointment for a physical and THEN she would give me a 30 day prescription. I made the appointment unwillingly as I was out of the medication and was desperate. Made the appointment, receptionist went to tell her that I made the appointment and then SHE FLAT OUT REFUSED TO REFILL THE PRESCRIPTION. SHE LEFT ME STANDING THERE NOT HAVING ANY IDEA WHAT TO DO. The office staff just sat there doing there own thing. Upon reading the countless negative reviews I now understand why. Seems like she makes their life hell. You can tell they are very unhappy and walk on eggshells around her. I literally had to call my boyfriend to leave work and help me deal with the situation. The office manager Nancy came back from lunch, we explained the situation. She completely understood as it was obvious that she has to handle the complaints. Even though she is a manager she has no control over the Doctors. There are several others in the group and she explained that no other doctor could do the prescription bc "DR" CAROLYN MALDONADO denied it!!!! I feel so bad for the office staff and manager NANCY having to deal with this on a constant basis. I drove down the street to MD Now, was given a 60 day refill with out ANY hassle!! I really don't understand how she can still practice with all of the negative reviews that mention her by NAME! I am changing my primary and my boyfriend was looking for a doctor and will never go there because of this experience. I have lived in Florida for 40 years and have switched PCP many times. I finally found a fabulous doctor! I'm driving from Fort Lauderdale beach to see her. There is a good reason why this office is super busy. The office is clean and the staff is highly trained. Dr. Maldonado and her assistant Maria are worth the wait. She is smart, skilled, kind and a thorough doctor who is passionate about her work! She provides the best care to her patients and is highly determined to solve problems. read more
