DO NOT SIGN UP HERE! ITS A SCAM! I was a member of club 24 until recently, unfortunate because the location was perfect for me and my schedule. The personal training is actually where the issues arise. I was offered a promotion from Anthony, who is the lead trainer in club 24 Ridgefield and he ensured me that I would be able to pay for one month and the next month would be free. He gave me this promotion since I explained to him that I would not be able to afford the training at the regular price. After a few months (being offered the same promotion once again and then stopping the training all together after that), I was then charged for a month after. Come to find out after seeing those charges, I was charged every month despite the promotion I was promised and the contract I signed. All together, the gym owes me $627. I then spoke to Anthony about this and he did not respond to messages , he was ignoring calls, he was leaving work early despite setting up meetings. Anthony is one of the most unprofessional and irresponsible employees I have ever encountered. How he still works here is beyond me. I then spoke to the manager who was able to help me at the time (Donnie), but during all this conflict resolution, he quit. I then got in contact with the billing manager and the district manager Joseph Longely, who have promised my refund over and over but when the day arrives, they have an excuse and continue to extend the deadline on when I will be receiving my refund. No hot water. Management attempting to lower electric bill by shutting down thermostat on hot water. Pretty lame

If you're wondering why the club looks filthy, it's because it is. The staff is not supplied with appropriate cleaning supplies. The vacuum they are forced to use is from the 80's or early nineties and doesn't actually vacuum anything. It also had duct tape around the middle to hold it together. I once spent two whole days trying to remove slime and calcium buildup on the sinks in the bathroom. I brought in my own cleaning supplies to do this. The drinking faucets are never disinfected. The equipment is never cleaned thoroughly, just wiped off. Members also do not clean up after themselves and it is not enforced. The employees are expected to work magic on minimum wage. I received many reports of men taking pictures of women or making women members uncomfortable and was told that "upper management would handle it" but never once saw any action taken. Management allowed members to be verbally aggressive with staff. The day I quit, it was because a member was screaming at me (after she repeatedly broke a gym rule), threatened me multiple times, and started attacking my age and my appearance. All of this was allowed by the gym and I was told to "go away" instead of being protected by management. There's a reason they have such a high employee turnover. They also make the employees call people who have managed to cancel their memberships to try to convince them to rejoin. Which results in employees being told off over and over by people the gym has previously pissed off all while ensuring ex-members never come back. This place is really disgusting. No one cleans up after themselves, not even the staff. Especially given the current state where everyone is being overly cautious it's disgusting and you just don't feel safe. They are not following any Covid-19 protocols or procedures and make it very difficult and ignore you completely. read more

BEWARE OF SIGNING THAT CONTRACT I have been a member for years but had failed to update my c/c on file. I was shocked when I received a notice from a Collection Agency demanding payment. I had been busy with a move and had been walking outdoors in the good weather. I never had anyone contact me directly from Club 24. I would have happily updated my c/c with them it was an oversite on my part but I am not a deadbeat that deserved a notice from a collection agency. When I called Club 24 I was told they had my email address wrong and they did not have my phone number. I am told this is standard practice so buyer beware. I show both clearly on my original membership contract both my phone number and my email address. I was told that there was no manager for me to speak with. That I could stop by at 1 PM the next day but I needed to come in cancel my membership? Why is that you tell me or I could send a certified letter. Why does this Gym contract automatically need to renew? Another Shameful business practices. I meant to quit long ago now they made it easy for me. Shame on you Club 24 shame on you. read more

Gym is clean, can't beat the price. Has had new strength training machines installed recently. The staff is nice always friendly. Has great personal trainers especially Sammy. I was a member for over 2 years. The $9.99/month membership is hard to resist, and I tried my best to overlook the various shortcomings of the club. However, I finally reached a breaking point over the following problems: -- No wifi for over 2 weeks, with no explanation and no help in sight. -- No paper towels to wipe down equipment, on several occasions over the past weeks -- No water, protein, or energy drinks for sale...the cooler has been empty for over a week -- FINALLY...the big kahuna... NO TOILET PAPER!!! I was shocked to find, ahem, a roll of paper towels (a new shipment must've arrived) in the men's room. The poor guy at reception thought that this would be an acceptable alternative. I don't know what the issue here is - bad management, inept employees, or perhaps the last gasp of a business about to fold - but I've had enough. I quit. read more

Do not join this gym. The staff is unprofessional. The equipment is not well kept. The gym is dank and smells, including the locker rooms. And when you try to cancel they make it sooooo difficult. They continue to charge you even after you cancel and then refuse to credit you! I had to dispute the charges with my credit card company. Even after this the gym still continued to charge me. DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM! BTW, I explained very carefully to the very inflexible manager that I am in the high COVID risk category and cannot leave my home to go to the gym; you would think rather than give me a hard time, he would just cancel the membership. Not to mention you were closed for 3 months of my 6 month term so for me to have to pay for more than 3 months of my 6 month term is UNREASONABLE. I've noticed a lot of negative reviews about your cancellation policies, perhaps this is a sign you should change them. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The club's response was that I couldn't cancel my membership in March because they were closed. It seems odd then that they continued to charge me in March! Just recently join. Everything is great for especially for the price. They have two turf sections, the place was bigger than I expected. I wish they had more power racks but not that many people use them. They have plenty of barbells floating around as well. As an athlete they have everything you need. I went to Club 24 in Ridgefield for a few years (when i lived in town) leaving this club is impossible! KEEP YOUR CONTRACT!!!! They will charge you even after leaving and will never stop trying to beg you to come back. Three years later i still get regular phone calls and texts spamming up my phone. Would rate negative stars if I could. Had the same EXACT experience as other users here around difficulty cancelling membership, despite explaining every time that I now lived multiple states away from the gym and had no way to get back there, I was told I had to come into the gym in person. I eventually just cancelled the card they had on file and told them was not going to give them my new info if I was unable to cancel my membership over the phone as well, so they eventually sent a substantial charge to collections. You need proper verification of identity to cancel a membership but not to give you my credit card information over the phone? Hmmmm.... They make it inconvenient and unnecessarily difficult to cancel your membership so that they can keep sneaking 10+ dollars out of lord knows how many poor sap's bank accounts to keep this run-down, unprofessional place running. I eventually filed with BBB as I was so pissed off at the attitude of the staff and the management of the entire process. Once you join, they will not let you cancel. I tried over the phone they said I had to go to the gym. I went to the gym, canceled, paid in full and had to ask them 2x while I was standing there to send me a cancellation email. Luckily I made this request because they put through another payment a week later! I called the gym to speak with someone, they said the manager would call me back. He never did. I then had to ask to register a dispute with my credit card company. I also provided the credit card company with the cancellation email document. This gym is good for CERTAIN types of gym goers. If you want to come in and go on the treadmill or do cardiovascular exercises, this is the place. If you want to get some moderate weight training then they got in. If you want to do a little bit of cross training then they got it. But if you want to get some REAL weight training in, then avoid this place. I came to Club 24 from the Edge in Danbury as 24 is a lot closer from Ridgefield than the edge. I walked in and all I see is treadmills (bad news for a weightlifter) I find the "weight room" and walk over to the dumbbells and the heaviest one they have is 75lb! I don't understand how such a large gym franchise can't put in one more weight rack with heavier weights! They only have 2 squat racks and one smith machine, their equipment is obviously used and recycled from another gym (although it's not that big of an issue as you pay less than $20 a month) but I just don't get how they have about 60 cardio machines, massaging chairs, a treadmill movie theater but still Only have the heaviest dumbbell at 75lb read more

This is an inexpensive, bare-bones gym. It's fine. Generally clean, people not annoying, and the front desk is friendly. You want fancy, you want a sauna, go somewhere else and pay a lot. You want all the machines and gear for a basic workout? This is the place. It's good enough for me. read more

I've been a member for over a year now. I go almost every day. Looking forward to the next year+. You're only paying for unfettered use of a well equipped gym. You're not paying for a spa or fancy trappings the complaining reviewers seem to need. So It's a good deal, a great place to get your work out, and the people are very nice. Like all gyms: KEEP YOUR CONTRACT AND DOCUMENTATIONS. I signed up for the $10 a month plan. They kept charging random amounts every month. No one was returning my calls. I finally cancelled my credit card and disputed their charges, and they sent me to a collection agency called Aldous & Associates (also crooks) for a total of $440. I told the collection agency to read the contract and they kept saying that's what I owe. When I sent them my copy of the contract, they finally erased my debt. Club 24 is run by cheats. read more

The convenience of this place is so great, but there are sooooo many problems. 1- The staff. Of every time I've gone into the gym this month, I've only been greeted once by a lovely nice woman. Every other time, there is a man sitting at the counter, arms resting on the counter with his face burried into his phone. There's two men who look idenitcal who work there are literally are ALWAYS texting or on their phones. Literally. I've watched as one of them mopped while texting... I didn't think that was a thing. 2- one of the showers is broken in the girls restroom. Even though I've told them, nothing has been fixed. For months. Oh... and only cold water? Like what? That's ridiculous. 3- I feel like every time I go a handful of the cardio machines are broken somehow. I have to go through three treadmills before finding one with a working headphone jack or TV just to find that the little texts that pop up to tell you your mileage and time are broken and only showing half the numbers... Again. I've reported and nothing was fixed. 4- One of the massage chairs is broken. I reported that the first day I went there over a year ago. Still isn't fixed. 5- No more shakes? That's one thing I loved about Club 24! Their protein shakes were awesome... When I was told that they were replacing them with protein drinks for a better price that ended up being a farce... Instead of protein shakes, they sell Monster and Ice carbonated beverages. Not at a good price either. 6- WiFi is ALWAYS finicky. I don't think I've gone a full day without losing and having to reconnect to it. I just feel like everything is breaking and the people who work there just don't seem motivated enough to fix anything... or get off their phones for that matter. Done going to Ridgefield's Club 24. Was a member for over 6 years, This gym is now officially a dump. Really. They replaced the older selectorized machines with worse, visibly used equipment. Major pieces are missing (Out for repair that lasts months?). The equipment is not well maintained - all existing cables stick. It looks as if they tried to save money on lighting as well - weight area is now dark and dingy. Artificial turf now covers almost all of the functional training area (how do you clean that). The wall colors, carpeting and wood scheme is either extremely cutting edge and light years ahead of its time, or the most hideous, energy draining, visually fatiguing design I have ever seen. This gym is now not worth $10 a month, $10/year or $10 for a lifetime membership. read more

Facilities, service and staff went quickly downhill during my membership. Management consistently mislead me about the facilities (No working WIFI. No functioning source of drinking water and only COLD SHOWERS! Why? Because they refuse to get a hot water heater that can handle more than 1 person at a time. Yet they keep saying they are getting it "fixed"). A revolving door of staff and trainers. Trainers "steal" each others clients whether I wanted to switch trainers or not.
