Only things cleaned from prior rental if was were sinks and toilets. Floor-mirrors and sliding doors were NASTY! Opened a closet door and feel off-screws were about a 1/4 inch long-seriously! In addition table veneer was coming off and someone used scotch tape to fix-DIDN'T WORK! One stool was so wobbly my grandson almost feel off-could have been injured! Lastly place hasn't been painted or improved in years! If looking for a week at the SHORE-DON't RENT THIS ONE!

Some day my family and I will laugh at this, but not yet! Due to COVID, this was our first family vacation in over 2 years and this place was a disaster to stay in. We stayed in Condo A in early Oct. 2021. Firstly, the people who handle the lease for this place are old owners not current owners. It may have been good when they owned it but it is so bad now it is unsanitary and unsafe. It is crammed with what looks like furniture that was trash picked. The dishes are filthy, the grill is filthy, the place smells extremely of mold and mildew. The table in the dining room is seconds from falling apart onto the ground. So wobbly it is totally unsafe, especially for any child to be near. The WiFi is horrible. They cannot even tell you the correct password so don't even think of trying to do any computer work at this place! The owner, Allen Dugan, is pathetic. He does not care about this place and he doesn't care what your experience is here. He will do absolutely nothing to help! All he wants is your money upfront and this place is seriously way overpriced. The people who handle the lease will just say contact the owner. They are so sorry but they just handle the lease (and get that pathetic owner his money). The construction upstairs during our stay started at 8 am and continued most of the day so if you have a baby, as we did, there will be no naps for the baby! You will have to walk the baby in a stroller for the baby to nap. When we looked at the showers when we were getting ready to go to our dining reservations, the shower liners were covered in mold all the way from bottom to top. I will post a pic. We couldn't shower until new plastic liners came in from a worker there who could hardly speak or understand English language. We missed our reservations. Don't even think about using any of the plates, silverware and dishes that are crammed into every crevice because they are all filthy. See all the flowers and umbrellas they post in the pics? Non existent! The bedrooms are so small you could scrape your nose on the wall while sleeping. I am not kidding although it does sound funny. No room for a suitcase anywhere. The beds are very uncomfortable and the coverings are filthy.....some spotted with blood! Oh, I almost forgot to tell you there are spiders in the corners almost everywhere! And the kitchen has cracked tiles in many places. And the smoke alarms beep due to dead batteries. It was really just the worst. kind of like a nightmare. I am so happy to be home. We will forever call this place "The moldy, dilapidated Victorian. Seriously, you would be better off ANYWHERE else. Just don't do it! You're are now fully warned and you are welcome!

Every time the air conditioning came on the smell of mold got stronger. They also do not keep up with any updates. The mini blinds were all bent and broken. The interior is from late 80's early 90's. Also very dirty, ceiling fans were covered in very thick dust. Indoor carpet very stained and disgusting. Floor boards were rotted on main steps inside and outside. On the top step upstairs the only thing that helped from not letting your foot go though was the carpet.Also a soft spot in the floor in front of the downstairs closet. Upon checking into our rental property in Ocean City, NJ (329 Corinthian Avenue, 1st Floor) I…read morenoticed immediately that it had not been cleaned. It was an older property and at lower price so I was not expecting it to be the nicest place; however I did expect it to be cleaned properly. In fact, prior to renting my husband asked the realtor about the cleanliness and we were assured it was clean. My family has been renting at the Jersey Shore for 40+ years so we are more than accustomed to the normal wear/tear of beach rentals; however we have never experienced arriving to a rental so filthy. I reached out to our realtor and quickly received a call back. Our realtor stated he would reach out to the owner and be in touch. Shortly after that phone call, a woman named Stephanie arrived (assuming she was the owner, but she did not identify herself as the owner) to assess the situation and agreed that the house was in need of a cleaning. She contacted "the cleaning service" and informed us that it had been a different crew than normal and they would return to clean that day. She appeared to be concerned, apologized and upon our request provided some cleaning supplies, which I definitely appreciated. Later that day we received another call from the realtor stating that cleaning crew could not come back until tomorrow. Our options were to wait until Sunday OR the owner was willing to reimburse us the $145 cleaning fee. At that point, we had already spent 2 hours cleaning the place so unhappily we accepted the reimbursement. However, it quickly became evident that no cleaning crew had ever been there. By the time we got the rental to place where it was livable (hours later), we seriously questioned whether this property has a regular cleaning service (hence the quotes earlier in this review.) Some highlights: When making the beds we noticed the mattress pads had blood stains (see photo). The amount of sand/debris near and on the washing machine was appalling. There were soiled clothes on the side of the washer, along with trash, lint, empty detergent bottles, and useless cleaning supplies (a broom that did not work). The entrance way (should have gave it away) was covered in litter and leaves (see photo). In addition we found out later that the outside light bulb was blown out, so my husband had to buy light bulbs to replace. Just an example of neglect of regular upkeep and maintenance. Additionally, the plug in the master bathroom did not appear to be up to code as it was not GFCI protected. The floors were covered in sand, dead bugs, debris, food and band aids (see photos). The window sills and outside deck were covered in black film and looked like they have not been wiped down in months. My husband bought a broom and bucket and borrowed a hose to clean thoroughly, we ended buying table clothes as well to cover the tables. We had to do this for the kitchen table too because it was so sticky and grimy that everything stuck to it. The amount of debris under and in (it was a pull out) the sofa was disgusting. (see photos) The refrigerator was dirty- my husband asked the Stephanie if the cleaning crew typically wiped it out and she did not know. As a rental owners, ourselves, this was shocking. We provided our cleaning service with a very detailed list of tasks to do in between rentals, clearly this was not the case. In addition, the freezer had a ice machine and the ice smelled and was inedible - when it melted it tasted disguising. I am sure the filter had not been changed in years. Again, as regular visitors down the shore, we are accustomed to the water; however this was beyond anything we ever experienced. We ended up buying bagged ice the entire time. The bathroom sinks were dirty with toothpaste and floors covered in hair. To say this was unpleasant is an understatement. We ended up staying in a hotel for a couple of nights just to get away. Because of this, we requested that the owner consider reimbursing for one full night (which, in my opinion is conservative). I wrote to our realtor with the request and received a very brief email stating that an email had been left with the owner. That was the end of the communication. I followed-up but never heard back. Eventually I submitted communication via Fox's website addressed directly to the owner (Gary Jessel) but did not hear back. I also sent the attached pictures but again no response. I get that there is a short summer season in NJ therefore the opportunity for making money is limited however the utter disregard and obvious neglect is unacceptable. I expected better from an agency that has been in OC for so long but was greatly disappointed.

This diabolical woman started off the bizarre encounter as my wife was walking down the front steps with "Hey lady, come back here..." The woman called my wife a liar 3 different times in 30 seconds. My wife ended up in tears as she got back into the Jeep. When I walked back to the house to defend my wife she called me a Fu**ing As*hole because I told her she didn't have a clue what she was actually talking about. She asked my wife repeatedly which bedroom we slept in, which bathrooms we used, etc...It was almost as if she was trying so hard to do the least amount of cleaning possible. In fact, I know that's the case because she clearly said to me "This is more cleaning for me to do and more money out of my pocket." So unbelievably unprofessional. The house itself was great - walking distance to a lot of restaurants and 3-4 blocks from the boardwalk. Unfortunately, this last hour left such a bad taste in our mouth that we have to give this place 2 stars. The owner of the property should know better and comb and vet a respectable cleaning crew - it was despicable display of disgusting behavior from a disgusting individual. Truly truly a very bizarre 5 minute interaction with these folks. The people at Remax were great just FYI - very professional, present and quick with communications.

Check-in and out was seem less. There was always someone at the desk to help us and they were very nice. They provide beach passes, parking is only $15 a day. The place is very clean, beautifully decorated and recently renovated (in the last few years). The rooms have their own AC units, beds are comfortable, bathroom is big with 10ft ceilings, a rain shower head for the perfect pressure and shower experience. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast is from 6am-10am. You can help yourself to cereal and oatmeal but they also have different menu items everyday. Today was omlet with 5 toppings or a parfait. The meal was well balanced with an arugula salad and a healthy serving of a variety of fruit. Coffee, tea, milk and OJ available. I loved sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs throughout the day reading my book. They offer blankets and umbrellas. Lemonade, coffee, tea, cookies, and wine are available in the evenings sometimes. Water (hot and cold) available from their filtered machine. You can sit inside or enjoy the porch area where there was a nice breeze. The owner, Sne, can be found working at all hours of the day. From serving coffee in the morning, fixing something in the afternoon, and delivering ice cream in the evening. He takes great care of the place and it's decorated with antiques he has collected. Only a couple blocks away from the boardwalk/wateraprk. The hospitality, attention to detail, and cleanliness were unmatched. We were only here for a night and are excited to return next time.
