I tried a free trial class at club pilates today. I was looking to find something more for core strengthen switch up my workout. It was easy to get to with lots of parking. I arrived 15mins early to fill out waiver and buy grippy socks. The beginner intro class was 30mins alot of nice guided help. I enjoyed it alot and will be looking into drop in classes. read more

Booked a class and highly disappointed in the service. I called prior to arriving and I spoke with Julia to ask if I needed anything. She said I only needed to sign a waiver and bring grip socks. She called me at 12:33P to let me know she wouldn't be able to let me in the class after 12:35P. I told her I was parking and would make it by 12:35P. She said ok she would squeeze me in. I walked through the door at 12:35P. She refused to let me in. She gave me the option to reschedule next week. I explained I wasn't sure I'd be able to reschedule but she didn't care. She still didn't let me in. I stood in the front showing her my phone that it showed 12:36P now from standing there talking. She didn't care. I commuted far and i can see the class had just got started. I just left Extremely disappointing and will never come to this location again. I forgot to mention I saw online there was another class being offered at 1:30P that she didn't even mention; which showed 3 spots left. I thought to pay online and just take that one since I was already here but after the interaction, I'd never want to support a location that treats ppl that way. read more

Club Pilates has been a great place for me and in just one month of attending classes in the new Village Shoppes Canton location, I've recognized that my outlook on exercise (something I struggled with very much in the past) is so much better, encouraged in a positive way, and so much more holistic. I had only taken mat pilates classes in the past, so all the new-to-me equipment is exciting to use and I look forward to the different class offerings. I've taken an intro class, level 1 and level 1.5 classes, and they can be so different. I was huffing and puffing in a Suspend 1.5 class, using TRX bands and wondering if I was going to survive the hour; Reformer Flow 1 classes that allow me to really stretch and listen to my body - recognize what positions I'm in and if I'm in pain and need to modify, or if I can challenge myself further. My favorite was a Reformer 1.5 class where I realized I still have a lot of my flexibility from my dance years but still need to build my ab muscles to bring myself back upright without looking like a fish out of water. I've had 4 different teachers so far and they bring so much to the table (or reformer, rather) - they're all encouraging in different ways - they seem to always have their eye on you so you know you'll get guidance if you need it, yet I don't feel like I'm being watched or judged, and they share their love and knowledge for the practice in a way that motivates. I've tried to go to other pilates studios in the past, but they've had this air about them that made it really intimidating--this is not the case at Club Pilates. I have enjoyed working with their staff and teachers - Amy and Jen are fantastic and have been so helpful and go above and beyond. I've realized that I can get a well-rounded workout via Club Pilates and recently canceled my 13 year old gym membership to opt for unlimited classes at Club Pilates. Why pay for something that I don't use and don't enjoy going to when I can really invest in something I can already tell is working? Currently, I couple this with weekly spin classes - just to mix things up and challenge myself with a different and intense type of workout. If you're on the fence, just try a free intro class. I love Club Pilates. The instructors are all great and the place is very comfortable and well laid out. I have been using these classes at least twice per week since February and have noticed a distinct difference in the both the way my clothes are fitting and my posture in general ... I love that they have classes for all abilities so you never feel bored or lose incentive...They are def helping me get back into shape after this pandemic.
