I feel like with a few tweaks this could be an amazing studio, but for now it's not one I'll go out of my way for. First, I enjoyed the few classes I took here. I didn't enjoy that they started late, or that the instructors expected clients to flip their reformers for jumpboard classes without giving any instruction. I know how to do it, but then it became me doing it for the majority of clients since they were completely lost, all while the instructor socialized. Also, during class I was asked if I was okay and why I was breathing like that when I rocked some fog the mirror breath (like do you see this gut, I need to engage these abs!). This all added up to just a meh experience. For now this studio is out of my rotation. Note: Immediately after posting this review Wicker Park GM C. commented saying they couldn't find me in the system. I responded with my name and it's been crickets for days. Stupid me. Apparently they have no desire to "connect offline to learn more about your experience" or update their comment to confirm I've attended like I've asked. Instead, they're only looking to discredit my review. Note taken. I will not be back. read more

This is such an amazing studio! I felt welcomed immediately after I signed up for my membership. The first time I went to class, they were waiting to say hi to me. The workouts are great, the instructors are awesome, and I felt super comfortable even though I hadn't worked out for a bit before I joined. They have different levels, so I joined the beginners classes first & they showed me adjustments when I needed them. The management/front desk crew are also very kind. I tried out a free class with a friend in early 2020 and loved it! I'm not much of a gym person so this was a unique alternative to outdoor exercise in the winter months. After the class, I signed up for a few months membership but it ended up being cut short because of covid-19. I will say, throughout my entire experience, everyone I interacted with was wonderful. The company has good communication practices and really have done a great job handling the covid crisis (at least from my customer point of view). The classes themselves were a really great workout in terms of strengthening muscles. And there's only about 14 machines so classes are small and instructors can help each individual. Good music. Nice community. I'm an all-around fan and excited to see they've opened more locations. Can't wait to rejoin in the future! read more

I started at this Club Pilates location as a total beginner. The studio has a great sense of community and is very welcoming to people of all skill levels. All the instructors I've encountered were happy to answer my questions and help out before or after class. I'm always happy when I leave class and glad I attended. I love club Pilates! the instructors are so nice and welcoming and accepting of all fitness levels. It was a great to sign up over winter with a buddy when it was hard to drag myself to the gym to do workouts on my own. Unfortunately the membership was a bit costly for me to keep up with for the whole year but I'll be trying some drop in classes in the future or maybe signing up for a membership again when the winter comes around! The intro class (which got me to sign up) and the level one classes were pretty easy (even for me, and I'm not particularly fit / in shape. Most of my reviews are for food, let's be real). But the 1.5 kicked my butt -- and some instructors are tougher than others! The instructors made the Pilates reformer fun and not too difficult which is pretty impressive in my mind! The front staff was also nice and helpful and accommodated a schedule change when I had a medical issue. It's also convenient to book everything on the app. read more

I wanted to challenge myself with a new workout last year and tried Club Pilates and it did not disappoint. I had no idea how challenging, but rewarding pilates is. I tried a handful of instructors, but settled on only attending Allison H's classes. Allison is a very supportive, clear, and encouraging instructor. Her pace was great and the workouts were the perfect level of difficulty. I only went to the Wicker Park location, which was great because it's close to my home. The staff were very friendly and kind. I just canceled my membership because I'm looking to try other workouts, but I committed to this for almost a year! I certainly would not have stayed for that long if the service/instructors were poor. I'll likely be back! The only thing I wish they had (and maybe they do) are drop in classes. read more

Just writing an updated review: I recently moved out of the city and this studio is the thing I miss the most and the reason I put off moving! I'm so sad to have to leave it. After only a few months of coming to this studio, I was the strongest I had ever been. After a total of about 9 months of doing Pilates, I'm even stronger and have abs have for the first time in my life. I have a herniated disk- from weightlifting- so building core strength has been an absolute life changer. No more pain!! The staff is amazing, the classes are plentiful, and the workouts are challenging. Give it week and I swear you'll feel and see what I mean. Thank you, Club Pilates Wicker Park! read more

Terrible business. My mom signed up for a membership and soon after found out signing up that her cancer had returned and she needed to begin treatment immediately. She reached out to the company and they are giving her the hardest time canceling the membership. Instead of showing any compassion they are charging her $109/month until she can provide a letter from her oncologist stating that she actually has cancer. Just cruel and unnecessary. I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone. read more

I'm hooked! I love Club Pilates - it's a great way to integrate an effective and unique way to work out. I was always a HIIT or Orange Theory type of person and as I grow older, I'm realizing I need to increase the frequency of my low impact workouts. I also had a recent injury to my right Achilles and using the reformer has proven to be the best way to increase flexibility and mobility in my foot. I just had my first class at this studio. I tried the cardio sculpt class which was a good work out, definitely pushed me to my limits and had my muscles shaking. Pros - great instructor, clean and brand new equipment. Instructor used a mic so I could hear her clearly. Described instructions well and even demonstrated some moves for us. Provided ample corrections as well. Prior to this class, I was in contact with the owner Stephanie who is great - extremely responsive to all questions. Cons - no free parking. When I initially signed up, I was told by the owner there was a small parking lot in the back of the studio. I had assumed this would be free parking but turns out it is actually all metered parking - not sure if I want to pay $2 each class for parking. I think the parking is a huge con for me (reason for minus 1 star), I'm still weighing if I should keep this membership long term due to the parking situation. They could also play the music a little bit louder. If you live nearby and can walk or bike, I would highly recommend this studio. If you're driving, I don't think this is ideal long term as there are other Pilates studios around with free parking. read more

I recently took a free intro class after seeing ads for Club Pilates on Instagram. I have always wanted to try a reformer Pilates class. The free class was extremely enjoyable, yet challenging, and the instructor made me feel like I'd been a client for years. Very pleasant, informative and encouraging. The type of exercise itself is actually "fun!" I had no idea there were so many ways to work the body using the reformer & other equipment. I bought a membership with no question after the class that night and it's been a great decision. I love reformer work, I love the clean & comfortable studio & the friendly, welcoming team at Club Pilates Wicker Park, and I look forward to my classes! 5 STARS ALL AROUND!! read more

As a person who has loved fitness and hard core sweating my hold life, I never thought I would love Pilates as much as I do, but I am absolutely hooked on Club Pilates! I started at the Lincoln Park location until the Wicker Park location opened this summer/fall. I love that there is now a location in Wicker Park, the studio is clean and so welcoming. Stephanie, the GM knows everybody by name and is always so welcoming. The teachers are so good, hard in the absolute best way. There is a nice variety of class types, from flows, to jumping, to sculpt...pretty much something for everyone. Modifications can be offered for almost any exercise so you do not need to worry about being at a certain fitness level. Get started at CPWP today and you will see your fitness level and body change before you know it, my strength and muscle tone has never looked or been better. read more
