I love Pilates and this is a great studio. The instructors are all wonderful and each one teaches differently. The girls at the front desk are adorable. There are a few of us who have been coming for a while but there are always new people including a few men. I have done a lot of exercise in my life but Pilates has been the only one that I have seen changed in my body . It's great for my strength,. balance., and mind. Frustrating experience. The messages only said to arrive 15 minutes early to check in, not that if you're even 1 minute late after class starts they won't let you in at all. I understand having policies, but that part should've been clearly communicated beforehand. There's terrible construction in Gilbert right now that caused delays and we were barely late. If you are an individual who is looking to get in shape, has a weak core, beginner cardio level, and wants a low impact approach to improve your fitness, this might be the place for you. There are so many older gals here. Definitely an awesome place to meet some friends, and get connected into a facility that will help you build and maintain balance and strength. So, for this individual -- I say go for it, you will love it!! But...If you are a fit individual with 6+ months of modern Pilates experience, this is NOT the place for you. The workouts were extremely easy, and the club throttles how many people can join in on the more advanced classes by requiring you to test up to those levels. The hitch is those testing events only allow a certain number of participants, and are held once a quarter. Customer service was great, the employees were helpful and kind. This location has some experienced instructors, and it is clean, and has a MULTIPLE different pieces of equipment to integrate into the workout. Also, I didn't try out the cardio sculpt class. It looks like it would be a good workout, but the schedule was full, and the addition of the jump board made it inaccessible for myself, d/t traumatic ankle injury. Finally, definitely do a trial. Don't sign any contracts. The 3 months is a commitment, so make sure this is the place for you. I would recommend asking the management to offer you the opportunity to try them out for a week, two, or a month with a discount or sign on offers if you sign the contract after your initial trial. I attended this studio for 2.5 years. I really enjoyed the amazing teachers and the classes. My reason for giving 2/5 stars is for the customer service. When I went to cancel my membership because I wasn't getting enough value for what I was paying and other Pilates studios in the area are offering unlimited classes for less...I decided to talk to the front desk at my next class. I told them I wanted to cancel and they said someone else will have to call you tomorrow about that. The next day I got an email to cancel. They said I needed to pay for the next 2 months because I told them about cancellation at 29 days and the rule is 30. I said can I get an exception to this? I thought I needed to do it in person or I would have done it over email the day before. I got an email back the next day very dismissive didn't say anything helpful or nice and just said sign this contract that you'll pay for the next 2 months. That put a real bad taste in my mouth for someone who has been very loyal to this studio for 2 years. read more

I just started Pilates not too long ago and I love it here!! I got the unlimited plan and I've been able to schedule about 5 classes a week. All the instructors are amazing and the front desk staff is also really friendly and helpful. I'm so happy I found this place! I can definitely feel the difference and the hour goes by quick! I went for a Free class, it was nice. They told me the prices at the end, which were really high and they make you sign a three month contract however what they don't tell you is there's almost never a class available I ask point blank wii I'd be able to get a class when I wanted it to cause my schedule is hectic, when I signed up, she said yes they're always a class available . even if you get on the waitlist you will get in. However, that was not the case. so I signed first time I tried to use my pass I didn't get the class Before that I called and they kept ensuring me I was going to get in and then I didn't. I've spoke with the manager and she lied so now I'm out of the money that I paid for. the classes and wasn't abailble for any classes I wanted.to I would not recommend this studio. try different one because this one not good. i'll value truth and integrity. Do not do your teacher training with CP. I regret wasting my time and money with this unprofessional, short sighted company. I am incredibly disappointed and frustrated with my experience, not only with the training itself but also with HR, who completely disregarded my complaint . They prioritise quantity over quality, loose all interest once they receive payment and do not care about their clients. My wife went to try this place out, no commitments. She paid 190.00 dollars signed no contract and decided to quit after three weeks because the class was always full. There was a email that you can fill out (survey) then they will cancel your contract. She decided to quit because she sign no contract but whats happening is this place is automatically charging a card that has been hacked. I would NEVER ever go to this establishment. I went to learn and try a class because I wanted to get involved. The people ONLY discouraged me and 'disallowed' me from EVER trying their 'Intro Class' I messaged them afterward and was told they would get back to me but they never did. DISAPPOINTED in the manner I was treated. ***AFTER*** A very nice woman named Pam contacted me and spent a good amount of time with me to learn about my 'experience' with the Club. She later invited me in to work 1 on 1 with her give me the opportunity to 'try' pilates on the reformer. At first, I was hesitant but thought about it and really wanted to try it so I messaged her and we worked it out. When I arrived, Pam was very warm and gracious and also thought I'd be a great teaching tool for the instructor training she was hosting throughout the day. Pam was able to turn my negative experience into a positive and used my physiological issues as a great training tool for other instructors to learn from. I would give zero stars if possible. This place SUCKS. They require you to do an intro level class before any of the other classes , so okay fair enough. Then there's basically no availability ever for the intro class level. I had to wait over a week to even get into an available class and then the day of the class. They tell you to arrive early to learn how to use the machince, and I was ONE MINUTE late due to an accident on the freeway that I could not control, and they said they didn't care and I would have to reschedule, so I said no thanks and just left because their attitude was a bit standoffish and put me off. Turns out they don't start explaining the machine until class time starts so I hadn't missed anything as it was. My two friends who did make it in time for the class also said it sucked and wasn't worth it anyways so I was actually lucky they didn't let me in and missed it after all. My friends had to buy grippy socks (which they do tell you about beforehand) but they don't tell you their socks cost $15!! You can get a 6 pack on Amazon for $15! One friend left halfway through because she was bored and the one that stuck it out said she didn't break a sweat and it was a pointless class and neither of them would go back. Overall -- DON'T COME HERE, there's way better places nearby that actually have availability, are nicer and understanding that people have lives and things happen, and don't think they have designer products on the shelves so they're affordable for everyone! read more

I signed up for the unlimited plan, but after a week my work schedule changed and there was a $100 fee to cancel. It feels like such a rip off to have to pay $179 plus $100 for only 1 week, which most places offer as a trial period. For future first timers, I would say to expect 5 minutes of info, 15 minutes of actual demo then 10 minutes of discussing their membership. This was my first time in a pilates studio. Very clean and very relaxed. I tried the "Demo" class that they offer for first timers. My instructor, Becky was very informative but it's a lot of information to squeeze into a "30" minute session. By the time she was done going over the equipment, we started to do some variations using our core strength. Then maybe 15 minutes into the work out before another woman (Pam), had introduced herself to us. Then she began talking about membership passes. To me, this seemed a little cheesy. As I completely understand the whole point of this process is to sign up with a membership and to make this a lifestyle. If you drop in it's $30 or you can buy 8 session or there is an unlimited option. This studio isn't cheap, but if you can afford it and pilates is for you- the unimited will be the best savings. With all of that being said... My suggestion to the business would be to make the Demo classes longer. Give the instructor enough time to go over the information we need to know, let us get a decent work out in for the remaining 45 minutes... Then talk to me about a membership. I am sorry but if I wasn't given enough time to break a sweat, I am going to think paying $200 a month is not worth it. I ended up going to my gym after this class to get in more of a work out... However, the facility is very clean and organized and Becky was very helpful. I was a little bummed that it wasn't a longer session to get the full experience and that I probably wont be coming back. read more

I am new to pilates and after a complimentary 30 minute demo with instructor Dream I was hooked on the reformer. I signed up for an 8 sessions/month package (3 month commitment) on the spot. Sadly, besides Dream, I have yet to find an instructor/class that I enjoyed. Club Pilates classes are supposedly structured with 30 minutes reformer time plus 20 minutes other equipment (TRX, barre, mat, BOSU, chair, etc.). The most time I have spent on a reformer is 10 minutes in a 50 minute class. In addition to close to no reformer time is the franchise owner who does a poor job of representing the Club Pilates brand. Because of this, I will be switching my membership to the Chandler location for the remainder of my membership. I have also had a class start 7 minutes late, then the instructor had us gather additional equipment from the back of the studio. The class ended at 50 minutes past the hour meaning my session lasted ~40 minutes. As for the quality of the classes, I am new to pilates but I suggest that experienced pilates practitioners pay for a couple of drop in classes before signing up for a 3 month commitment. My friend who signed up at the same time I did told me she would not be renewing her membership and will go back to her old studio as she was not impressed with the classes either. read more

I fell in love with Pilates when I signed up for a demo class and have been coming here at least 3 times a week since it first opened. Stretch-ilates is my favorite class even though it causes the most pain; but I leave feeling amazing. Ever heard of the Piriformis? Yeah, not fun to stretch if you've never touched it before. Cardio sculpt is my second favorite class, it makes me feel like Peter Pan. The place is nice and clean; some other locations not so much. The owner is the nicest guy and does whatever he can to help you with your membership and making sure you're having a good experience. The teachers are great and always making sure you are in good form. And they continuously add new classes so even people with crazy schedules can fit some time in. All in all, this location is my favorite and if you've been wanting to try Pilates, I suggest you sign up for a demo! read more

Best discovery ever. After a breakfast at Egg & Joe my husband suggested let's check out the Pilates place. I asked RU Crazy? We met Doug and Pam and I signed up for once a week, three weeks later I upgraded to twice a week, a week later I upgraded to unlimited. Each class is different and leaves you eager for another class. I am 64 years in age, never been to a gym, have some health issues yet in the past 5 weeks feel both physically & mentally stronger than I have for a very long time. Manager has No concept of customer service or ownership of staffing issues. Certain instructors were borderline rude and not helpful. I am just starting my fitness journey later in life but I was so excited to try this out. It is more expensive than several other gyms/classes I looked into but I needed something low impact. The intro class was not as good as it had been at the baseline center and the instructor was not very friendly or helpful. I decided to try it anyway since it was a little closer but that was a mistake!!! I am not sure if the instructors just don't want heavier/older people that need more instructions or accommodations but that is how it felt. I asked if I could transfer to baseline location but Apparently their "corporate" office does not allow transfers between locations for any reason, even when a customer is not happy, treated like a nuisance, etc. Additionally the only option offered by the manager was a $100 cancellation fee (never mentioned at sign up but was told I should have read all the agreement when I got my packet) then I could go to the other location , pay the start up fee again, blah blah blah. So lesson learned, buyer beware. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

I'm so sore!! I just started Pilates a few weeks ago. Before Pilates, I worked out at least three times a week usually more. I've been doing CrossFit for six years and I also supplement it with weight training at Lifetime Gym. I cannot believe how sore my core is from a 50 minute class at club Pilates! I don't think my abs have ever been so sore. And what is craziest to me is that I didn't feel like I was even doing that much at the time I was working out. Member since Feb. and have completed over 100 classes. My "home" Club Pilates is in CA. Been exposed to over 12 Club Pilates instructors and had my worst experience at this location. Called the owner today to let him know. Wasn't going to write this until I saw one of the instructors (whom I haven't met) defend the club against another YELPER who had provided accurate and honest feedback. See note at bottom. So here's my experience to help people in our community make a choice, afterall, this is what YELP is for: Positives: 1. Location is clean, just as clean as others. I think the arrangement of the studio equipment is different than other locations, which likely leads to the other yelper's perception of "unclean". 2. PAM is the lead instructor and has unmatched energy and enthusiasm! You can quickly see that she has years and years in the fitness industry and offers corrections and exercises that get you in shape. She is not shy about offering each client "corrections" to aid in their safety and overall benefit. I was pleased that she helped me (all participants) so freely and so often. 3. PAM and DOUG (owner) are both open to feedback. Let them know, so they can make this club everything the members want it to be, they want to improve! 4. This is a NEW location, still learning and growing, but MOST importantly, part of an outstanding franchise. You can go to other locations to try other classes and instructors too! 5. I've been working out for decades and Pilates changed my body the most! I love it! Negatives: 1. Attended 3 classes at this location. 2 of 3 started late. Unacceptable. Period. People pay for sometimes 1-8 sessions per month and this is a VERY expensive hour. Late comers miss out. After 10 minutes, the franchise rule is they don't get to join the class. That rule exists for a reason. This is the ONE and ONLY business stick to the EXACT start time, with no exceptions, except here. This is an opportunity. Don't wait. Start on time. If you don't you'll lose clients. This is an easy fix. 2. Participants need to be asked prior to class starting if they have injuries. 1 instructor did NOT ask anyone if they had issues and did not stop or adjust the moves despite participants stopping and "quitting" the move. People don't stop just because they are tired, old or out of shape. There's something wrong with the instruction, a teacher should never "lose the class". This instructor ignored these major signs. (Not named, as I gave DOUG the feedback directly and it is my intention to help this club improve and most specifically this instructor). Instructors need to reset if they see people struggling, don't assume it is the participant's issue. You're the instructor, you need to be sure all "students" pass without injury and enjoy it! 3. Weak verbal cues from instructors- participates are new and don't know pilates. Stronger and more detailed cues will help the participants know the "why" behind what they are doing and improving. 4. Need Lesson Plan- don't just do things on the fly and keep us doing more than 16-20 reps of the same move while you're determining in your mind "what's next". Borning and transparent that you care less about us. 5. Disorganized check in process- in over 100 classes, I have never had 13 people in the class "by accident". If this were to happen again, where I had to "share" a reformer, I'd cancel my membership entirely. This is too expensive and there's enough technology provided, if you can't accurately count the attendance of 12 people, you don't get to have me as a member. Period. Inconsiderate to those of us who signed up and follow all of the rules around class attendance. More baffling...there was a front desk person working at that time too! 6. Too many higher level classes offered, not enough participant knowledge. People are signing up for the classes and aren't ready. This is easy fixed with a "certification process" for the students or at this point, the faster remedy, don't offer them. My club location in CA offers only 2 level 2 classes a week. It has only been open since OCT and the majority of the population doesn't have it "down" yet. More 2 levels will be added as the participants' skill levels improve. This hitch slows everyone down, creates frustration and confusion. Real level 2 people are held back and can't enjoy the class when beginners join and need extra instruction. Most importantly people get hurt. 7. the instructor's rebellion (response) on yelp should be removed. It is only proper for the business owner to reply otherwise it feels like retaliation. I wasn't going to write this review and after reading her review, it was necessary to keep the "spirit" of YELP pure. read more

All of the instructors are very well educated and work to customize your workout based on your body and any injuries you may have. Club Pilates Gilbert has saved me the gym membership by offering the classes I really wanted for just the cost of the class. This clean, organized studio offers a variety of classes at convenient times, and I've enjoyed the diversity of teaching styles among the instructors. I have been coming since they opened in Gilbert, so about 4 months now. Prior to ClubPilates opening in Gilbert, I had over a year of experience at another private studio. I try to complete 4 classes a week minimum. I have come in early and in the afternoon - the studio is always clean and the staff friendly. I've worked out with teenagers and with octogenarians. I feel the teachers are patient and attentive. I've taken the reformer flow class, the cardio sculpt class, and the center+balance stretch class. I feel energized and strong after each class and would recommend the classes to anyone interested in getting started with Pilates. read more

Since I signed up I've gone 5 days a week taking advantage of the options that they have in each class ( TRX, BARRE, CARDIO and reformer) Even though I'm challenged in every class I feel stronger every day..
