In August of 2025, I will have been attending Pilates classes for 4 years at the Palm Springs studio. Right now I am only 8 classes away from my 500th class! Never did I think I would enjoy exercising as much as I have with Pilates. Everyone has their favorite instructors and I'd like to give a shoutout to Gaylynn, Randy, Stephen and Jason! Each instructor is a little different in his/her approach to instructing us and that makes the classes that much more enjoyable. I can honestly say that I have never been bored because each class is different from the last. I am 72 years old and initially began Pilates because of a serious bout with sciatica. After one month of Pilates, the sciatica was gone and has never returned. Even my primary care physician has told me to keep doing what I'm doing because, knock on wood, I don't have any health issues! With the 4 classes I am taking each week, PIlates has transformed my physical strength, flexibility and balance. My hat is off to the front desk staff ( Ray and Nicole) and instructors at Club Pilates in Palm Springs. I don't want to forget to mention that I have met some of the friendliest and most wonderful people with whom I take classes. Pilates is and always will be in integral part of my life!! read more

Club Pilates is an elitist Pilates club and they run their business like a military base. Some instructors are good but some others are very mediocre and I have injured myself few times trying to do what they are instructing us to do because their instruction is so generic and inconsiderate to injuries and age. They force you to wear these ridiculous socks supposedly for hygiene reasons but honestly for money making reasons because they sell the socks there. I have been to other Pilates studios where they do no force you to buy any particular kind of socks and they care a lot more for the individual. If you only want to take 8 classes a month it is very hard to get in. You have to buy their more expensive program and even then you get on the waiting list and your are lucky if you get in the class which you only know a day earlier. Most of the times is last minute message. There is such mendacity and pretension in this group I do not want to be a member of it. read more

I LOVE Club Pilates! I've been attending classes for about 9 months now and I've noticed some incredible changes in my body. My core is much stronger, Muy back line is more solid and defined, my flexibility is improving and my balance is getting stronger and more stable. The teachers are wonderful. Because of the smaller class sizes, they are able to give more one on one attention and if needed, they are very aware and helpful in providing modifications for students with injuries or health concerns. The receptionists are also super friendly and very helpful! Overall, I can't say enough good things about Club Pilates! His reply is filled with lies and sexist remarks referring to me as "aggressive" for standing up for myself in a situation his GM and he as the owner created out of thin air. Note that in his current response, he stands by their conduct of trying to make customers feel bad or as though they've done something wrong by using their unlimited membership according to the terms of the contract. That's what his GM did (in an extremely rude manner), and it is clear by his own response he posted here that he's pushing this highly unethical business practice. Every customer has the same opportunity to book 15 classes at a time. No one customer is doing anything wrong or inconsiderate of other members by booking a class that has an open spot... a spot that every single other customer had the opportunity to book up until the exact moment that it's booked by someone. I did not request that my membership be cancelled. I asked for the owner to call me. He cancelled my membership immediately in a conversation that lasted a total of one minute per the call log. The only reason it lasted that long and the only reason I sent follow up emails was to try to get my CycleBar membership cancelled, too. At first, they were going to try to make me continue to pay for a membership at their CycleBar franchise after abruptly cancelling my Club Pilates membership. His response also implies that doing Pilates multiple hours per day is somehow unsafe. (I think Joseph Pilates may have just rolled over in his grave.) They run fitness studio franchises and don't seem to understand that their customers have varying ability levels. This is the opposite of the spirit of the fitness industry as I've experienced it. In every other fitness studio I've belonged to in 20 years in the various places I've lived, they were thrilled to have people who were enthusiastic about being there and positive to everyone as I have always been. With all of the in-person and written interactions regarding this situation, it is very clear that the owners do not want to take any accountability for their actions and do not think they have done anything wrong. They think this unethical business practice is acceptable, per his response. This is exactly how they want to run their business and treat their most enthusiastic paying customers. read more

I've always been intimidated by the thought of joining a gym (due to an old injury), but Club Pilates put all those fears to rest. From the first phone call to set up a free session to the weekly Reformer Flow 1 classes, the experience has been very positive. The instructors/trainers are good people who really care. I sometimes worry that I'm slowing down others in class because of my questions, but I'm always treated with kindness and respect when I do have to ask for help. My Medicare Advantage Plan included a Renew Active benefit. Club Pilates participates in Renew Active that includes 4 classes per month. Club Pilates Palm Springs is the only thing I'm OK doing at 6 AM other than sex. And then Studio has me looking forward to every session. You gain something from every class and from every instructor. You make it your own and they're there to help guide you for modifications or to help make it more difficult to make sure you get the most out of every class. I have had severe scoliosis since the age of 15, surgery, Herrington rods to straighten my spine along with a T6-L4 fusion. This has led to many issues including limited mobility but with Pilates I can strengthen my core and get the right work out for my body. I joined and had a 8 class monthly membership since I work full time. Classes were fun and challenging. When the snowbirds came to town I couldn't get my classes. I put myself on the waitlist and still didn't get them. You get charged even if you don't attend. It's really frustrating when you want a class and can't get one. This happened to me 4 times in a row with classes various days and times. I spoke to management about it and they comped me one class. I was still unable to get the classes I wanted and I had to cancel my membership. It's not fair when full time desert residents can't get classes. read more

I have been a Pilates fan for about 10 years. I joined the PS Club Pilates as soon as it opened and have an unlimited membership so I can go as often as I like, which is usually 2-3 times a week. Classes are at convenient times for me as a self-employed person and I can pick morning, mid-day, or afternoon classes depending on my weekly schedule. The instructors are all excellent (though I have my favs, of course) and friendly. The studio seems to be well-run. They are a little conservative in what they are allowed to teach (no inversions like Short-Spine, for example, which I happen to love), but no one will get hurt, that's for sure. I've never done Pilates before but was looking for an alternative to Yoga so decided to give this place a try. It was great! The facility is brand new and is well laid out. Everyone has their own space and you don't feel cramped. I also love that you can easily see the class schedule and sign up for classes online. You need to do free intro class where they explain how to use and get in and out of all the equipment and explain the different exercises. Jeanette was the instructor and was very patient and explained things very thoroughly and I was ready for my first class. My first class was with Steven, and it went really well. It was challenging, yet meditative. He focused on breathing and pacing and gave great options to make it harder or easier. The time flew by and I left feeling worked out but also refreshed.
