There are many good reasons for this place being the top rated pilates studio in Pam Springs. Cannot list every great quality. The instructors are superb--when recently in the Desert we had Jesse, a former model and film actor superb instructor --all my friends who joined us in class loved the class and Jesse. The machines are superb--metal and terrific to work on them with as many adjustments available as you ever wish. The pilates students are very nice and truly comfortable to enjoy everyone. omgwtfsrsly!!!! These guys are not messing around with fitness. Sometimes in Palm Springs I feel like goods and services are a little pared down or out ofdate compared to what one might have the opportunity to experience in LA. That is so NOT the case at Pilates Plus. This is a ifrst rate pilates and training gym with up to date equipment, space and fitness approaches. If I lived here. this would be my go-to for something above and beyond a Gold's or 24 Hour Fitness. Today, I experienced the Circuit Weight class, and it was the bomb. we started with a very good warm up, getting our blood flowing and cardiovasuclar systems started. For the majority of the class,we did a 4 part curcuit incorporating a squat/medicine ball station, push up/row station, squat//kettlebell upright row station and a kettlebell swing station. I love that Sean incorporated the kettlebelles because I have really been enjoying them recently and was happy to have some instruction in using them. Also, Sean gave all participants gentle correctives and form instruction and struck a good balance of encouragement and coaching with modification instruction, never going to OTT in terms of coaching. I hate a trainer who coaches me to the extent that they behave like a drill sergeant. I am going to be sore tomorrow, and it was just what I needed today. Thanks guys! read more

Was spending the weekend in the area and thought I'd give this place a go. Totally different than the SPX Pilates that I'm used to but i really enjoyed the class! My instructor was Ron who also owns the studio. Super nice teacher with a keen focus on form...i loved that! Usually an instructor will come around and correct your form every once in a while but Ron def seemed like a stickler with form with everyone...he knew everyone in the studio by name and was not shy in pointing out form faults with everyone. That's the way it should be as good form prevents injuries. Looks like there are 10 SPX machines and also something called the WundaChair which I wish I got to try out...next time...next time. read more

My favorite workout on the planet. I am fully addicted to Pilates plus. I could never do a mat class again. I started pilates plus faithfully for almost a year. I was completely out of shape and could barely do the exercises. This workout helped me To drop 20 pounds. I am regaining muscle in my legs like I did in high school, and getting core abdominal strength I've never had. I also enjoy this workout because it's kind to my joints. All the instructors are super killer and push you to become stronger. I was always a quiter when it came to working out like most people who make it their new years resolution and go back to same bad habits but this workout is so unique and the results are quick and noticeable. I've been a Pilates Plus member for 3 years now and still can't get enough of it. I've worked out my whole life but Pilates Plus has toned and strengthened my body better than any gym or other activity I've done. The instructors are amazing and are always adding new moves to keep the classes fresh and challenging. The 50 minutes always flies by. I paid for an entire month of unlimited classes to help me cope with taking care of my terminally ill mom. I was able to only take two. My mom passed away. I sent a nice e-mail to the studio explaining my situation, and asking if I could take a couple of makeup classes or whatever they felt was fair. Their reply was " Sorry for your loss, but there is nothing we can do for you. Your package had expired. " OUCH! I didn't ask for a private lesson or a massage or my money back! That is very cold! For people who are supposed to make you feel good that was a very cruel reply. It's been almost a year but I still feel upset that they had zero compassion. It wasn't the money - it was the attitude. Bad business decision too, as Palm Springs is a very small town. read more

After taking Pilates classes for 13 months, I am able to swing a golf club and play a round of golf, the first time in 10 years! I was in a car accident in 2008 and had my lower spine fused in 2012. My range of motion and flexibility were non-existent and I truly believed the game I had learned to play 55 years ago was no longer a possibility. Ron was a sheer delight: an excellent teacher who pushed us but not in an aggressive way and who seemed dedicated to making sure we had correct form. This place is a revelation. The instructors act like personal trainers in every single class. They are extremely knowledgeable, and are true teachers. I've trained at many pilates studios, and this one, by far, is the best I've ever been to. The reformers here are called Proformers. They are state of the art. These machines are truly amazing. The instructors here have a passion for teaching pilates. I've attended the bend and stretch class, as well as the group reformer class. Both are equally wonderful. The instructors explain each exercise, why you are doing it, and why it's important to do it correctly. If you are serious about pilates, and really want to know how it benefits you, then this is definitely the place for you. Keep the Lulu Lemon attire at home. This isn't a studio where people show off. This is a studio to get a phenomenal workout, at ANY level! Ron is a wonderful instructor, as is Niki. I have not attended any classes taught by the other instructors, but I'm sure they will not disappoint. BTW, I have nothing against Lulu...I love their clothes. :) read more

I've been lucky enough to experience this transformation thanks to Pilates Plus! After years of trying nearly every kind of workout, I feel like I've found the most effective and enjoyable way to stay looking and feeling great thanks to the awesome trainers here. I started taking classes 6 months ago. I started out once a week and now I go 3 times a week. I have seen a significant change in my body and health. I never really cared for the gym but Pilates has opened my eyes. I feel stronger healthier and so aware of my body and mind. Ron and Niki have been so AMAZING! I look forward to every class and wish I had the time to go daily. I have also taken one 50/50 class which is half spin and half Pilates on the reformer and what an amazing intense experience.
