View of a reformer bed plus some other equipment such as a mat, TRX straps, balance ball, etc.
    Christina O.

I'm brand new to the world of reformer Pilates (or any Pilates honestly). As an out of shape full-time working mom in her early 40s, I was extremely intimidated to try it, but had heard it was perfect for someone like me with injuries to be wary of. But I was so worried I would end up humiliated and discouraged amongst a room of extremely fit Pilates pros who scoffed at my audacity to try, and worried that the trainers/coaches would be annoyed with answering my questions and guiding me as a Pilates n00b. Thankfully, that has been nothing like what I've experienced so far since taking the plunge and signing up for the free intro class. Everyone is kind, the gym goers are diverse in age, fitness level, ethnicity, etc. It feels inclusive, and the vibe is very important to me. I'm so glad I decided to give Club Pilates Redlands a try! I've now attended two official classes in addition to my intro class, and I get excited to go each time. I love that there is variation in the way the trainers lead the classes, (keeps me from getting bored), and I love the PHYSICAL challenge it gives me (prepare to drip sweat lol). The trainers have been fantastic. And don't worry, the equipment is very clean and wiped down well by each attendee after each use. One caution, and one minor complaint. Caution- if you have a busy schedule, it may be challenging to find a class that not only works for your availability, but is at your level (e.g., level 1 or 1.5 for beginners), AND has spots available. There are only 12 spots per class. So far, it has been ok, but I see that I'm going to have to schedule them out as far as possible. My minor complaint is that I am Hard of Hearing and so far I have struggled to hear the instructors at each class. They walk back and forth between the 2 rows of reformers throughout the class, so when they turn away, I can't really hear them, and I miss instructions and tips on form. Thankfully I can usually glance over at my neighbors and see what they're doing. They also play music during the class, which I love, and it isn't super loud or anything, it just makes for additional challenge to hear them, even with my hearing aids in. Voice amplification would completely resolve this and would be beneficial to all class attendees. :) Overall I am highly recommending Club Pilates Redlands and will update this review if necessary. :)

It was a substitute elderly retired teacher that taught today who seems already tired during the class. They should at least let the people know in the class if they are having a substitute teacher for the day. It is waste of time for people who is on credits and not unlimited class. I will not recommend this place. Too small and expensive for what they have to offer. They also send out links to write them 5 star reviews in exchange for 2 free classes.

Good instructors but the studio needs a deep clean. All of the reformers and exo chairs are dirty.

Ask the Community - Club Pilates

How hard is it to get into classes if I work a regular full time job, Monday - Friday 6:30am-4pm? Are the classes before or after this time always full?

You can schedule classes in advance to fit your schedule using the Club Pilates app. We will assist you with that. There are also waitlists that work very well.

Are week trials available for a cost? This would be better for me to make a decision. Do you allow such latitudes? Also, what is the slowest time of the week (days & times)?

Hello we do not offer weekly trials however we do offer a free introductory class. Our memberships are monthly... Lately more than ever we're getting busier and our members love our classes. We would love to have you connect with one of our team…

What is the cost of a 4 pack? I'd rather not go in for one free class if I know I can't afford a membership.

    I hear it's $200 per month with a 3 month commitment

What are the membership costs like?

Hi our membership prices vary based upon how often you want to join our club. Please use this link to book a complimentary intro class and receive more information about our classes.…

I've taken 291 classes here and counting...mostly the 6:30 a.m. or 8:30 a.m. classes...my favorite way to wake up, shake off the sleep, and flood my system with endorphins before the day even begins. Each instructor brings something special to the experience. Clay's Barre Elevate is a masterclass in precision and endurance; it's a full-body sermon. My arms, glutes, quads...all awakened and redefined. Kelsie's Reformer Pilates Signature classes blend strength and grace effortlessly, with flows that challenge your core and flexibility in all the right ways. Brooke's Reformer Pilates classes have pushed me to new levels, activating muscles I didn't even realize needed attention...with that perfect blend of focus, flow, and fire. Every instructor here is fantastic -- Ally, Pretty, Kari. You can tell they all genuinely care about helping you grow stronger, more balanced, and more confident. The studio also hosts periodic challenges that give you that extra push to stay consistent -- a fun and motivating reminder to show up for yourself and celebrate progress, not perfection. Redlands Barre has helped me build strength, flexibility, and confidence -- but also a deeper appreciation for discipline and balance. 291 classes later, and I still walk out taller, stronger, and a little more in love with the process.

I took the Pilates Gym class (don't let the name scare you -- there's no bench-pressing here unless it's reformer-related...and not even then). This isn't your typical contemporary Pilates class with synchronized leg lifts and forced serenity. Nope, this one's rooted in the classical method, and it shows. You get a personalized workout plan, access to all apparatuses, and the freedom to work at your own pace, like an introvert's dream workout. Megan was incredibly attentive and intuitive, helping me through exercises I would've skipped (read: panicked and pretended to adjust my grip socks) in a larger studio setting. I was dealing with some pain beforehand, but her guidance helped me modify and still get a solid workout. And let me tell you, your girl broke a sweat. The good kind. The "I feel accomplished but also mildly betrayed by my own muscles" kind. It's worth noting: this place isn't for the TikTok Pilates bandwagon recruits looking to pose on a reformer and call it a day. This is the real deal -- classical, precise, and actually challenging. If you're here for aesthetics only, prepare to be humbled by springs and straps. My only callout, and the reason for only four stars, is that the studio is upstairs and didn't seem to have a handicap-accessible entrance. Please correct me if I missed the elevator opportunity. I can't imagine a client with a disability being able to practice here unless they're willing to do a surprise stair workout. Still, for anyone who can make it up the stairs, State Street Pilates is a gem. Classical, effective, challenging and just the right amount of charm.
