Their yoga instructors are very friendly and incorporate their own yoga philosophy within the sessions. The Pilates and Barre classes are extremely unique. I've been to many Pilates studios in the past, but these are truly something else. A bonus is that the classes are small, creating a more relaxing and intimate environment. As an out of shape…read morefull-time working mom in her early 40s, I was extremely intimidated to try it, but had heard it was perfect for someone like me with injuries to be wary of. But I was so worried I would end up humiliated and discouraged amongst a room of extremely fit Pilates pros who scoffed at my audacity to try, and worried that the trainers/coaches would be annoyed with answering my questions and guiding me as a Pilates n00b. Thankfully, that has been nothing like what I've experienced so far since taking the plunge and signing up for the free intro class. Everyone is kind, the gym goers are diverse in age, fitness level, ethnicity, etc. It feels inclusive, and the vibe is very important to me. I'm so glad I decided to give Club Pilates Redlands a try! I've now attended two official classes in addition to my intro class, and I get excited to go each time. I love that there is variation in the way the trainers lead the classes, (keeps me from getting bored), and I love the PHYSICAL challenge it gives me (prepare to drip sweat lol). The trainers have been fantastic. And don't worry, the equipment is very clean and wiped down well by each attendee after each use. One caution, and one minor complaint. Caution- if you have a busy schedule, it may be challenging to find a class that not only works for your availability, but is at your level (e.g., level 1 or 1.5 for beginners), AND has spots available. There are only 12 spots per class. So far, it has been ok, but I see that I'm going to have to schedule them out as far as possible. My minor complaint is that I am Hard of Hearing and so far I have struggled to hear the instructors at each class. They walk back and forth between the 2 rows of reformers throughout the class, so when they turn away, I can't really hear them, and I miss instructions and tips on form. Thankfully I can usually glance over at my neighbors and see what they're doing. They also play music during the class, which I love, and it isn't super loud or anything, it just makes for additional challenge to hear them, even with my hearing aids in. Voice amplification would completely resolve this and would be beneficial to all class attendees. :) Overall I am highly recommending Club Pilates Redlands and will update this review if necessary. :)

We usually go around lunch hours, which is perfect because it's never too busy -- no waiting for machines, no crowding, just an easy, steady flow. I usually hop on the StairMaster for 5-10 minutes to warm up (and pretend I'm climbing to better glutes), then move into strength work. We mostly stick to the free weights and machines for now -- still a little intimidated by the barbells and squat racks, but we'll be weight-loading soon! I've also been eyeing their yoga classes -- just waiting for one that fits my schedule so I can finally stretch and zen out after all the lifting. It's the kind of gym that makes it easy to stay consistent -- judgment-free, motivating, and just the right mix of casual and serious fitness energy.

I also love how the challenging nature of the classes is balanced with a calm, warm, and comfortable studio environment. I've been doing yoga for almost 15 years now and this is tied (with my first hot yoga studio in Albuquerque, NM) for my favorite studio of all time. You rock, Tula! Other stuff: - I love the classes from Angelique and Frank the most but I've truly never had a bad instructor. Laurel and Kyra are excellent too. - This studio offers a ton of different classes at different times. Since then, they've moved to a terrible location with 5 parking spots. I drove by there after PAYING for my class and there was NO parking and I took one look at the place and opted out anyways. It's in a very dangerous area- I'm not parking a half mile away to walk on a busy street at night as a small woman. This is really frustrating. Move to an unsafe location, have no parking, can't get your money back for a drop in class, the website NEVER works- and their prices haven't gone down so what exactly are we paying for? The owners Tesla in the private parking lot they have (behind a big black gate) because they know it's in an unsafe location. It's giving scam. Disappointing. I won't be back.
