Parking can be tricky at times, they have designated spots in the parking lot but those tend to fill up fast. There are plenty of meters close by but also free parking a block or so away. I always leave here feeling like I had a great workout and really worked hard. This studio offers a variety of classes throughout the day. If I was in closer proximity I'd come more often. Classes are pricey though and it's expensive to be a member here. All kinds of packages are available but a 3-6 month pass ranges from $300-500. Every day, no matter who is instructing we leave there sweaty and energized to continue our day. It is always a very welcoming and supportive environment. If you are looking for a great work out in a supportive environment this is your place. I will say though if you are like Lou Melberg this is not the place for you. If you need a hug and constant recognition every time you walk in the door, you need a personal trainer! If you need to judge someone and predetermine that they are not fit enough to instruct a class you need to go somewhere else. Yes, the owners of this gym are amazing women but they are also business women and have to do what is best for their business, which may mean focusing more on the gym's that need them. Lou Melberg sorry if you didn't get enough attention, but no matter what size or body shape of the instructors there is no way you can go to Farrell's and say you didn't get a good workout. I love it and I could go on and on about Hotworx! Hotworx is very different from every other gym because all of the workouts are in saunas. It's intensely hot and you're supposed to work out! I do it five times a week, so I assure you, it can be done. Because the sessions are in saunas set to around 125F, they are shorter than they would be otherwise. It really is more workout in less time. Each sauna has a video screen with virtual instructors leading you through the session. Some of them are isometric workouts like yoga & pilates, and some of them have actual cardio equipment like bike machines. There is also a traditional weight-training room with plenty of gear (that area is room-temperature, thank goodness). The owners and the staff understand that it's a new experience for most people, so they''re available to answer questions and it's easy to arrange a free workout to see what it's about. I definitely recommend giving it a try! It's a lot cheaper than the big premium gyms and it definitely works. Despite whoat a heavy workout it can be, this is the only gym routine I've ever stuck with. I never make excuses not to come in because I genuinely want to come in.
