So far it's only okay. The hotel, itself is outdated. There is no shuttle to and from the airport, not even a 3rd party shuttle. The staff has been top notch though. Gym was okay, it's got a bunch of mismatched equipment. I was able to do a small work out and cardio so it worked out alright. There is no pool here which is my biggest gripe. It's my fault for not reading the amenities page thoroughly. All in all 3/5

Choose this hotel due to location. It was very nice. The room had two twin beds which was decent. The bath was okay. The gym was good for some cardio. Strongly recommend bringing your own water bottle as there are drinking water dispensers in the hallway. They do provide plastic bottles (which I kept using the same one). If I had known of the water dispensers, I would have brought one from home.

I was very excited when I booked this hotel as I was going to attend the Astros vs Mariners game, however, check in was bad. Had to get on a table that they have at the entrance and you have to register again, in order to get your room assigned (not sure why, when I had already made reservations?). After registration was completed, it said that we will be notified when the room was ready (mind you, it was past 4pm when I did this). We waited at the lobby for a text or something to let me know that the room was ready. After waiting and waiting, I walked back to the registration hallway and spoke to a gentleman that was taking care of luggages and explained to him that I have been waiting for a bit for my room that was supposed to be ready (check in) at 3pm. He apologized for the delayed and offered us a free room upgrade. I figured that's the least they could do and got my keys and went up to the supposed "Upgraded room. When I opened the supposed upgraded room, I was disappointed and thought, "If this is an upgraded room, I cannot imagine what room I was going to originally get? The room was very time and lacked the amenities of basic items. The shampoo and conditioner bottles were big compared to other hotels but both bottles barely had shampoo or conditioner in them. The TV remote looked like a mini computer keyboard that was hard to know what its real purpose was. There was only one small coffee pod, that dispensed a small amount of coffee. There was no water in the room. Their website states checkin in at 3pm. I checked in a little after 4pm (go figures). The room assigned (421), was in near the back main road and you can hear traffic. Rooms are like dormitories rather than an upscale hotel. You can get a bigger room at motel 6. PRO-It's within walking distance to the Astros stadium!

Worst vacation stay ever!!! no a/c, wrong room, dirty rooms, small hallways and resembles a budget suites. I arrived and was given the wrong room, then moved to a room with no ac, on top of the issues below (pictures) when I finally got someone to address the a/c not working I was told " I can give the first room we gave you", which was the size of a matchbox, and the wrong room. Not worth going into detail just save your money if you are on vacation. Not anything you want to stay at while on vacation. If you are a young college kid without a place to stay and no expectations this is your stop.

Looking at the hotel from outside, you would've thought that it's luxury, but definitely wrong about that. The lobby was ok, I booked a queen size room and it was very small, thank goodness was only there for a night. My bathroom had some molding and for some reason the carpet was soaked by the bathroom. I would say the staff was friendly and I made a special request to have pictures of Keanu reeves in my room and they delivered lol, thought that was awesome! Also the hotel was conveniently located to the building I had to attend for an interview.

Not sure why the reviews are so bad here, I had an absolute great time! I stayed for two days to interview for a job while in town. The check in process was efficient, self check in and the staff was very nice and helpful. They've got coffee and tea in the lobby, they have a printer for your business printing needs. They have a restaurant downstairs and food is amazing ordering room service is a must because they were also super nice. The bathroom had ample counter space so I was really happy about that. I want to stress how nice the staff was because most times when you go to a hotel people are serious or look dead inside but everyone here had great energy very helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay here again when I come to Houston

I stayed at CQ hotel the weekend of a conference in April. The check in process was seamless and the customer service was top tier throughout my whole stay. The lobby was beautifully decorated. Unfortunately, the small rooms left much to be desired. My original room had the following issues: *Shower handle broke off was not affixed and came off in my hand *The water pressure was almost non existent *Everytime someone flushed in a nearby room, it sounds like rushing water and it lasted for a long time. It woke me up during the night and never let up! And that makes sense because *My own toilet ran after flushing and didn't stop unless you open the tank and jiggle the handle inside. *I also can tell they don't dust well. The bed was very comfortable and the overall room was quiet. I told the front desk about these issues my second night and they promptly upgraded me to new room. It was much better and had a great view. Still had some mold issues though. Also, there is no bathroom on the lobby floor and in order to get to one you have to take the stairs, which doesn't work if you're alone with a big suitcase. The location is great, near food falls, a convenience store, and transportation. Overall, the service and downstairs restaurant saved this hotel.

When I was booking my trip to Houston, fights with minimum of one connection was already over 800$, so was really surprised and elated to find a direct flight and hotel package for 700$. Since my last trip to LA with one connection of 1h45 minutes which turned out to be a 12 hour layover, I decided to opt for direct flight this time. And yes I checked the rating for this "dirt bag" of a hotel, 2.5 stars. Ugh, I rather that than get stranded at the airport for 1/2 a day or more. Besides been a maverick before. Sometimes when your expectations are so low, you may be pleasantly surprised. Hence the case for Club Quarters. For starters, it is centrally located in Downtown connected to all three Train lines. Not to mention surrounded by top notch eateries, dessert and coffee places. All either within a short walking distance or a small hop of train away. The metros are supremely convenient and affordable. From the IAH Airport, as a result of my inability to activate ride sharing apps, I was forced to choose public transit or taxi. A bus ride from IAH to downtown was 2.50$. It was comfortable, convenient and timely. Holy crap, this was insanely affordable. Took about 40 minutes. Intercity transit on the trains to the Museum District is only 1.50$ one way. Crazily convenient. Back to Club Quarters. The services were spectacular. Folks were really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy. The place also offered a complimentary coffee bar with snacks and fruits, while in the evening they also provided complimentary wines. The joint had a 24/7 fully stocked gym, an office station as well as a restaurant and bar. Club Quarters far exceeded my expectations. This was way more than what I expected which was a roach motel-like experience considering what I paid (which is practically nothing). Also note many of the previous reviews were before their renovation. Highly recommend it if you can get a package deal.

Luxury hotel. So obviously, they close the bathroom at 10:00 pm. No exceptions. Shit on the floor, peasants. You're lucky to be here.

Not once did we feel uneasy (and we live in the Houston area - did a staycation for my husband's birthday). A few years ago, it would be a different story. There are a few homeless in the general area, but they aren't disruptive. We stayed in room 705, complete with a city view. It was quiet and lovely. I wish the rooms had a full-size fridge and cooking area, but for downtown, the suites are just as big as a studio apartment. There's space-themed decor throughout the hotel. I found the valet pricing to be a bit steep, and unfortunately, I have reason to believe two pairs of sunglasses were stolen from my vehicle. (I realize they should have been put in my purse immediately after use, but it slipped my mind, and out of habit, I put them in the console.) Regardless, it's frustrating. It also took 10-15 minutes for valet to pull our car around, so that's something to keep in mind. The evening reception was nice, especially with the two drinks/person/night. We had chips and queso, though they had a few other offerings. Make sure you get the card at the front desk. The front desk staff will also try to sell you on destinations for a cheap rate. I'm not sure when this became a thing, but instead of telling us about the evening reception and breakfast, they tried selling us on a stay in Chicago. I really just wanted to go to our room since I did everything on the app. We also found the breakfast to be worth every penny to stay in this hotel. I can't have gluten, and there isn't any GF bread. I had eggs, potatoes, grits, and coffee. There were cereal, fruit, yogurt, and waffle-making options as well. I appreciated the coffee bar having various syrups. The hotel was extremely accessible for those with disabilities/handicaps. We saw several people in wheelchairs or with assistance. Hearsay on the Green is inside the hotel, and the food is priced well for what you get (and it's excellent). If you DoorDash, the Dasher has to leave your food/items at the front desk. They are not permitted to go up to guest rooms. The rooftop pool and hot tub offer views of the city and Toyota Center (excellent people watching). Overall, I'd stay again (but I'd ensure I brought my cheap sunglasses and not my Maui Jims).

There was a lot of open space in addition to the king bed and the living room area. Even though it was February, it was actually quite warm and humid inside the room. We had recently experienced temperatures in the teens in Dallas, so being in a room with the temperature in the mid 70s, seemed unbearably hot. We had to find the A/C and turn the temperature down a few degrees. The hotel is located near the arts district where we were planning to spend our Saturday. The earliest we could checkin was 3pm, so we spent our day visiting the city and just left our luggage in the car. Checkin was super easy since we already had a reservation. Parking was included. The property has a fence around it, so the parking felt relatively secure. It was also well lit. The spots in the front were mostly taken, but you could drive around to the back of the building and easily find a space. The hotel has an elevator, but it is very slow. We used the stairs quite a bit, but found the elevator useful for carrying our bags upstairs. The view was limited and not very appealing, but the building only has about three floors. Amenities like a pool, gym, and laundry facility were also available at no added charge. The Wifi name and password were printed on the room key to make it easy to connect. Breakfast was included. The breakfast area had several tables. the meal is buffet style. They do have hot items like scrambled eggs, sausage, and breakfast tacos. You can make a waffle or toast bread or a bagel. Cold items like juice, yogurt, cereal are also an option. Two staff members were there making sure food was readily available and that things were kept clean. There were a few items that bothered me about this particular hotel. One, there was no TV reception in my room. I couldn't believe there weren't any channels, not even local channels! I was also annoyed that the bathroom sink was not draining properly. My husband had to play with it to get it to drain at all, and even then, it took a very long time for the water in the sink to empty after washing my hands or brushing my teeth. Lastly, the light switch at the entrance of the room only controlled the lighting in the entryway. I had to go around and turn on individual lights to feel like it wasn't so dark. These were minor inconveniences, but for the price, I would have expected these not to be an issue at all. The staff at the front desk were very pleasant and went out of their way to help me. On the day of our departure, my husband wasn't feeling well. They provided me with some bottled water as well as a Sprite to help his stomach. I was so touched by this offer. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. We both got a good night's sleep.

Basic information like parking ($20/night), amenities, and breakfast was not informed unless we asked. We were placed on the first floor, first room by the elevator, gym, and kitchen even though the hotel appeared half occupied at best. We could hear conversations by the elevator, and a strong bacon smell filled our room every morning, which was very unpleasant since I don't eat meat. The side door from the rear parking didn't work initially, forcing us to walk around the building in freezing weather. When reported, the same receptionist was dismissive, saying no one informed her. Despite the convenient location, this was quite an unpleasant stay and we will not return!

I would say the decor is very old fashion lounge with there being a mix of table with chairs or chairs paired with a couch. Our server seemed very nice but a bit new as she could not tell me if one of the teas was decaf right away. Also, I made a note that I could not have tuna but they took this as I could not have fish so they gave me two chicken salad sandwiches instead of the salmon even though I had stated on the phone salmon was fine. She also could not describe one of the desserts but overall she was very pleasant. The amuse bouche was - interesting ( a strawberry with cream cheese) I didn't hate or love it. I didn't think the cream cheese added anything tbh. We had one dessert on the table waiting for us before we said down - a English parfait that had a white chocolate mouse, cake, and fruit. I loved it although it was a bit strange to have dessert already sitting at your table before you got your sandwiches but I am a dessert first girl so didn't matter to me other than it was constantly calling my name. You don't get to choose your tea and the two tea options are both black which is a lot of caffeine. The sandwiches themselves come across as unassuming but they are great and very filling. Each one has a different bread which was cool. Although not a fan of cucumber, the bread was milky and so soft. All the sandwiches were fantastic. Honestly, I was so full from the tea and sandwiches, I took the desserts home. One big misstep in service was the server forgetting to serve the second tea. I had to ask for it and by the time we got it, we were tea'ed out. You are gifted a box of macarons at the end - we almost left ours but our server ran and got us in time. I definitely had a great time, there were small incidents that stopped it from being 5 stars. Paying 79 dollars for tea is a bit pricy so I would expect a bit more precision and maybe more choice in tea?
