It was everything we wanted it to be and more. They checked our tix at the door along with IDs. It's a large space inside, they have coat check for $4. They have a lot of beer options, cocktails, and even mocktails and NA drinks. I got an NA cider that had a blueberry lime flavor and it was super delish. The DJ... the GFX on screen... the music. Everything was a 10/10. The DJ looked like he was having the time of his life and his energy was so infectious. One of the best DJs I've seen, I even said I hope I can get a DJ like this for my wedding one day because he was so so so fun. The crowd was having such a good time and so many people were dressed with the 2000s theme. The GFX on screen added to the night with hilarious 2000s throwbacks like Paint and WordArt. Plenty of space inside, there's an upstairs with tables and the bar and downstairs has more of a dance floor. Definitely recommend planning a night out here, you'll have so much fun!

Overall, it is a fun space but I can't support a business that operates this way.

The venue is very old, I think it's over a hundred years old or something like that, and it shows but I think it adds character. The sound quality there is good for how old it is at least for metal shows. The venue is consistently oversold to the point where the last few shows I went to, I was watching from the entrance area. The smoking area is also way too small. It's always shoulder to shoulder there. The parking there is always a pain. There is street parking but you have to get there at least an hour early to find anything around the venue. Otherwise, you'll be paying an arm and a leg for paid lot parking. This isn't the fault of the venue itself though. I am sure I will be back at the Ogden Theatre and hopefully they make some changes to enhance the show experience.

This club is the worst one to go to. TO BEGIN, (i shouldn't have to write a paragraph to explain the bad experience) i went in on a friday w my brother, his gf, and some of my best friends were on the bottom floor having a good time. The music was terrible and we were shocked by how many security guards and bouncers there were just waiting for someone to do something slightly wrong. My best friend and I went into the bathroom because I had to fix my bra (what any other girl would do), we were in the bathroom for not even 2 minutes and then we heard this weird security guard pounding on the door. He was ACCUSING US OF DOING COCAINE?? Like excuse me we're not that trashy. He told us to empty our pockets and give him our IDs even though we had obvious Xs on our hands. My jeans were skin tight and there was clearly nothing in my pockets. He kept yelling at me to clean out my pockets, I told him my ID was with my brother because I had no where to put it, I told him I could go get it but he literally wouldn't let us talk. He threatened to call the cops for no apparent reason??? Fixing my bra? Yeah arrest me lmao. But anyway he said "I'm taking you to the back" as he had my best friends ID, so we couldn't jump back into the crowd (hahahah it was that ridiculous). He was pointing his fingers in our faces telling us he didn't want us to do anything stupid which we weren't once again. Then he told us to go home so we walked around front and waited for my brother and his girlfriend. By the way this guy wears a top hat and weird glasses and acts like he's hot shit so if you go steer clear of him. Don't go here unless you wanna get harassed and accused of nothing. read more

Never had a problem with Vynil before. Last night was not a good night. The obnoxious bouncer named Juan literally stole my ID. I just recently turned 21 & I'm still waiting on the dmv to send me my drivers license so I've been using my passport to go to clubs/bars. Anyways, walked up to him, handed him my passport, he looked down at it & he said he wasn't letting me in. Why? Well because I don't have "the same bone structure" compared to my passport. I argued about it obviously being me as well as spelling out my full name & yet he still confiscated it which is illegal to do. My passport isn't expired, isn't fake, isn't damaged, & he still had the audacity to steel it from me because of my "bone structure". Then to top it off he started gloating and showing off in front of the other bouncers speaking in Spanish talking crap about me just assuming that I'm "full on white & can't understand what he's saying because I don't know Spanish" his words not mine. First off you stole my ID for no legitimate reason which is illegal & now your being a racist. Awesome. I literally walked up to him like I can understand everything your saying Pendejo. If you are looking to be in a club full of immature children, this is the place to be. As someone who lived within rock chucking distance to The Church, I have a hard time figuring out why I should take an extra 5 minute walk to this place. Cover is too high, drinks are too expensive. First floor music is good for the most part, and sometimes really great when there is someone special in the booth. But, dancing is typically done in the grope-zone, overwhelming heat and ripe with sweat, smelling suspiciously of Cool Water. Second floor, is a bit better for atmosphere, but the music is usually lacking in anything I would be willing to bounce a leg to, let alone dance. Basement... well it is what it sounds like, a basement. Sound is better, and sometimes even the music, if that's some kind of saving grace. Really the only place I feel comfortable is the roof. This is definitely a place for the 18-25 crowd, so if you are over 25 (unless you're a cougar) I would recommend you move on to one of the other near by clubs. read more

Unless you've got a real good excuse as to why you would waste a portion of your weekend, I should hope to never see you here. This place would be a great starting point for a sociological group from Auraria campus or some nearby university that wanted to study the following: "The socio-economic effects of pretentious and stupid individuals infected with disease from nights of sleeping with random partners, on the greater metro Denver communities." Stick to match.com, please. Unless you're actually there for a good headliner or private event. Plus, the parking sucks. And their website is a nightmare for sensible graphic designers and sane web-surfers. More like "now you see it, now you don't", since the Flash script sucks worse than anything Microsoft's released in the past 15 years. read more

We recently visited Club Vinyl at 1:15 am and were assured by a staff member that we had 45 minutes before closing. We confirmed this twice and paid a $50 cover ($25 each). To our shock, the club closed just 15 minutes later at 1:30 am, well before the usual 2:00 am closing, with no prior notice. When we approached the manager for a refund, she was not only dismissive but condescending, accusing us of lying and refusing to take responsibility for her staff's misinformation. The "no refund" policy only added to the frustration, showing a lack of integrity in handling customer issues. Club Vinyl's poor communication and unprofessional handling of this situation left a bad impression. Be cautious if you plan to visit, as their policies and treatment of patrons can be disappointing. read more

Everything is super sketchy. All the people here are either 42 year old men in fedoras or wack 18 year olds acting drunk and tryna grind. Not only are the guys ugly, they also creepy!! They'll follow you around, no matter how obviously disgusted you are with them. Security guards don't really do anything but stand there for a facade of safety. The first floor plays the same song for hours on end, with occasional changes you think will he beat drops, but the beat never drops. Possibly a torture mechanism?? I don't know what happened to this club maybe it was after they changed the 18 and up rule to 21 and up but this club is not it at all! If you are under 30 or straight don't go to this place. Security are dickheads and think they are hot shit but just work a front door to a club going down the drain if be mad to. I had more fun at Joe Palookas in Thornton. I love the roof top patio and the main floor also has a great look to it. Many times it seems like the second floor is sort of an after thought. They really should put a little more thought into the entertainment and decor of the second floor as right now it is a little bland. The basement is only open on certain nights but it has a cool look to it as well. DJs and music vary depending on the night and whether or not it is a special event. read more

Horrible service. Bartender was rude and ignored us so we waited over 10 minutes for drinks. The staff was literally fighting with one of the patrons. It claims to be a 4 floor club but only 1 floor was open and it was all the way up 4 flights of stairs. Just a horrible waste of time and money (shots are $11). I love their rooftop patio and the fact that it is a multi level club with different styles of music on each floor. What really stood out to me was the music because they had such a seamless flow of music that had everyone on their feet having the best time ever. The DJ was situated in the back room and was spinning live. the backroom had fun murals including a colorful heart wall and a mural with bedazzled elements. The bar was packed with all ages and everyone seemed super friendly including the staff. I appreciated the concept of all the string lights dimly lit under the ceiling. I thought it was cool of them to have plenty of seating including community tables, booths, and standing room. It was packed without it feeling too crammed as it was still easy to maneuver. They had a coat rack which I thought was a nice touch.

Our friend took us to this place, and it is clear this would be a regular spot for us if we lived here. You enter from the northeast end of the building, go through security, and pay your entry fee (which I think was $15 on a Friday night). We wound through the main dance hall that had some dark, artsy vibe before going through the T-shaped hallway that revealed some private group rooms with red lighting, before a large birdcage space appeared before us that you enter through the other bar area -- which I didn't realize until I made it to the other bar area to see the doorway. I thought there was a lock with a large key that I was missing. But I digress. The Negronis were on point, and I enjoyed them outside as the weather was fine and not freezing or hot. The service was fast, but it wasn't packed yet at 10 PM local time, so maybe give it an hour or two; then it may be a different story. There are two bar areas for the record, with the first one by the entrance where you arrived. The Mockingbird is definitely a lot of fun to enjoy.
