Let's start off with the tacos, the dish I ate the most recently. These were divine and were dripping I'm flavors, the sticky sweet Korean barbeque pork wasn't chewy and provided the perfect Bute of succulent meat inside the white corn taco shells. The slaw was a perfect accent to the tacos with the right level of acidity and freshness. These tacos were top notch! Now, onto the salad which wasn't your basic bed of greens. The creamy homemade dressing was stellar with tangy notes of lemon and earthy Tahini. The crispy lightly breaded fried chicken strips made this salad a bona fide meal with the additions of salty parmesan and bacon it was a near perfect combination of flavors. The burger and the sandwich aren't as fresh in my memory but I remember one being a chicken parmesan and the burger being a barbeque bacon burger. Both weren't as unique as the other two when it came to flavor profiles but, they delivered comfort. And sometimes that's all food is supposed to do- not break boundaries but provide with a warm hug. Clustertruck is a solid choice, super fast and reliable sometimes, their prices are a little steep but, you're paying for convenience and you can usually find some stellar deals! This may be the fact that I mostly tend to gravitate towards the same order of BBQ Mac & Cheese every time, but it's just so darn good! I usually pair this up with a side of sidewinder fries and Cluster Sauce in order to cross the $12 mark to get free delivery. I saw billboards for ClusterTruck just about everywhere, so I knew it was a place we needed to go to. First off, I was confused because ClusterTruck's slogan is "Kansas City's First Delivery-Only Kitchen", but what does that mean? Is it a food truck that comes to your house? Or is it a restaurant that you can only pick things up from? Apparently, you order online, and a car comes to you with your food. We ordered, and they sent us a text telling us that a person would be there in ten minutes in a silver Ford Fusion. I was the chosen one to pick up the food and it was about 6:00 so I was in my pajamas. I was very worried that I would miss the car and they wouldn't give the food to me, but when I saw the car there was no doubt in my mind. Once we got the food, I was surprised to see that it was still warm even though it had to have gone from their restaurant/food truck to here. My dad got the Bulgogi Chicken + Broccoli which I tried and he and I both agreed that it tasted like they had just put soy sauce on everything. I got The Cuban and other than the fact that it was a bit smaller than I thought it was going to be, it tasted pretty decent. My mom on the other hand tried the BBQ Chicken Strips and they were incredible. If we go back, I'm definitely getting that! I really like the concept of ClusterTruck and I love the fun and variations of items on the menu. First time ordering, I got the taco salad w/o beans and added grilled chicken, it was pretty good. I do wish there was an option to add a double order of chicken. I also ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and I was not impressed it all. I hope the chef considers rolling the wrap up tighter, and securing with tool picks. It should also be cut in half, mine was more like a burrito, and it fell apart immediately. I'd also wish that the Buffalo chicken wrap had more offering to add, like red onions, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, and ranch. Tonight I order again and the traditional wings were great, the cheesecake was delicious. However the queso dip is incredibly bland and soupy. That's crazy. I ordered a salad and it came with chips & salsa. The lime dressing was so good. I love anything tart and super lime-y, so if you have similar taste buds, I recommend trying the southwest salad with chicken. You're paying for convenience, here. There's no other place that can provide a delivery time of 10-15 mins. Jimmy Johns is right next to my work and delivery takes 30-45 mins and the price point is just about the same. If I'm willing to overpay for a Jimmy Johns sandwich, I'd rather spend that money for my food to get delivered quicker. Hangry is generally not an option for me. read more

I've eaten from here twice and got the same thing. The Cuban sandwich. The first time it was a little burnt but I had to give it another try. Had it yesterday at work and it was really good, lean ham, good portion of pork, mustard seed adding A good flavor. My only two problems is the cheese is really small on there and wish there was an option to add cheese and extra Mayo is 25 cents each and if one of your coworkers get it before you it's not with the individual sandwiches. I gave ClusterTruck a second try today, and it'll likely be the last. I've ordered from ClusterTruck twice, once for a pepperoni pizza and once for brisket and potato salad. The pepperoni pizza was greasy and dry. The crust was thin, the toppings were stingy, and I would have much rather had any number of frozen pizzas from grocery stores than the one I received. Both figuratively and literally, the pizza fell flat and wasn't something I wanted to eat again. Today I ordered the brisket and potato salad hoping that last time had been an exception. I opened the brisket and smelled that delicious KC BBQ smell we all love so much--before taking a bite and being utterly disappointed. I have never eaten brisket nor potato salad which was so overwhelmingly flavorless. Furthermore, the sauce was aggressively sweet--a pet peeve of mine. I know a lot of people here like sweet sauces, but please include a spicy one as well, or at least let us choose between the two. On a slightly positive note, it was the only part of the meal that tasted like anything. In summary, I've had two pretty bad experiences with ClusterTruck. The food has been underwhelming both times and not worth even the heavily discounted prices you can get with some of the promo codes they run. I don't plan to order ClusterTruck again. Not to end on a negative, I do want to give the delivery drivers some credit. Delivery was fast and efficient, and the drivers I've had have been very professional. We tried the chicken caesar wrap, grilled chicken sandwich, buffalo wings, Memphis dry rub chicken tenders, their white queso and churros within the two orders!
