When I was there in November, I noticed that they had a cake that was quite cute. In addition to the cake, they also had a baking mix, where you could make the cake yourself. Maybe next year I will get that, but I didn't have time to make a cake. Cooper really enjoyed the already made birthday cake. He had a couple pieces on his birthday and then as a treat for a couple days later. When I visited Purely Pets in November, the owner tossed a bunch of samples in my bag. Cooper happened to love one of those samples. When I went in there this time, the owner was out sick and her mom was running the store for her. She unfortunately didn't know what I was talking about, but collected my contact information. A day later, the owner emailed my back with the pictures of the treats. Customer service is amazing at Purely Pets. I will continue to support this business and encourage others to purchase their pet supplies here. They have items for dogs, cats and tiny critters too.

I was really impressed with the service, which is ultimately why I'll be coming back again soon! I'm a relatively new cat owner so I usually spend a ton of time at the big box pet stores squinting at cans and trying to guess what my cats may like. But I had a completely better experience at Purely Pets because as soon as I walked in, I was greeted right away and asked if I needed help with anything. So I took her up on that and asked for advice on cat treats. I appreciate that she asked what my cats normally enjoy then made suggestions based off that. The way she was describing the different treats, I could tell she was very knowledgeable on all of them. I also got a few cans of wet cat food and was relieved they had them organized by texture (my cats won't eat puréed), and that they had signs beneath each that made reading the ingredients much easier than squinting at tiny cans. When I cashed out, she also gave me a few samples for my cats to try, including "Inaba irresistible Churu". I wasn't sure if my cats would like a treat like this, but they LOVED it! So now I'm definitely coming back to buy some more of these! Overall I would highly recommend stopping in to Purely Pets, especially if you're looking for recommendations on new food or treats.

I started going back to Fisher and Friends again recently. I…read moreused to take my pack of three there when Fisher the black Labrador used to be there to interview new dogs. It was a woman owned business back than and still is. Some things are still the same and somethings aren't. Fisher has crossed the "rainbow bridge" as they say and so have all three of my pack. The last one just last year. But I have another one who got caught in the covid isolation and lack of socialization and it was time to get her out to live her best life. Back in the day when you wanted to take your dog there you took them for an interview essentially. Fisher would spend time with your dog and they could judge your dogs temperament and see if your dog was going to get along with other dogs or had behavioral issues. They still do that and have even improved on the process by having an on line form that allows you to document all your dogs shots as well as any health issues or any issues they might need to know about your dog. When you schedule the interview, you go over the whole form as well as going over all the house rules. For example maintaining six foot distances from each parent coming or going from the lobby. Keeping your dog outside the door till a dog of a different size who may be in the lobby leaves to prevent any possible large dog small dog issues for example. Then they take your dog to see how their temperament is with other dogs. Just as they did before , they check to see if your dog is social or has some issues that may not make it possible for your dog go there. After that if your dog is accepted, you schedule your dogs days at Fisher. They also have an in house groomer so you can have your dog washed and groomed while it's there. The staff has always had a consistently friendly attitude and knows your dog by name and greets them enthusiastically and encouragingly. Which is very helpful for a shy dog to help them adjust. What I would love to see at Fisher to make them more current would be on line live video feed. It's always such fun to see your dog playing with their favorite dog friends or playing in the pool in the hot summer days.

It's small, but has a great assortment of exotics including frogs, lizards, snakes, and tarantulas. I didn't find what I was looking for today, but I talked a lot to the owner. He was very friendly and informative, and it was clear the store takes good care of the animals, which mostly come from local breeders. It was nice being able to easily see all the tarantulas and not worry about their health because they had appropriate housing. Plus they were labeled with both their scientific name and their common name, which is always helpful. Great shop. I'll be back.
