I went to the Fullerton location twice and twice i encountered discrimination by the manager. The manager (woman of a short statute, middle aged, short dark hair) I was not told her name is RACIST. I have an accent since i was not born in this country. During my first visit, the manager repeated my order and it was correct. When i approached the window and paid she handed me the wrong order claiming that is what i ordered. When I told her that is not the order she told me I can purchase another order. Clearly, there was no miscommunication since she repeated the order to me perfectly but decided to give me the wrong order. Sadly, I proceeded and paid yet for another purchase. Two week later I came for the second time and I ordered at this place (just a chicken sandwich) After I paid, she told me my order was not entered correctly in the computer therefore is not ready and told me to go park behind the restaurant and wait. I told her i will wait at the window because the person in from of me had no issue with his order yet for some reason now there is an issue with my order (just a sandwich). She became hostile and she started bringing the food orders to the cars parked in line behind me. She started yelling at me and said she is refunding me my money and that she will not serve me. All i did, was waiting for my food that should have been made before the other guest behind me were served. I did not want refund but she processed refund and yelled at me to leave. She appeared aggravated by my accent and was very hostile. The second visit at this restaurant proved that the manager was targeting me because of my accent. At first glance the meal looked scrawny, but the box is a good size and they give you a good amount of fries. Not to mention a slice of Texas toast with pickles. So let's get to the chicken. Being my first time, I wasn't sure what to order so I was going for the medium hot flavor. The cashier (maybe the owner) says their medium is pretty hot, so I go for the Classic which is supposed to be pretty spicy. So the chicken was good. Actually very tasty, perfectly spicy with a hint of sweetness. Not too greasy, at all. Chose the waffle fries and they had a different but good seasoning to them. The toast and pickles were a good compliment to the chicken, and that Clyde's sauce was actually very flavorful and worked well with the chicken. If you don't like pickles, make sure to tell them. The sauce comes in a little closable plastic container. The amount of sauce was good for two strips but not sure if it would work for three. Also not sure if they would charge for additional sauce. Anyways the 2-strip combo was $14 but I would say it's worth the try. The style is comparable to Raising Cane's, but the cool people would probably come here instead. Lol read more

For those that like "hot" chicken, you may enjoy Clyde's! Full disclosure, I am not a big fan of "hot" chicken to begin with so I was interested to see if Clyde's could change my mind. I ordered the skinny chicken sandwich which was a grilled chicken breast versus their original fried chicken breast. Instead of mild, I had the original heat which is pretty spicy (2 flame rating!) and a bit too salty. The main issue I had though was that the chicken was overcooked and dry. It was tough getting through the sandwich. The crinkle fries were passable. Clyde's seems to be a favorite with the local high school crowds that came in during the lunch hour. The flavor of the Clyde's Original was a bit too light for me (sweet with mild spice) so if you're a spicy person, try Hot as Cluck! The waffle fries were SOO crispy and good. We got in line at 7:20 in the drive through. We finally got to the speaker to put in our order and we swiped our card at 7:27 to order one box of chicken wings and one order of chicken tenders. We didn't get our food until 8:10. We waited almost one hour in the drive through to get 2 orders of food. We got in this drive through line expecting it to be a quick 10 minute thing, as most drive through are. Drive throughs are not supposed to take one hour. When we got to the window we waited almost 40 minutes to get the window lady's attention. We honked our horn to get her attention, we waved at her to her our attention she kept ignoring us. Eventually we had to call Clyde's to get her to answer the phone and come to the window so we could ask for an update on our order. This location needs to hire like 5 more employees especially for Saturday nights. This establishment did not offer us a refund or a gift card after we spent an hour in their drive though waiting for our food. We will never be back here. This is the fault of the owner and upper management for not scheduling enough employees to work on a Saturday night and also for not prioritizing customer satisfaction and wait times. Our food was fresh and delicious. The chicken tenders were full, tender, and flavorful and their sides were also tasty and well portioned. They were also generous with the sauces. The restaurant itself is clean with a nice atmosphere to enjoy your food in. It's smaller and cozy inside with a few spots to sit. There's also seating outside in front of and behind the restaurant. As far as the food, I got an original chicken sandwich combo the chicken sandwich was unremarkable. The chicken breast was not very big at all and I ordered coleslaw for my side. I hate to say, but that was the worst coleslaw I've ever had. There was absolutely no flavor at all. It was like eating shredded paper. The service was good.
