Clyde's has a very cute atmosphere with a kind of cozy, old lodge look to it. Truly enjoyed looking around. We opted to sit outside for dinner which was perfect because it was a nice and comfortable temperature outside. We started off with fried green tomatoes which were pretty good. For entrees, we ordered the crab cake with a corn mixture and potatoes and a shrimp pasta dish. These were just ok. Service wasn't the best either. After wine tasting in Leesburg, we arrived here for lunch. Parking is available in their private parking lot. The restaurant is large and the decor is unbelievably decorated throughout, but the carriage room is definitely my favorite dining room. Our friendly and knowledgeable waiter returned with our beverage order and I placed my order for a Walter's favorite sandwich. For my side I selected the ceasars salad. The pastrami was lean and served with slaw in the sammie, muenster, thousand island and served on marble rye. It was a delicious sammie. The menu here at Clydes is large and diverse - one of their standouts is the lump crab sammie which is all crab, no filler and is delicious. We live near this Clyde's but don't frequent it as much as the other similar places near our home. On a late afternoon, we decided to lunch here and coincidentally we had a nice heat gift card. Staff were super friendly, from seating(host) to service. I wish I knew the name of our fabulous server: so attentive and patient. Food and beverages(cocktails) were yummy. The $15 price point for their cocktails were a good value considering the size of the drinks. We opted for burgers and sandwiches. The pastrami on rye was one of the best I've had in a long time. I liked the coleslaw that was added as part of the sandwich but it did make the bread a bit soggy, no worries because I I haled the whole sandwich. I like how they offer a choice of salads or fries. The mini Caesar was such a treat: tasty for a mini. This location stands alone and has ample parking. I do love the small rooms for private seating. Last year we attended a wedding here: outdoor ceremony and inside reception in their back event space. This location is spot on for those memorable meals and events. read more

My fiancé and I ate lunch here yesterday as we are scoping out potential venues for our rehearsal dinner. It's very large restaurant with ample parking. When we walked in, I would say the front hostesses gave us a lukewarm greeting, but the lady that led us to our table was very pleasant. I'm not sure which room we were seated in, but you can tell there's a lot of history here. We both decided on salads. I got the maple glazed salmon salad with mixed greens, feta, and grapes while my fiancé got the grilled chicken salad with farro. We both loved our salad and we did receive complimentary bread with our order. The bread was soft and freshly baked with the butter melting right on it. Another great meal at Clyde's Willow Creek. We particularly like the crab cakes and salads. Service is always very good. The only negative is they started charging extra for a little dish of cocktail sauce. This is a very poor policy, particularly if the server does not inform when you ask for the extra sauce. The facility is beautiful, particularly when is is decorated for the Christmas season. They have several different dining rooms and bars, so it is nice to experience a different room for each visit. We are looking forward to going back when the high school choirs sing Christmas carols. read more

Food, service, atmosphere are excellent. Started our lunch with their cream of crab soup and their onion rings appetizers. No notes. The cream of crab was loaded with bits of crab, making it nice and lumpy. The soup had a sublime buttery lemon flavor. For mains, I had the cheeseburger sliders with a side of their mushroom gratin. The sliders were great and the mini buns were perfectly topped with salt flakes. I do have a note about the mushroom gratin. Make that into an appetizer-a take on cream of mushroom soup. We attended a wedding and wedding luncheon at this Clyde's location. My friend and his future wife planned an outdoor and indoor event. The outdoor pavilion was decorated very nice. The event chairs were comfortable. It was a nice day just a bit windy but the pavilion roof prevented the winds from ruining the decorations. Food and bar service for the reception was exceptional. My family is a long standing relationship with the Clyde's group in the DC area. Every restaurant in the group has exceptional quality. Willow Creek lives up to that integrity. It was Easter and they started us off with absolutely delicious Hot Cross Buns. The bakers in the Clyde's restaurants are known for their in-house baked goods. My sister had the standard Parmigiana Flounder. Always good. I had the Bacon cheeseburger with Blue Cheese perfectly medium. For dessert we split the Crème B. with lavender notes. Clyde's Willow Creek Farm is a gem. The vibe is historic and rustic, yet classy, and the place is huge - with many different indoor and outdoor dining areas. One of my favorite places to visit whenever I am in Loudoun County. My family enjoys dinners at Clyde's while sitting at a round wood table in a lovely, cozy wood paneled private room. I enjoyed the crab cakes and salted beet salad at my latest visit. Service was great. Everyone in my family loved the chocolate truffle cake. The only disappointment was that the patio was closed on our last visit as the hostess explained the weather was too cold, so I look forward to going back again when it's warmer to enjoy the beautiful large patio. read more

Clyde's Willow Creek Farm is pleasantly decorated in a horse and carriage theme. They have wonderful service with cheerful staff willing to recommend and provide ideas. The food, however, is just ok. I did not take pictures of everything we had, but rather of the items I liked. The French onion soup is pretty classic, I would have liked the onions to be a bit more caramelized. I also tried their chili which for some odd reason is on the sweet side and disappointing. Crab cakes were served with fries and coleslaw, which is fine, but the dish lacked any imagination or platting in a way that would allow it to be enticing to the view. Their cocktails were tasty, I had the cool hand luke, but it was very water down. If I could provide 3.5 stars, I would, however, I don't think it merited 4 stars. read more

After years of dining at Clyde's, we had our first negative experience. Our waiter seemed very aloof, but then he made a snide comment to my sister that really angered her. Overall, the service was marginal. We haven't experienced that before after many dinners at Clyde's, including after hosting my son's wedding rehearsal dinner there, after a lunch following my Mom's funeral, and after celebrating my 60th birthday. A group of us went for my granddaughters birthday . I ordered the Cod with a fancy French name. The cod was heavily breaded and overcooked. The fries were tasteless and the heads were not cooked. Basically it was fish and chios that I could have had better for 9ne third the price. The waiter was nice but someone else served the food and we had an automatic tip which I hate in upscale restaurants. The waiter shoukd have been sensitive to a birthday party as we talked about it in his presence. I did not finish my food and neither did anyone else. The bill was exorbitant. I finally made my way out to Clyde's Willow Creek, and it lived up to the hype. The restored farmhouse building felt so Virginia. I kinda felt like I was transported to Williamsburg or a historic Virginia town from the looks of this restaurant. The room we were seated in felt so cozy and elegant, and they even had the fireplace going. They don't have a dress code but I would definitely lean towards dressing up a bit at least. For dinner, I had the lamb stew which was really flavorful and the lamb was cooked very well. The mashed potatoes on top were buttery and nicely whipped. For dessert, I had the turtle cheesecake. I really enjoyed it but I wished the cheesecake itself had some turtle elements instead of it all being on top. read more

I booked this restaurant for two to celebrate my best friend's birthday. We went in July and the weather was lovely. The outdoor seating area is truly very impressive. The only complaint I would possibly have mosquitoes and that is completely out of their control so certainly plan to bring your bug spray if you have exposed skin in the summertime while you are dining here. It occurred to me that a restaurant with the name Clydes may belong to the Clydes conglomerate of restaurants. It certainly did not occur to me upon booking, but upon walking in the decor and styling is very similar. The menu at this location is more elevated than your standard Clydes in my opinion. I've been quite a few to include the one in Alexandria, which is also a little more upscale. One of the highlights of our meal included the jumbo lump king crab salad! The portion was very nice and the lumps were absolutely generous. my best friend and I really enjoyed our meal here and would highly recommended for any kind of special event! The fountain was absolutely stunning in the location is extremely well-maintained. Plenty of parking, but it does in fact fill up fast. Doing an updated review 9 -- wow, really? -- years later since my most recent one. I've been here many times since, probably 2-3x a year. Unfortunately, it's always very hit or miss. The food IS delicious, but there's always something off about every visit. The setting and vibe can't be beat, and the food is tasty -- good steak, amazing crab cakes, great fries, and wonderful shrimp pasta and salad on my most recent visit. Here's my issues though: - The server was WAY too chatty which made it awkward, he went on and on about how he was doing us a favor with all his recommendations and he wasn't even supposed to be serving because he usually does the bar and cigar lounge but he was stuck there for a wedding; his chattiness plus just absenteeism from the room meant he was very AWOL during our visit and barely came around so we had to wait a long time to order more food when we wanted it; we ended up skipping dessert and going elsewhere because we just didn't want to wait on him. - The dining room was SUPER COLD. We had to put our coats on to eat. - The soft drinks were FLAT. - The tinier and tinier portion sizes for the increased prices are just getting ridiculous. Food has amazing taste and quality, but everything is experiencing shrinkflation and inflation at the same time. - The table was STICKY. Like I had to pull hard on my glass and napkin to get them off the table. And the booth had crumbs all over it when we were seated. read more

I had high hopes. SMH. I've been to the other Clyde's in the area and this is so disappointing. Appetizer: I have a pic of the calamari. It was cooked well but too much goo on it and it was soggy. That was the last thing that came out in decent timing. Even our waiter said he wondered why our entrees took so long. Entrees: My husband's trout was good but was supposed to have the hollandaise on the side. It was poured all over the top. Heavy. My halibut was ok. But too much sauce. But I get it. It was dry. Dessert: we ordered the strawberry shortcake. I'm still waiting on it. Which was the last straw. And I had to give a negative review. They just tried to serve us a cheesecake. Don't come that often as we are not from ashburn. We were in the area and thought yes! Clyde's! Zachary the tender suggested this when I said I was leaning towards the Reuben. Zachary said, get the Walters Favorite! Come back and get the Reuben on St.. Patricks day for a discount! Also gave us free lunch cards! After eating there (at lunch at the bar) 5 times the 6th entree is free! The Walter's Favorite (walter being one of their first waiters) is a pastrami with coleslaw on pumpernickel. OMG!!! So good. Had a choice of fries, sweet tater fries or tater tots? Tots it is! Whoopsie, out of those. Fries were very good tho. Now if you are looking for dark woods, lots of windows and light; you're at the right place. We usually sit at the bar. The wood bar does have the "lip" on it so be careful. Lovely restaurant that is in an 1800s house (with newer additions). The decor is welcoming and the dark wood gives a warmth but not a dark or dingy vibe. Food was really good. Our team's Christmas Dinner this year, as our last 2024 get-together, wandered to Clydes. 1. They have Alligash - a brewery out of Portland, ME, and one of my favorites! 2. The server was super helpful with suggestions for shareables and specials. Our appetizers came out quickly and entrees perfectly timed. I had shrimp cocktail, which came with 3 jumbo shrimp, and shared zucchini chips, which were large, lightly battered and baked thick Slice zucchini with a delicious sauce. The deviled eggs were unique, with a dollop of guac, jalepeno slice and fried jalepeno topper. Not my favorite, but still good. I had the steak salad, minus bacon, subbing in the white balsamic dressing vs bleu cheese dressing. It was perfectly cooked and delicious. Portion size was just right. I have been going to this restaurant since it first opened and while the food is consistently good, the service has always been a problem. It is slow, inattentive, and without any commitment to customer experience. Last night was the absolute worst. At 8:45 with the restaurant 10% full, it took us 15 minutes to get seated, another 20 minutes to get a drink, and another 30 minutes to get our food. We were not offered bread until right before the food came even though people were clearly starving and our waitress was nowhere to be found throughout the whole experience. She never apologized for the slow service and then was completely confused by our attempt to pay with both credit cards and cash. It took 15 minutes to resolve the situation. I really don't think I'm coming back to this place until they decide to improve their service. read more

Currently waiting for a reservation that was supposed to be seated 20 mins ago. Restaurants need to not allow reservations for tables they don't have or they need to turn tables faster. Update: Food was very bland for the super expensive pricing. Would rather go to coopers hark. Was seated 40 mins after my reservation was supposed to be. Not sure what the point of a reservation is if I'm seated later than just normal walk ins. read more
