Martina was awesome and suggested wonderful dishes and drinks. The menu was super fun with chocolate flair. We ate outside and it was refreshing and fun! We look forward to returning again.

This is a pretty unique place located all the way in Leesburg, VA, as most of the menu sweet or savory emphasize some element of chocolate. Expensive but worthwhile splurge. I went here on a Friday dinner and reservations are fairly easy to get last minute. As I arrived on the earlier side, I was able to request specific seats, and they accommodated. I made a note in the reservations to sub the 3-course prix fixe menu dessert to the Conche Entremet, and they were able to for a $15 supplement, still cheaper than buying all the entrees a la carte for a solo diner. However, do note that even for a 3 course meal, it is a lot of food and I ended up only able to finish a quarter of the dessert. It may be better to order a la carte and share the dinner as a party of 2 or 3. I got the Conche caesar salad which had cocoa nibs. It otherwise tasted like a caesar salad but with a little bit of flair to it. I wished there were more cocoa nibs to savor the uniqueness of the dish. For main course, I had the braised short rib that was pretty solid - fairly tender beef and delicious accompaniments. It was hard to extract out the chocolate flavor here. For dessert, of course I got the Conche Entremet. It is a whole show and the dessert lights up the chocolate shell on fire and it melts to open up the actual dessert inside. I thoroughly enjoyed the show, the presentation, and the actual dessert, which is a cake with ice cream inside. I got the wine pairing and the wines, although not of the fanciest quality, pairs very well so they did a pretty good job with the pairing with the flavor profile. Service is good as water refills were present and each dish came out at a good cadence without feeling too rushed.

Always enjoy coming here. Great friendly service. My fave is short ribs companelle pasta which vines with generous amounts of braised short ribs, mushrooms and creamy mushroom sauce. A-la-carte sides such as rosemary truffle fries are also delicious... and then there are some real decadent chocolates for all palates. Ample free parking on streets and garages.

Absolutely delightful staff who greeted us enthusiastically at the door and kept a very positive experience throughout the entire meal. The food is very well thought out and executed, incorporating chocolate in every dish providing that amazing savory flavor that is so unique. The ambiance is great and although not large amount of seating inside it feels very intimate for each table. Each course was better than the next. What an amazing restaurant.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at The Conche in Leesburg, and wow....just wow! We absolutely loved it and will definitely be back to this gorgeous restaurant. The food was outstanding, and every detail from the presentation to the service was excellent. Everything was spot on....And the food is delicious! The staff were warm and personable, making it a truly perfect evening! I would have to say, I would pick Conche over Tuskies or Lightfoot.

Wonderful restaurant experience! The service was amazing and they were so helpful, the food was so fresh and it was unique yet delicious. The atmosphere is quiet and dim lit. Great place for a date night!

Have been here few times but never got a chance to write a review, I mainly come here to get my sweet-tooth fix. I love their dessert called Jivara. When I saw Souffle in the menu, I decided to make a trip. N it did not disappoint!!! This time I had the Salmon dish with came with Cannellini beans and an Apple salad with some sause. It was amazzzzing. It was one of the few dishes on the menu that didnt have any "sweet" ingredient in it - the way I prefer it. Not only was the Salmon cooked perfectly, each component of the dish worked so well together. I relished every bite. N then came the Soufflé. So pretty! N so yummy. It was really nice n delicate. It came with some sweet cream and choose vanilla ice cream. The other choices were chocolate or caramel. I thought vanilla will go well with chocolate Souffle n it did!! Hope they keep it on the re

As soon as you step foot in The Conche you are introduced to the concept. Look to the left and you see a tantalizing display of chocolates. Look to the right and you see a display with a conche machine demonstrating how their chocolate is processed. I can't tell you if a conche truly produces better chocolate, but the sweet side of the menu really gets the job the done. I'm a bit unsure about everything else. I almost visited this restaurant a month ago during the lunch hour and it was completely empty. It made me hesitate, and when I walked in the door for my eventual dining experience the tables were still sparsely populated. This did not translate to particularly attentive service. Our waiter, though very kind when he came to the table, seemed to have his attention split three ways between the front counter, the kitchen, and the tables. Perhaps this a necessity given the light lunch crowd. I ordered The Conche Burger, which was recommended to me by the waiter. It was a mixed experience. The burger patty itself was decadent: braised short rib, cooked a perfect medium rare, and it had a nice bite from the sharp Vermont cheddar. It was really quite good overall, but I couldn't help but wonder where the other flavors were. The one thin slice of tomato was doing no work. The chocolate BBQ sauce, one of the only things on the lunch menu that leans into the concept, was inperceptible. The burger could really use a leafy, bitter green to offset the fattiness. My daughter got parm crusted chicken strips with fries from the kids menu. It was solid and she loved it, but I wasn't the biggest fan of paying $14 for a kids meal with no drink. The chocolate though . . . First of all, I don't know if this is a regular happening at the restaurant, but our waiter brought us two chocolates flavored with Pomegranate on the house. All of the balance the burger might have been lacking was present in these bites. But the star of the entire show was clear: the Manjari. This was one of the 3-5 best desserts I have had all year. It's a chocolate mousse filled with vanilla crème Brûlée, dark chocolate brownie, and accompanied by salted caramel as well as salted caramel ice cream. On paper, it sounds like too much. It sounds overwhelming for someone who doesn't eat a lot of sweets anymore, and especially very little chocolate. Throw away the paper - every bite was near perfection. Even if you don't want the whole thing, that salted caramel ice cream was special in a way that I didn't expect. I still have a lot of questions about The Conche but I think it's fair to say that they are a chocolateria first. Looking at it through that lens, I can't go any lower than four stars.

We went there last night with 10 friends for my birthday. Service was slllloooowwwwww. Took three hours and we didn't even have apps. Our drinks took about 20 minutes. I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup - it was unremarkable and lukewarm. My friend ordered the ribeye and they didn't tell him until 30 min later that it was sold out. Our meal came out staggered leaving some folks waiting. The servers were kind and hovering but still ignored empty glasses. Thankfully I was surrounded by amazing friends so still had a great time.

The first time coming here all the food and drinks were perfection. The servers all really know how to keep a table happy and it was just great service the whole night. The second time around, the food was a bit underwhelming but drinks were just as great. I definitely suggest getting the cocktail flight (the fetish is my favorite). I also had a sparkling red wine which was delicious with dessert or dinner!

This is a 10 star place. Staff is very friendly, it felt like we were dining at a family event vs a restaurant. Carolina our server was amazing, Bishan (sp?) the manager was very attentive and approachable, the bartender Zuleica (sp?) made fantastic drinks. I recommend the espresso Negroni, not on the menu but ask Bishan for the Galileo Negroni, trust me. Next you have to try the burger, I knew at first bite it was by far the best burger I've ever tried. The bacon wrapped tenderloin was cooked to perfection, the short rib pasta was to die for. Overall a great experience. We will definitely be coming back for sure. The chocolate desserts were also amazing fyi. You just have to try this place....

We had a family birthday party (approximately 30 guests) here and the food and service were amazing. They were very helpful in the planning process and the day of the event everything was perfect. I had not dined there before but will definitely be back to try all the yummy looking food I saw being served!

This was easily one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time! Absolutely the perfect way to celebrate my birthday! From start to finish, everything was exceptional including the service, the atmosphere, and most importantly, the food. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and found a handwritten card with birthday messages at the table. It was such a thoughtful touch that instantly made the evening feel special. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable, taking the time to share the story behind the restaurant. We learned that many of their dishes are chocolate-inspired, which added a unique and playful twist to the menu. Although we hadn't selected a course meal when making our reservation, the staff was more than happy to accommodate us. We ended up choosing the chef's three-course menu, which they mentioned is one of their most popular offerings and it did not disappoint. For drinks, my husband went with an espresso martini while I opted for the wine pairing, which was perfectly curated to complement each dish. We were also treated to a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and again, I just really appreciate their service! For the first course, I had the Caesar salad, which was crisp, fresh, and full of flavor, while my husband enjoyed the calamari. Both were excellent, and the white wine paired beautifully with the salad. For our main course, we both chose the braised short ribs. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, it practically melted in my mouth. This dish was paired with a full-bodied California Cabernet, which ended up being my favorite wine of the evening. For the dessert, we ordered the Conche Entremet, as recommended. It featured a chocolate sphere that was set aflame tableside, and blue flames gently melting the chocolate to reveal a hidden cake inside. We truly enjoyed every moment of this dinner and can't wait to return for another special occasion!

If a place executes its vision at a high level and exceeds expectations for its lane, that is a 5 star experience to me. And this meal absolutely did that. We relocated to Northern Virginia a couple of years ago, so we have been exploring the dining scene here with fresh eyes. Since moving, we have visited The Wine Kitchen several times, and each visit has been consistently impressive. They are truly a gem in Leesburg. We went with the pasta tasting menu and it was an outstanding, technique driven progression that really showcased the kitchen's command of fresh pasta and sauce work. The pasta itself was the foundation of the experience, clearly house made, with impeccable texture across every course. Each shape was cooked to a true al dente, with that ideal balance of tenderness and bite that only comes from properly handled fresh dough. Nothing felt heavy or muddled, which is no small feat in a multi course pasta progression. The mushroom tortellini in brodo was beautifully restrained. The broth had deep umami from the mushroom parmesan base, yet remained clean and structured, allowing the delicate tortellini filling and chestnut mushrooms to shine. The truffled Alfredo could have easily gone overboard, but the richness was controlled, silky, properly emulsified, and well seasoned, with the truffle supporting rather than overwhelming the dish. The lobster ravioli was another technically strong plate. The pasta was thin and tender, the filling sweet and delicate, and the crab fat sauce added depth while the ginger Calabrian soffritto brought a subtle lift of heat and brightness that kept the dish from feeling too rich. The short rib rotolo delivered deep, slow cooked savoriness, balanced nicely by the ricotta and the earthy luxury of the truffle fonduta. What really made the dish stand out for me were the crispy edges on the pasta, which added a beautiful textural contrast to the tender filling. For dessert, we enjoyed the tasting menu dessert and also added the cornflake French toast. The French toast completely wowed us. Texturally, it was outstanding, crisp exterior, custardy interior, and that nostalgic cornflake crunch elevated into something refined. It had richness, sweetness, and contrast in all the right ways, and ended up being my favorite of the two desserts. Overall, this is how you do a pasta focused tasting menu with finesse, strong technique, thoughtful balance, and flavors that feel indulgent without becoming heavy. In its category, this was a 5 star experience for me, and I would absolutely come back.

We stopped in on a Friday morning and were pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was. We were seated immediately, which gave us a chance to take in the restaurant's charming farmhouse aesthetic. With its high ceilings and rustic décor, it feels like a modern take on an old country farmhouse that's warm and inviting without feeling overdone. As an unexpected bonus, we happened to visit during Restaurant Week, and the special was an incredible value. It included a Buff-Mosa, deviled eggs, and the Low Country Biscuit. My wife ordered the Southern Philly, so we ended up sampling a little of everything. The Buff-Mosa was a refreshing way to start the meal. Made with Blue Ridge Vodka, Cava, and strawberry-watermelon juice, it was light, crisp, and not overly sweet. The deviled eggs were topped with bacon jam, which added a nice savory touch. They had a bit more mustard and horseradish kick than I'm accustomed to, but they were still delicious and packed with flavor. The real star, though, was the Low Country Biscuit. It was absolutely enormous, stacked with perfectly fried chicken, chunky pimento cheese, and hot honey. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the combination of the rich pimento cheese with the sweet heat of the hot honey was outstanding. The honey added just enough spice to complement the sandwich without overpowering the other flavors. I also tried a bite of my wife's Southern Philly, and it was fantastic. It's a creative Southern spin on a classic Philly cheesesteak and one that's definitely worth ordering. Service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. One fun detail I really appreciated was that the check is presented inside a book, a small touch that fits perfectly with the restaurant's farmhouse theme. Between the outstanding biscuits, generous portions, creative menu, and excellent service, Buford's Biscuits delivered a fantastic breakfast experience. There are still plenty of menu items I'd love to try, so we'll definitely be back.
