The Main St guys know what they're doing and the prices are fair. The shop is always busy with many cars in the lot waiting for service. They are great in person but communication isn't their strength, we typically need to stop back to learn status of a repair. Still, it's super convenient to have a repair shop in Mackinaw City.

I called Skip's and spoke to Heidi, and she said they were very busy but would do their best to get us on the road. After Charlie towed us to Skips (and as a former mechanic was able to lead us to the alternator), Skips worked it in, managed to find an alternator for a 2011 Honda and fixed it so that we got back on the road by 5:30. I was considering what kind of disaster we were headed for but Skips saved us a lot of trouble so we could continue on our trip. I would use them all the time if they were in my hometown.

Pulled in, explained our issues, had a spare and needed it changed. They had other work, but two of their guys immediately came out, accessed the job and went right to work switching tires, tough job on a sprinter. 45 minutes later at a very fair price, we were on our way.
