The shop is always busy with many cars in the lot waiting for service. They are great in person but communication isn't their strength, we typically need to stop back to learn status of a repair. We called every shop in the area and no one had the time to even look at our car until we called Chad, the owner of Patriot Repairs. Chad said he would take a look at our car. Chad figured out that our battery was improperly installed and had to order a new battery for our car. He got us back on the road when no one even wanted to take a look at our car. Chad is a former Marine and he displayed every trait you would expect of our service members. I would recommend Chad and his shop to anyone in Michigan or visiting the area. Chad could have very easily taken advantage of our predicament. We had limited time and no idea what was wrong with our car. And our battery was less than a year old! We did not expect the battery to be the issue but the improper installation melted one of the terminals causing our car to fail on us. Thank you Chad and I wish you the best of luck in the future. Bill's Standard Auto Repair was already closed, but we parked in the lot, dropped our keys into the key drop-off box with a note, and then called the next morning. They told us that they could fix it by the end of the day and they did. They called us when it was finished and it worked like a charm. The cost was better than we were anticipating too. They're located next to an auto parts shop, so they're able to get pieces pretty quickly too. They were really nice in person and are only a few minutes outside of downtown Petoskey. I'd definitely recommend them!
