The theater chairs have been repaired and are very comfortable. In general the cleanliness is far below what I would expect- take a look at the men's room hand dryer in the picture. Would you get your hands near that? My wife said that the ladies room was the same and the toilet paper was gone. Only seat covers available for sanitation. My wife and I were really looking forward to a recent visit to CMX Cinemas Tyrone in St. Petersburg, as we are longtime patrons and seniors who come here often. Unfortunately, this experience was extremely disappointing. For over a month now, we have tried to use our CMX membership number to earn points during our visits, but each time we were told the system was down or that staff did not know how to use the new system. As loyal customers, those points matter to us and are part of why we continue choosing this theater. During this visit, the issues continued. When we went to purchase popcorn--another reason we enjoy coming to the movies--we were told the register was down due to an earlier outage. We were not able to make a purchase, which was frustrating. I asked to speak with a manager to better understand the situation. While I will admit I was upset, I remained focused on explaining the ongoing issues: no ability to collect points for weeks and now no way to purchase concessions. Rather than addressing these concerns professionally, the manager, who identified himself only as Ronnie, responded in a dismissive and disrespectful manner. When I asked if we could at least have a complimentary popcorn given the circumstances, he stated, "No. I gave enough comps to other customers today. I am not giving you popcorn." When I asked for his complete name, he refused to provide it. When I then asked to briefly use his pen, he loudly responded, "No, you can't use it! I do not like you, you are rude and you cannot use my pen. I have had enough of you and I have better things to do," before walking away. I was honestly shocked by the level of disrespect. Regardless of the situation, customers should be treated with courtesy and professionalism. What made it even more frustrating was seeing excess popcorn being bagged and discarded while we were unable to purchase any. We have always enjoyed coming to this theater, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I hope management takes these concerns seriously--both the ongoing technical issues and the way customers are treated--so that others do not have a similar experience. I would appreciate a response from the establishment regarding how these issues will be addressed. read more

The good: the seats are comfy and recline significantly. There was plenty of friendly and attentive staff. Popcorn was hot and fresh, beverages were cold. Movie viewing experience was enjoyable! The not so good: a number of things were in disrepair/out of order...one of the kiosks to redeem tickets purchased online, the frozen yogurt, a slushy machine, etc. Ticket prices are equal to other theaters, which given this is a more traditional "grab your concessions and then go into the theater" type of experience isn't great. Overall it feels like a notch down. The takeaway: this is a solid theater to catch a movie if you're in the area, but there are better options not far away. read more

But yesterday my experience was bad because when we checked in they said that the movie was not being played even though it said on the screen and the website that it was. They said it would update in 24 hours. They replaced the movie Hoppers with Michael the movie all about Michael Jackson. read more

This theater sucks ever since CMX took it over. I miss COBB. The kiosks don't work and didn't get any reward points for my purchase. I also spent nearly $40 on a "SuperTuesday" just for myself for a movie ticket, nachos, and an icee. The nachos now come with cheese on them that gets cold and you get cheese on your fingers every time you pick up a chip (or try to in a dark theater). The only thing this theater has going for it now is the comfy seats and location, baddies that it sucks! read more

"I had a terrible experience at CMX Tyrone Mall on Jan 1. I ordered honey wings that tasted completely wrong--staff later claimed it was 'butter,' which makes no sense for honey wings. When I asked for a remake, I overheard the kitchen staff mocking me and lying about how much I had eaten. Management was incredibly rude and dismissive when I tried to address the issue. To make matters worse, I emailed corporate the same day and didn't hear back for an entire month. Now, they are asking me for the same photos and info I sent weeks ago. They had literally like three kinds of candy to pick from with the rest of the shelves were empty. I had to sit through a two hour movie with no snacks because I didn't like the three they had. The frozen yogurt machine was down. The lights in the coolers were off. It looked half shut down. Then I went to use the restroom and the first 4 stalls I tried had not been flushed. This movie theater is SOO comfortable. My Mom and I came to see Elemental and really enjoyed our time here. They have great deals on tickets and concessions on Tuesdays. We ended up getting a good deal on small popcorn and a drink. The only minor issue we had was that we paid in cash and had to wait a while for some change, but this didn't ruin our experience. There were a lot of stalls in the bathroom which is always nice. The popcorn was tasty and the screen was perfect. I loved how big the seats were. You have the option to recline them if you want. They also come with a big tray table to put any food or items on. I'd highly recommend checking out this theater, especially on a Tuesday for great prices. read more

I recently bought a ticket to see "A Complete Unknown" There was an issue with my ticket reservation. Due to no fault of their own, my ticket was somehow not reserved for me although I had proof on my phone/bank information that I had bought it. I asked to see a manager and was forwarded to Ronnie. Not only did he resolve the ticket issue, he also gave me a pass for a free movie in the future. CMX Tyrone 10 is very fortunate to have Ronnie on their management team. Thank you Ronnie. We arrived at 130pm the young at the concession listed off more of what they didn't have compared to what they do have. I never been to a movie theater that didn't smell like popcorn until today. I not blaming the young man but I do question the management on what done before they opened. The showtime was the 2nd of the day. This theater had my wife and I removed for telling a couple who wouldn't stop talking to "shut the f-- up" after half an hour of asking them more politely. The couple had the nerve to report us for cursing at them and the manager somehow thought to remove us instead of them. I'll never go to this theater again and I would recommend you stay far away until they adopt a zero tolerance policy for talking and phone usage during movies, unless you'd rather hear Karen and Chad chat than the movie you paid way too much money to see. read more

The outside grounds are delorable and so in need of updating, mowing and cleaning of debris. The weeds are growing between sidewalk concrete, the shrubs are sadden to be so neglected and just totally SAD that we don't deserve in our area my attention to surrounding building. The good: it's close by. The bad: the staff is rude or non-existent. I go in, purchase the flimsy, confusing ticket stubs for two customers from the desk clerk. I try to utilize staff when I can to preserve jobs. I go to live cashiers in stores unless I'm pressed for time. The desk clerk was fine. But there was no ticket taker. No one at the entrance to look at my paper stub to tell me which way to go. I went to theatre 10, because that was the clear number on the stub. I missed my film. In confusing small type was 4, which was the theatre I was supposed to be at. I waited 50 minutes before realizing the mistake. I first went to the desk clerk after 15 mins after the show was to start but hadn't. He says he'd check into it. Fifty minutes later, after the previews, I realized I was in the wrong theatre. The same clerk gave me two tickets to the next showing but what a pain. Afterward the next showing the usher came in to clean the theater. I told her/him it was a good movie, to help the word of mouth. The usher never looked up or acknowledged me. The next time I go there I'm dropping my popcorn all over the floor. I got the Ranch ones and they were warm and tasty, and you can share the bowl with at least 3 people since it is HUGE Cons: The prices for the food is quite steep. I think for a kids hotdog and fries it was close to $10. This is general though across all movie theaters. I'd rather get a hot dog from a 7/11 given the price and simplicity of the hot dog. When this Theater was Cobb, it had the Best Food and Menu. The Mozzarella Sicks were excellent, the Prime Rib Steak sandwich was delicious. They had the Large Pretzels that many liked. Popcorn was very good. Last night we spent 40.00 for a Greasy Hot dog and a small Pizza that was awful. The Popcorn was subpar and nowhere near as good. Sad to see this New Menu that is awful when compared to before. Learned a lesson and will Never Buy anything at their concessions again!!! read more

Not sure who cleans this theater the night before or the morning of, but they need new training. Had a 11:45 am movie on it day off and the floor from entrance to bathroom was so sticky, my shoes were louder than the people talking. Every sink had a soap dispenser with NO soap and trust me, I tried all of them. The employees meeting the customers who are giving the business money are all distracted by their phones or friends. Over priced on most confessions, but that's classic for a movie theater. The food isn't half bad though and the seats are fairly new and very comfy! This is why it even gets 2 stars. Nobody wants to be there (except the cook who handed me my food with a pleasant attitude). I understand it's tough to keep employees for this kind of job, but hopefully something changes.
