First time I've came to this movie theater, I normally go to one by my home in Tarpon Springs, but the movie my son wanted to watch wasn't playing at my usual theater. This movie theater is located inside the countryside mall on the 2nd level, just make sure you park on the correct side of the mall, so you are able to save walking distance, IF you are just trying to catch a flick. Concessions are your typical concession prices, spirits are pricey, but it makes for a great experience. They have reclining chairs, with swivel tables to put your drinks, or snacks on, with PLENTY of space. We checked in online so there really isn't much interaction with staff, besides getting your ticket printed, concessions, then ticket verification. Movie theater is clean, well ventilated and sound and the lighting is nice and it isn't crowed for a 8:20pm show on a Sunday. All-In-All I prefer the movie theater by my home, but if I have to venture out for a particular movie, I will definitely come back here. read more

This place has really gone WAAAAYYY downhill in the last several months! Once we got our tickets and went back to the theatres, the stink was overwhelming. Smelt like dirty floors and carpeting. A visit by Rug Doctor would do this place wonders. This place really has me "Steemin' Mad" at dirt, alright!!!! Upon getting into the theatre where our show was playing: BLECH!!!! The leather seats are all getting visibly worn and ratty: particularly the headrests. Carpets weee filthy with popcorn, candy, trash and soda stains. Considering this was the first show of the day in here (12:10pm), I was totally appalled! I don't know who's in charge of this dump, but if I'm gonna pay $10+ just to see a movie, I expect a clean theatre. She doesn't want to deal with you. She should not be in customer relations or customer management of any sort she is definitely not a people person. The cleanliness of the place is a joke, everything is filthy. The bathroom reeks of urine.. that was in the women's so I can only image the men's.. theaters were filthy... seats disgusting. This is the second time it happens to me this year, first we couldn't purchase tickets online and now when wanting to purchase food their "system is down" so cash only. Employees laughing at the customers because their solution was for the customers to leave the theater and find an ATM to come back while the paying customers are missing their movie. I had to watch a movie that I didn't like much anyway, but that's not the point, through bars because the railings are too high. When you sit in the seats, the railing blocks the screen. I'm 5'3" and my friend is 5'7" and she saw the same thing I did and it doesn't matter where you sit in the auditorium, you have to look through the railing to watch the movie. I like the open concept, plus it being in the mall, very great location choice by whomever. The seats recline and you even have a little table that throws me back to my elementary school days. This theater used to be our favorite and we have been seeing movies there for over a decade. There has been a sharp decline in the past year or so however and the theater is now in terrible condition. The carpets in the hallways are badly stained, all the seat headrests are peeling and the bathrooms are disgusting. There was urine along the walls in several cubicles and the stench was overwhelming. The soap dispensers were not working and there were slimy puddles underneath the hand dryers. None of this is acceptable for a service establishment. We have also noticed that they often forget to fully turn down the lights during movies, sometimes they rectify this halfway through the movie, but often it goes un-noticed. Once the theater sound was left at half volume throughout the entire movie which made it hard to understand what was being said. We will not be returning after this last visit. read more

I just went to see Guardians of the Galaxy with a friend woohoo!! I like the reclining seats at this theater they are comfy and seem pretty new. The place was pretty clean and big screens were nice. We arrived a little early thinking that our movie was at 2pm but it was actually at 2:30pm. Wakada Forever... but not CMX... purchased a group of seats for my family and I of four and i left with a creek in my neck and a sore back from leaning to one side just to see the movie. The most uncomfortable experience i ever had and they couldn't move us because the theater was full. I don't think i will go back to this theater. The entire movie date for my family was ruined. Well... for me it was. Thanks CMX for the unforgettable experience. UPDATE: It has not even been a full day and Ken, the GM has already responded. He was very aware of the seats in mention and he has already taken steps to rectify the issue now and in the future for everyone so they can have an enjoyable experience within the establishment. I have never had such a quick response to a grievance. Great Job Ken. Really upsetting experience today. For the first time since the pandemic we wanted to see a movie in a theater. We came early so that we can eat in the attached mall prior to the movie which started at 5pm. We went to the cashier to purchase the tickets immediately before eating to ensure our seats. When we returned to enter the movie we noticed people in our seats, at which point we double checked our tickets and they were for the wrong time. We went back to the cashier who was not the same one and she returned with her manager. The manager showed no empathy didn't even apologize. The only acknowledgment she gave was the facts, we could either stay until 7pm or get a refund as our movie is now sold out. Lessons learned: always use the machines to buy tickets. And always check your receipts. I accept that I should of checked the receipt but there's no excuse for the lack of customer service from a manager. read more

Went here to see "A Haunting in Venice". Was a nice surprise because seems like other theaters around all need their seats recovered or replaced. Way too janky to spend over $30 for 2 tickets with seats literally crumbling under me. Anyway, this theater was very clean, pretty empty, and few people working. Movie was on time with no issues. Giving 3 stars because it was hot. Not warm, but stuffy and hot. I always like a cold, dark theater to watch a film. This was hot. Hubs and I were actually sweating in the faux leather seats. We asked if the temp could be dropped and we were told the thermostat was locked. Was nice to see a film here, but afraid to go back in case it's crazy hot again. read more

The staff members are nice. Problems: Rarely is there soap in the lady's restroom. Great sanitation practice. The app does not give points at the concession stand. A friend of mine signed up for passport but realized that when one signs up must pay for an entire year in advance...almost $200.00. When she realized this, she has tried to cancel and get her credit card refund. No calls to the company have resolved this issue and it's been a month. All movie tickets, for all ages, are $6.99* for any show, all day. Guy charged me over $19 for two seniors. When I questioned this and pointed to the TUESDAY SPECIAL sign... his response... This is a great family theater with reclining seats, various screening options, concessions and full bar. Views from the seats are mostly unobstructed, my only critique is that each recliner has its own swing-in table with cupholder: depending on what your fellow patrons place onto the table it can be visually distracting. Overall experience was pleasant and clean, but not 'over the top' impressive. Side Note: If you purchased tickets online you will have to print them at home or print them at the guest ticket counter. They do not scan them at the entry. They will politely ask you to turn around and go back to the guest ticket counter where the agent will scan your phone and give you a paper ticket. Went to see Beatlejuice Beatlejuice tonight. The staff were friendly and the lobby and snack area looked clean. However, when we went into the theater, many of the seats had their upholstery peeling off especially where you put your head. My husband got some napkins to put behind his head because the peeling upholstery was bothering his neck. The restrooms were dirty and smelled like piss and most of the soap dispensers did not work. The restroom floors were filthy and had garbage and pieces of paper towels and toilet paper on them. We got a popcorn and most of it was kernels and small scrap bottom pieces instead of fluffy popped kernels. Sad to say that this place really went down hill. read more

Here is my thoughts and experience. Bought tickets online and still had to stand in line to print tickets that no one checked anyway. Concession had long line for few minutes but then other associates jumped on registers and quickly helped. Seats are very comfortable recliners with a personal little table. We sat in back row but screen seemed to far, I would sit a row down next time. My main issue was the low volume of the movie, was not loud enough to cover the low talking of other people and their eating. read more

I love $5.00 Tuesdays! It's better to buy tickets at the theater than a third party app or online because even though it is $5.00, online they charge a convenience fee. They do have reserved seating which I like too! The seating is comfortable and they recline for even more comfort. Food and snacks are typical movie theaters prices. I love the churro bites! There's also a bar as well! What I liked most is the the theater doesn't get Alaska cold like other theaters. So... this is the newest theater in town. You would think it would be a showpiece. It's not. First, it is inside Westfield Countryside Mall. Parking is difficult almost anytime. Pick the wrong door and you could be in for quite a walk. The theaters themselves are not great either. The seats are not the new "recliner" type. They lean back, but only if you are constantly pushing back with your weight or your feet. It's basically a rocking chair. In the larger size theaters, the premium D-Box seats are at the best height. Half the theater (the front) is too low. The back half of seats behind the D-Box seats are good. But sitting behind the D-Box seats is distracting. They move, bounce and vibrate. I can't imagine actually sitting in one for a whole movie. Ugh. I have really come to like the idea of reserved seating in a movie theater. If you don't buy the premium D-Box seats -- no reserved seats here. The concession area has a lot of options--but no Coke My Way machines, which I strongly prefer. And the prices are astronomical -- I bought a not-so-large soda and a small bucket of popcorn for over $17. In short, this theater has NOTHING over the AMC Woodlands 20 which is just a mile or so away. I understand they are going to do some renovations here in the future. I hope they wipe the slate clean and start over. read more
