We have been struggling for so long with our gutters - every time it rained, water poured over the…read moregutters, flooded the ground next to the foundation of our house and made us very anxious. Constant cleaning of our gutters only helped for short periods of time but never resolved the issue. We tried the gutter covers but that didn't help either. Money and time were spent but the problem didn't go away until we decided to find professionals to get their opinion. We wanted to find a local company that had been in business for a long time with years of experience. This is when we found All State Gutters & Roofing and we are so happy we did! They proposed a great plan to resolve this issue, and we felt that they were honest and trustworthy. They worked quickly and efficiently but most importantly they did a fantastic job, and the quality is top tier. They had great communication, and I was even surprised at their follow-up after installing our new gutters. They even came back the next day to check on the gutters after a big thunderstorm with the crazy summer downpours. I highly recommend choosing this company for your gutters, you won't regret it!

In September, I hired them to tack shingles down on my roof. There was poor communication about when the work would be done. When the agreed upon day came, they did not show up. I called and emailed to confirm and Claudio said that the guys would be there at 9. It was already 10:30am at that point. I had to go to work and clearly requested via email that they not complete any work unless I was at home- I did not receive a response to this email and called to follow up. After hours of no communication, I was told that they would come another day. I was already frustrated at this point, but needed the work done. Finally, the day came and when Claudio showed up, he was by himself. I asked if he was going to complete the work by himself because the roof is pretty large. He told me that the guys had already come to do it on the first day (where I had to contact them and was told they'd be there at 9am). He was there for my payment. He insisted they came that day, but it isn't true. I was there myself and I think I would've known if someone was on my roof. Furthermore, even when I left to go to work, I have cameras on every side of the house. I was watching the surveillance and no one showed up. I paid him, because I don't believe in cheating people out of earned money, but after my insurance company came back to inspect them roof, it is clear that no work was done. Or was not done to completion (if I'm being generous). Stay away from this company. I've contacted them to have them come back and finish (or start) the work and have been met with voicemails and unanswered emails. I will be contacting the BBB, because this is unacceptable.

He went up on the roof, took pictures so we could see exactly what the problem was and gave us a quote. We had had water coming through the master bedroom ceiling and laundry mudroom area below. Rain was forecasted for the upcoming weekend and it was Thursday. They called later that day and said they'd be there 7:30 am- which they were. They rearranged their work schedule to do so. A crew of six worked non-stop to successfully complete the job in one day - everything was cleaned up afterwards. I can not comment on the price as we did no comparison but calculating the labor, materials, dumpster fee and professionalism from start to finish the job was worth every penny.

We accepted their recommendation and recently they completed the work. Today I removed our xmas decorations and found many scraps from the gutters. There were sharp pieces of metal in the garden, walkways and lawn. These pieces are sharp and dangerous. We have grandchildren that often play in the yard and these pieces could cause serious injury. I would not recommend NJ Gutter.

Edited review: I updated to add a few stars because the initial phone call was a good experience…read more Things started strong-I called to scheduled gutter cleaning, and they emailed a quote right away for cleaning and flushing of all gutters and leaders. I approved the estimate. After 4 weeks, I called them because I hadn't heard back about scheduling the job. They indicated that due to weather it would take awhile to get to my house. I do agree that the weather was difficult, and I understand the delay in scheduling the work. But when they finally came to complete the agreed-on gutter cleaning, the office called me to say that the job would cost about double what I was previously quoted. I did not interact with the service team that would do the work at my house. They did not come to my door. The office apologized for the misunderstanding about the price. It seems to me that there is something wrong in their estimating process if it takes 2 months to follow-up on an estimate and then they change their price at last minute. I did not use their service, so I can't comment on whether they can do a good job or not. But doubling the price at last minute (after they had 2 months to come out and change it earlier in this process) did leave me feeling like I didn't want to work with them. I was told by their office that they create estimates based on satellite image photos. When I spoke to the first person on the phone, she said that I have a lot of trees. I agreed. And I was fine with a reasonable price to clean the gutters. But then on the day I wrote this review, I was told that my house is bigger than described. I never described it. They looked at satellite images and came up with the price based on that. So at this point, I'm not sure where the breakdown in communication occurred but I feel letdown by the process. And there was no fixing it because from my point of view, they just changed their price when they got here and my option was to pay double or not get the job done, so I did not have the job done. I wish things had gone differently. I hope my experience is a one-off, but I do want to share that the estimating process feels confusing and disorganized from what it could be.
