She's super nice! I now take Tami's Dailey Interval class every Thursdays (or at least try to) at 9:45 and it's been amazing. Tami is very energetic and is always motivating everyone to push harder. The bonus is that it's only 45 minutes! This studio has a kids babysitting area so work out while your kids are entertained. Parking is available on the street - Just don't park in the 30 minutes zone and by the fire hydrant!

The classes are small-group, allowing for chats before and after the session. For students who are seeking even more customized lessons, Shana offers one-on-one sessions in person. In front of the class she stated that there was something wrong with me, and not the computer. I'm tech savvy, it was the archaic website. Simply put -- I was there for yoga, not to be berated. Central Street Yoga is not a place to practice yoga if the owner does not care about exercising kindness to those who support her business, or anyone for that matter. This attitude exemplifies everything yoga is not. Unless she's in a good mood or likes you, her mission below is not in practice. Kindness wins every time. Liz is by far my favorite yoga instructor. She's very technical and builds classes around posture…read morealignment, strengthening the muscle groups that maintain it, and increasing joint mobility. It's not a typical vinyasa flow class but that's why I love it. My body was way off kilter from years of sitting at a computer, playing collegiate sports, carrying around my kids, etc. and Liz has done more to re-balance my alignment than all my PT, chiropractors, massage therapy, etc combined. She does a good job modifying poses for beginners but it's every bit as challenging and intense as you want/make it. It's essentially preventative physical therapy for me and I can't recommend it enough. Also, Cydney the owner has done a great job with the studio. It's small, clean, and peaceful and a great place to take a class.

I recently returned for a 90 minute massage with Tony after 1 year since my last (and first…read moremassage). My first experience with Tony was awesome and unlike any other massage experience I've had! This visit exceeded my last one! The massage area is really cool and eclectic with every square inch covered with messages, chimes, lights, sounds that call in good energy into the space. It would be hard to imagine not feeling immediately calm in the space. We sat down to chat briefly before my service and I was invited to pull a tarot card and read about its meaning before we began. It resonated with my current situation. My actual massage experience was multi-faceted and multi-modal. Tony guided some parts with a guided meditation, and at some points assisted breath work for deeper releases. I honestly don't want to spill the beans with all of the special treats that come along in this massage experience so that other therapists aren't tempted to co-opt the approach! I think the benefit of Tony operating out of his own facility is that he can control how and what he offers in his service offerings without having to follow a cookie cutter approach for exactly the same thing for every customer!
