They hike prices every 3-6 months. I went from paying 52.00 to 75.00 dollars in a little over a year for a 5 X 5. Of course they use the excuse that they mail you letters which to me even if I got them it's a RIP OFF!!! I have just closed my account and found that West Coast Self Storage (83534 Dr Carreon BLVD) not to far away has indoor monitoring and temperature controlled units the same size for 52.00 dollars a month and they don't do price hikes. Isaiah is the worst customer service person I have ever met. The office sign said he was on property and would return. I called 3 times after I arrived at 4:12. BEWARE!!! RV were broken into and RV owners were not notified. The first break in was 2 weeks ago on 5/9/17 and nothing was immediately done to fix the security breach. Suspects are going over the gate from the park on the east side of the lot. No other tenants were notified of the vandalisms and thefts. RV were vandalized through the roofs, substantial damage and items taken. Then 4 RV's were once again broken into on 5/20/17 and nothing was done to fix the security breach. RV had electronics completely removed. Owner were not even informed about the break in until days later. Do not trust the 24 hour video security that they sell to you. The video only covers a certain areas of the lot and when the break-ins occurred at night, you can hardly see the suspect coming over the fence into the RV area. I was a tenant there since February 2017, time to immediately move out those suspects will be back guarantee it. I asked for corporate's information, I was told I wasn't allowed to have it and I could only deal with the Regional Supervisor Darrell Hood. No compensation. I was told they will address the issue tomorrow and have someone come out from San Diego to place more security wire above the fence near the park. Really? It took every single one of the RV's to be burglarized before you decided to do something about it? Disappointed in the unprofessionalism. I should have been informed on 5/6/17 there was a theft issue so I could have made the decision then before my RV got robbed! read more

just now I Got a small 4x4 unit and within the span of a few hours I decided that I did not need it, I was supposed to be refunded my $109 but due to poorly trained staff and a horrible company overall, that was not possible. And apparently a previous unit that I had thought was closed was not, I'm not surprised because the employee I thought I had closed it with was getting high at his desk. Don't come here, don't do business with these people go somewhere else unless you don't mind the lack of professionalism and you don't mind your money being stolen from you. I've been storing at this location for about six months now, so am confident they are deserving of this review. The office staff is friendly and helpful. The property is clean and well maintained. I've never had or seen any kind of security issue. Best of all there are very few hidden extra charges, as you're likely to see at other storage facilities. Straightforward and well run. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! I called to make a reservation as I had seen that on the internet it showed covered RV parking for $80/month. The lady on the phone confirmed the covered parking. On the phone they told me that I would have to pay a $20 administration fee on top of the $80. I had no problem with this. Once I got there the girl that was there had no idea how to use the computer to finalize my reservation. She was a very nice girl that told me she was training. However, there was no one there to train her. They left alone. She couldn't figure out the computer system so she called her supervisor to take her through it. Once she figured it out I was told that the admin. fee was actually $24 and an additional $30 for something that I wasn't to clear about.. I figured that since I had taken 2 hours out of my day to come this far I'll pay those extra fees. Once I drove over to the storage spot it turns out it wasn't covered! I thought maybe she had made a mistake since she was still under training. I walked back to the office and told the girl that the spot isn't covered and she said that they didn't have any covered RV storage spots. I told her that my reservation was confirmed for a covered spot and that the girl on the phone assured me that it would be covered. She said there was nothing she could do since she didn't have a covered spot. I told her to call her manager and to put her on the phone with me. The manager/supervisor told me that I must have misread the information and because I had done the reservation through a third party they weren't responsible, to which I replied "aren't you guys responsible for making sure that the third pasty information is up to date?". I told her that I wanted to be reimbursed immediately. The new girl at the counter told me that her supervisor would get back to me sometime next week to let me know when she would reimburse me. I had the new girl call her supervisor back again and this time it seems she got a hold of a different person who was able to reimburse me right away. They advertise one thing and once you get there they switch things on you. NOT a good way to do business. read more

When i rented to storage unit i bought a lock Gus said it was standard procedure but it was mine to keep. Now that i had to vacate the unit Gus said i was to turn in the lock with the keys. I thought i bought them? Gus actually wanted me to give him the locks i bought be cause he prorated the days i owed up untill.the day i vacated the unit. What kind of crap is that? If u buy a lock u should be able to do what ever u want with it. He said i wouldnt be needing it anyway. Well Mr Gus u are so right i dont need the lock.
