They will let you know if you aren't keeping up with your dental hygiene or need some work done to keep your mouth healthy. Second, I trust them. Some dentists, especially those working for large chains, try to upsell you with every visit. When Dr. Vanbenthuysen tells me I need a service, I never doubt it. Third, the office staff is friendly and efficient. Fourth, the hygienists are efficient and thorough. Fifth, finally, and most importantly, Dr. Vanbenthuysen. I had some invasive work done, and I received a call from the doctor later that evening asking me how it was going. WHO DOES THAT ANYMORE? My family were searching for a new dentist in the area and we found Island Dentistry. We could not…read morebe more happy with the staff and the dentists. The front desk is very welcoming, professional, and courteous. My teenage son was first seen for a cleaning and consultation for several extractions. The hygienist was amazing. I let her know my concerns and she was very understanding. She made sure that my son knew all of the consequences for not taking care of his teeth. She is amazing! I am terrible with names but I do believe her name was April. If I am wrong please forgive me. He later saw Dr. Scales for fillings and teeth extractions he had zero complications or complaints. His mind was at ease and he was told what was being done and what to expect every step of the way. As I waited in the waiting area they made sure to let me know how he was doing a couple times throughout the procedure. Afterwards, Again I am terrible with names, the young lady with beautiful red hair, was very thorough with the after care instructions I was confident in what needed to be done at home. I had a very small filling fall out and they were able to make an appointment for me quickly. Before my appointment I had a bigger filling fall out, they got me in and were able to assess the problem and do a temporary fix until my appointment and made sure I was not in pain over the weekend. I saw Dr. Moreno and he was amazing. His staff put my mind at ease, as I have a fear of the numbing shots. I did not even feel the shots or anything else during the entire procedure. They made my crown the same day, so I did not have to get a temporary crown and take more time off of work for another appointment to get the permanent crown. Again I am bad with names, this young lady is from Kentucky, and she made sure my crown was perfect. Her and Dr. Moreno made sure that all of my concerns and questions were addressed before I went home. The young ladies at the counter when you leave are great as well. They have always addressed any questions I had. I know there are some behind the scenes people whom I have never met but they answer the phone when I call and they are amazing. They always explain everything to me and make sure I completely understand before we hang up. As I stated earlier they made appointments for me very quickly when needed, even called me if there was a cancellation so I could be seen sooner. Sorry but not sorry for the long review enough cannot be said about this office. Thank you for all you do!

They used to be on top of everything and super friendly. Now with the new ownership and new staff environment def has changed in a negative way. Front desk lady is absolutely beyond rude. In addition to that my appointment was verified this morning at 7am via phone for today at 1 pm, arrive at the dental office at 1250 to be told that my appointment is the following day. Like get it together yall!!! Won't be back and am extremely disappointed!!!

Care provided is good…read more Administration, just the pits. Absolute worthless, near non existent. They took FOUR MONTHS to contact patients about dropping an entire LARGE medical insurance provider. Then, the call came under 14hrs BEFORE an appointment, that had been scheduled over six months in advance. Their excuse? "We have a lot of patients". It's, apparently, too hard to generate an email (I receive their updates) message to patients under that provider and let them know about that pesky detail. An electronic calendar too hard, too, a thing to use. Not the first (or tenth, for that matter) admin issue; I remained with them for over 3 years due to the quality of care, but seldom they were on the ball about paperwork. Also my favorite, the lip from admin personnel. Love that. Just a shame.

As many of us sat in the waiting room with the only distraction being brutal posters of the gum disease that would befall you if you didn't brush regularly, totally in denial of needing to see this man called "the Dentist". When the door eventually did creak open, inevitably a pale and shaken little person would bolt out, like a caged possum set free, the only shred of joy left in the day being their mission to deliver the summons to the next target on the Dental Nurse's hit-list. She would then turn her chilling gaze on you, quivering in the corner, and beckon you into the chair. It may be a product of my scarred and failing memory, but I'm sure I recall voices chanting "Dead man walking." And the only solace to be offered from the humorless nurse? A warped little voodoo doll made out of various bits of cotton that she would soon try to jam in your mouth and the chance to roll some liquid mercury around in your bare hands. If she didn't kill you today, she'd poison you later! All of those distant memories are behind us now that we have the latest technology and the funniest dentist on earth (we all know to humor him, it's less painful). Much to my surprise, All of staff are welcoming and friendly, and the office itself is attractive too, which makes for a nice atmosphere. The scene never changes from visit to visit, everyone know your name and gives you the kindest greeting and is adorn with a smile. Never have I ever thought there would be so much enjoyment in going in for a cleaning or a crown replacement. My family and this writer agree, with the practices and procedures of Dr Standish with his dentistry advancements in the field of 3-dimensional computer technology and implant material science have created a new era where sophisticated implant reconstructions can be pre-designed, pre-fabricated, and computer-guided. The receptionists work very hard to help with insurance payments and convenient scheduling. They are very friendly as is the hygienists and yes, even Dr. Standish.

All was good until I had a serious accident and thankfully wasn't killed...seriously. I had a voluminous amount of medical bills and procedures. I called Aiosa & Hoffman's office and explained what happened to me and asked for a ONE (1) month courtesy hold on the OrthBank payment due to all my own medical bills and would make a double payment the following month. They FLAT OUT said NO. They did not care and stated they do not make any payment arrangements but could cancel my sons Invisalign until I could pay the one months payment. Are you kidding me? I'm asking for a ONE month payment courtesy hold and you want to cancel the Invisalign!!! It is not like I ditch my bills, I pay them. So I called OrthoBank and they stated they could push the payment date out and make 2 payments the following month. I just found out OrthoBank was called by Aiosa & Hoffman and had them place a note in my account to NOT make any payment arrangements with me. I am in the position to make the double payment and just did. HOWEVER, this is a note that they do not care about a fellow humans health and will NOT work with you for even a ONE month's assistance so you don't stress about the bill. IN MY OPINION, DO NOT GO TO THIS ORTHODONTIST, IF GOD FORBID YOU HAVE ANY TYPE OF ISSUE BECAUSE THEY WON'T WORK WITH YOU FOR ONE MONTH AND DON'T CARE....THEY ONLY WANT MONEY.

They got him in before lunch and we had zero wait time in the office. Staff was extremely nice and understanding. They fixed his appliance and the doctor double checked the work just to make sure it was right. I can't express the how appreciative we are for saving our vacation. Thank you all again!
