After personally going to south Lakeland office to settle my bill, of which Christina Alvarez (office mngr) reversed $22 from final bill and gave me a statement with a zero balance, HQ reversed it and keeps sending me a bill for same $22. I have USMailed then everything but to no avail. They don't answer phone nor return calls. I'm tossing the bills and can only hope they give up and don't send me to collections for a mere $22 that they will NEVER get from me. read more

Worst experience we have ever had at a dentist office they tried to upsell so much then he made a mistake and did not file it when my insurance company and turned around and build me for it when I called the mistake and brought it to their attention they fixed it sent it into the insurance company and told me that when they pay that they would reimburse me the money that I came out of pocket with then they turned around and said Don't just hold the money And we would have a credit for future bills that might come up and I said no I want my money back after the insurance company pays fast forward 2 weeks later The insurance company paid and then they changed their whole tune trying to explain to me on how other services were not covered by the insurance and they were not going to issue my refund the situation at escalated enough in the office so I chose to walk away but I will not recommend this place to anyone to me there are nothing but a bunch of crooks I had nothing against the dentist or the person to clean my teeth but the billing and trying to get through it on my phone was another nightmare a lot of times you might get bad service and this is the only second time in my life where I've ever left a review about any place but this dental office is very disappointing and I will not recommend them to anyone I was talking through my phone leaving this review and I could not go back and change some of the way it came out read more

Got an email from coast saying they were taking me to collections almost two years since last date of service. Cristina Alvarez the office manager at coast south was entirely unhelpful and rude during my call to find out what was going on and was unable to provide any information after nearly 30 minutes on the phone. Called a different office and was told that I in fact did not owe any money and that the balance was a mistake after spending most of my day chasing answers. Needless to say the office and billing staff here are entirely unhelpful, rude and incompetent, stay away. read more

This was by far the most horrible experience I have had at a dentist appointment. I had my appointment scheduled for more than a couple weeks and it was for my daughter and so they had plenty of time to get my in information and tell me anything about policy changes or anything going on. They had no problem texting me over six times like a stalker and reminding me of my appointment. I did call coast Dental and give them my insurance information and I thought everything was good and no one told me that I needed to do anything extra and I was all set. I never received paperwork prior to fill out and so I assumed I would do that in the office. so I showed up early for my appointment. I was greeted by a receptionist who looked like a hooker. she was wearing a cheetah pencil thin dress that showed everything and everything was coming out and she had tattoos showing and giant fake eyelashes. anyway, she tells me she needs my insurance information I told her I already spoken with someone. she said no one has spoken with you from coast dental. I said then who did I talk to then? she did not answer me. then she tells me that my daughter can't be seen because my husband is not assigned to the facility. I told her I am assigned and my daughter is and my insurance said you don't have to be all assigned to be seen. she then said its our policy so she can't be seen unless you assign him. i called my insurance while I was there and told them what was going on and asked them to double check. they told me that my husband doesn't have to be assigned he can go anywhere he wants and I and my daughter can go anywhere as long as we are assigned to the office we do not have to all be assigned to the same place. i tried to tell her this and she dismissed me and said it's our policy. I go outside to try to call my husband and the receptionist comes outside while I am on the phone trying to make a call says rudly interrupting .... are you going to do your appointment or not because we are waiting and your already past your time. I say to her I am trying to fix this mess you have me in. we were the only two people in the lobby they gave me my paperwork last minute and it was a lot and I had to call my insurance. and my husband excuse me if we have gone over our time. we are here aren't we. I was so mad I left and my daughter never was seen. I was shaking when I got to the car I did not know if I could drive home I was so upset. I have never been treated so horrible by a dentist company I will not recommend them to anyone policy or whatever I think they were lying I believe my insurance over them. read more

This is the WORST experience I've ever had at a dentist! I went in for dentures in Nov 2024 in at the Sebring, FL office, everything went well and ordered premium dentures. I paid IN FULL what Humana Insurance didn't cover. In Dec 2024 I received a call saying my dentures were ready. Tried them on and when I smiled, you couldn't even see them! Sent them back to the lab. Received a call on Jan 20, 2025 saying my dentures were in but they didn't have a dentist to fit them and I'd have to wait til they got one. I physically went in many times to check status and was told the dentist had an accident and they were looking for a replacement. The last time I went to check but when I got there, a sign on the door said PERMANENTLY CLOSED! Received a letter in May saying all my records were transferred to N. Lakeland, FL which is a 1 1/2 hr drive. I've been trying to call that office for over 2 months and NO ONE answers the phone but transfers me to a call center that says someone will call me back but no one ever does, but I have received SEVERAL texts saying I OWE $459!!! I paid IN FULL at the Sebring office back in NOV 2024 and have all the paperwork to prove it!! My insurance, Humana has been absolutely NO HELP in this matter! Told me to file a grievance that won't be answered until Sep 2025. COAST DENTAL is the most INCOMPETENT company I've ever encountered, and I may be changing my insurance also! read more

Do not go here. Even though my insurance is accepted at their office, it has been two months and they still have not submitted my claim to my insurance and are sending me emails and texts saying that I own $129 even though I already had to pay $86 while there because they said that was what the insurance wouldn't cover. They definitely seem to be committing some sort of fraud. I have called four times with no success. One time I got to a live person and she just said they would look into it but then I kept getting the notices of owing money. The other three times I have left messages and have not received a call back. Apparently the actual office that I went to is listed as permanently closed on their website now. Buyer beware! My husband and I came here and between the two of us spent $1,200 for deep cleaning the hygienist claimed we needed. The hygienist told me I had advanced gum disease. So I got the deep cleaning done and they said I'd have to come back every few months instead of just twice a year.... I went to a different dentist before doing the second "deep" cleaning and they told me I didn't have gum disease at all and my teeth and gums were fine. In a word - Dishonest! The dental tech was Amany. She said I had 6 & 7 mm pockets! I have never had anything like that in my life. There was no dentist on staff so I did a tele-conference. Its 2024, no covid, and they dont have an actual dentist. The video dentist recommended planing and scaling (over $500 out of pocket) The office manager, Stacy said "I could not get a cleaning" so I got a second opinion. Sure enough, my new dentist said she "could not find a pocket over 4mm". Coast Dental is dishonest and greedy. I would give ZERO STARS if it were possible. I wish I had read the reviews. I would avoid this location if at all possible. The staff is unprofessional. They were unresponsive to requests, minimized their errors, were extremely late to start my appointment with no communication, and they have shown to violate HIPPAA with myself and I their google reviews where they deny knowing patients with negative reviews. They confirm patients eith positive reviews. Providers are not to confirm or deny who their patients are. Most concerning is they said I had to do multiple appointments per insurance before getting a cleaning. The insurance company confirmed that is not required. The insurance company followed up and Stacy said I'm not a patient. read more

Coast dental is an awful place. Told me I needed a 1200 dollar under the gum cleaning and was told I had cavities. All this was untrue. Thank goodness I went to a real dentist. I moved away from Lakeland, Florida but just found out that the root scaling and planing procedures I had done at Coast Dental were unnecessary. I spent over $300 out-of-pocket to pay for the "deep cleaning" procedures on a gum line that I just found out was very healthy. This procedure was apparently never needed and yet I was asked to come back for continuous maintenance based on their gum line assessment. I do no recommend their services. read more

My experience has been HORRIBLE. The visit to get the crown mold made and temp crown places to one 4 hours. The dentist was inept and has horrific beadside manner. The temp crown was uneven and bothered my tounge but they didn't care and sent me on my way. Less then a week later the crown shattered. I came back to have the temp repaired and drove home. 15 min from leaving the dentist office to my front door. I walked into my house and the 2nd temp shattered. I called the office and the dental assistant laughed. This is not funny, not even a little. I am sitting b in the dentist chair and she can't get the new temp to fit. You would think the dentist would come in and check...but no way. As soon as this is done I am switching my entire family to anothe dentist. This office is a total joke. read more

So I typically go to the north Lakeland location but I ended up needing my molar extracted and I was sent the this location (south). So fast forward, they call me a few days earlier to confirm my appointment and asked if I wanted to do 10am instead of 10:30, which I agreed. I get there, sign in and Jennifer comes to the front telling me I'm early and my appointment is actually at 11. I'm like no my appointment is at 10, when did it get changed. She like it's been 11 since it was made. So I'm instantly annoyed but luckily another person in lobby spoke up and informed her she was speaking to the wrong person and it was actually her that is scheduled at 11. So okay moving on, I get to the back. I have to get another X-ray which was slightly annoying but whatever and then they take me in the room and start getting me set up for the extraction. Next thing I know , here comes Jennifer again like "don't do anything until we make sure her "sunbit" goes through." So she comes in and tells me I have to do the application for sunbit. I tell her I already did it and what happen at my last appointment. So she gets an attitude with me and I ask her why? Obviously she had nothing to say but it's like why do you work in any position that deals with people because her customer service skills were trash. Honestly it took everything in me not to walk out. So okay we do the application again and I have an alert on my credit report and it stopped the application process. Jennifer then says "omg" like I'm getting on her nerves. Like excuse me, how rude can one person be? Anyway I finally get the payment plan squared away and the doctor comes in and does the extraction. The doctor was awesome and honestly he saved the visit from being completely terrible. But Jennifer was terrible all around, unprofessional, and rude is an understatement. Everyone else was really nice tho. read more

Unfortunately, a bridge that I had put in 2008, had one of the anchor teeth break, therefore, I needed to have a new bridge. The expense was so much; and one never knows how they can afford this procedure. However, Iris and Jakleen both helped me sign up for Care Credit, so I could proceed to have the bridge replaced. Dr. Klaib and Iris did the work the same day as my cleaning. They both seemed very proficient at their tasks. Despite, the expense and pain, I feel this initial visit for my bridge was done very well. read more

If it's true one call was made, the office could have called again, texted(like they do for confirmations), or sent a letter. We didn't even get an apology!!! If I could give this a negative star I would. They tried to make me sign a cost analysis without showing me the cost. Who falls for that? When I asked to see the cost before I signed anything, the hygienist said "we can take care of that after the surgery", I refused to sign without the cost listed so she finally brought it out. They were going to charge me for 4 impacted wisdom teeth when I only have 3 normal wisdom teeth (the fourth wisdom tooth never developed). Impacted teeth cost twice what normal wisdom removal cost. They also charged me for a consultation that I had already had. read more

My experience was great! When i walked in , the receptionist greeted me and was really nice! It was a really comfortable environment and everyone makes you feel welcome. Dr. Klaib is very knowledgeable and explains everything as he is doing the work. He was also very patient and understanding, with me, as my jaw locks if its opened for to long, so he allowed me to rest during the process. Overall, great experience and will continue going there! read more
