My credit card was billed before I even had the cleaning done. What was confusing is that I have never been told by any previous dentist that I needed a periodontal cleaning. After my insurance was processed I learned that my expected out-of-pocket cost should have been around $350. This left me questioning why I was charged so much in advance and why the costs were not explained more clearly. My experience with the front desk employee, Mel, was also disappointing. I found her to be unprofessional and unhelpful when I tried to get clarification about the charges and insurance adjustments. I went in expecting to have a front tooth fixed, but instead left feeling pressured into additional treatment and frustrated by the billing process. Patients deserve clear explanations, transparency about costs, and professional customer service. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at this office.

He is not on all insurance plans. Six month cleanings run about $120. 5 stars in 2009 10/2017 UPDATE. Dr. Mundy retired May 2017. Dr. Slater has taken over his practice. He is a good dentist but less personable and little time with the patient. The prices have risen more than 20% this year. A cleaning is about $200. They don't accept all dental plans. Sometimes the six month cleanings are 8 months apart. I do like that they use email to confirm appointments and check-in. It is a quality place for cleaning, just can't rank it high for costs and insurance compatability.

His new place is a huge step up. Top of the line equipment. He has a partner now. He's just as good. There are a few emenities going there. Wi-Fi, blankets, drinks, and more. I've not seen any children there, so I think he's limited to adults. If you're looking for a dentist I'd say check him out.
