I was disappointed by some of the answers to my questions, so I recognize it was not an easy call for her - but it was her use of the word "honey", and it's accompanied tone of voice, that lost my business. I am finding every option to leave reviews so the dental practice management can address this. Had this not occurred, I would have made an appointment after grumbling a little about redoing x-rays and other administrative items - and I have $5-$10k of dental work that needs to be performed. She suggests a gel with xylitol and calcium glycerophosphate (Spry Moisturizing Mouth Gel) to help with remineralization. Previously, she recommended a toothpaste that didn't contain hydroxyapatite (Spry Toothpaste). Now she recommends Risewell Pro, which does contain hydroxyapatite. Hydroxyapatite can help with remineralization. Dr. Claire Stagg frequently attends continuing education workshops and is up-to-date with the latest treatment options. She sells different health care products from her office. Don't feel pressure to buy from her. You can research the suggested product yourself. If you decide to use the product she suggests you can go back to her office to purchase. I started to go to Dr. Claire Stagg because my husband was worried about my snoring. With treatment through Dr. Claire Stagg's office, my roof of mouth was expanded using ALF. The expansion not only provided room for my tongue, it also improved the drainage from my nose.

The reason I give 3 stars is because of the front desk. My biggest qualm was when I went to check out and was told repeatedly by the receptionist that I had multiple cavities that needed management. I informed her the dentist said I was set for 6 months for my routine care. The receptionist was condescending and insisted that was not correct. I requested my chart suspecting she was not in my file and she said it was not routine for them to give them to patients. She went to get the dentist to resolve the issue and found out she was in the wrong patient chart. She then giggled, apologized, and said yes 6 months was fine. Smh. My routine exam left me feeling anxious and upset unnecessarily. I miss the other receptionists who greeted me by name and said hello with a smile. It's true what they say, your staff will make or break you. I may revisit this review after a few more visits.
