The person said there were no appointments available that day but when I explained the situation she said to bring the glasses in they would figure out a way to fix them. I went in and sure enough they fixed the glasses (that I was sure were unfixable ). Not only that but they recommended a store to go to to pick up some things. The folks there were friendly and unbelievably helpful. Now the hassles part of the story I needed glasses in the next day because we were heading out to our next destination that was in Texas in the middle of nowhere. I called the "one hour" glasses place and they couldn't use my current lenses to make new glasses (state law) and I needed to get a prescription. I called my existing Opthamologist (his practice was recently bought out by a mega ophthalmologist company) and after multiple hassles and false starts they sent the prescription. I then called the "one hour" place and they said they couldn't use the prescription since it was over a year old (state law - who knew Mississippi the home of small government had so many laws). That is when I called Belk and they made everything good.

Never came back, after about 10 mins. hung up on me. I called back and talked to Bryan and my glasses couldn't be found. Bryan said he would call me back. He did not. I called the next day and was told they contacted the lab and they were backed up. They supposedly remade my lenses and would let me know when they came in. After about a week I was told to come get my glasses and turns out, they never even sent the lenses off at all. These are the same glasses, bifocal in the same place and I can't even use them at all. My part $250 down the drain.

After trying so many combinations, i decided just to continue to wear glasses but she never gave up. For the next few years on my visits I would ask het if there were any better ones. She would tell me no so I just stopped asking. This time Jasmine fitted me for my new glasses and she was just a breath of fresh air. She was so pleasent and helpful. She measured everything correctly. I have progressive bifocals and the measurement have to be correct or the glasses dont work at all. She was awesome. I go to Dr Jacobs every year and I'm going to have Jasmine fit my glasses next year as well. It is like a family atmosphere at the office and since they moved, the Lobby has a play area for the kids.

The reason I have to drive out to Ocean Springs is because I have a eye condition that requires a specialist. I have gone out to the Center for Eye Care now for three visits and the service keeps getting better and better. With four locations on the Coast you cant go wrong. But Lately I have been treated by Dr. Latch (****1/2 stars) and she is both knowledgeable and compassionate. The entire staff is great. Every time I walk in there I get very professional and personal service. Everything is explained to me and Dr. Latch takes time out to go over your chart and explain the graphs to you. She is always honest and will tell you plainly when she does not know something but will have the answer by your next visit. Living on the Coast I always had the misconception that finding excellent medical care would be a problem because of the location and presumed lack of amenities. But I have been wrong. Not only have I found competent doctors who are very well versed in the most modern of medical procedures and techniques, but I have found doctors who still treat the patient as unique and individual coupled with that Southern hospitality. You just can't go wrong.
