Our Lazyboy electric recliner suddenly stopped reclining. My wife needs the chair so she can sleep after her surgery. We explained what was going on and how critical the chair was for my wife to sleep. Since they could not reach the usual repairman. Sneaky business! My husband and I purchased a "lazy boy" sectional from this establishment with a warranty about 3 years ago. For the past 7 months we have been trying to get assistance with our couch. The cushions are deflated as well as the backing is drooping. The store told us to contact lazy boy and that they couldn't help... we reached out to lazy boy and after the run around for 4 months finally got thru to someone to find out the couch IS NOT a lazy boy! It's an "affliate" of lazy boy... the business owners LIED to us! We paid over $3,000 specifically because it was a lazy boy. It gets better... since this isn't a true lazy boy and we purchased it from this store- lazy boy won't send a technician out to see us, but gave us a number of an old technician that used to work there that was still in our area. He came out in January, charged a service fee of $40, and haven't heard from him since... we have tried the store again and they don't return our calls. BUYER BEWARE read more

After months of searching for new furniture, we decided to go with a La-Z-Boy sofa and recliner from Coast Home Furnishings. It was a pleasure working with Marvin. He was patient, helpful, professional, and knowledgeable and seemed genuinely concerned with making sure our selection would meet our needs. The furniture arrived on-schedule and was delivered by two very nice young men. Furniture shopping is not something I enjoy but Coast Home Furnishings made the process pleasant. Moved to Lompoc about 2 years ago and this is my go-to for furniture. The employees are very friendly and always helpful, I'm always greeted upon walking in and given the option to look through catalogues if I can't find a particular item already in-store. They have a wide variety of furniture selection and yes they do deliver! I love the fact that they try and work with you and gives great deals, works with your price range and to top it off, includes a military discount. I have purchased our bedroom set, guest bed, coffee table set, and our wine storage/entry table from here and I'm definitely looking forward to purchasing our dining table from here soon. Beware !!!! this store is run by LIARS !!! I cannot believe how dishonest the owner, Gina and the sales manager, Marvin Velasquez are. It all started when I called last week to inquire about a queen size mattress set. The owner told me they started at $399.00. My husband and I went in to look at the mattress on Saturday. When we walked in we were greeted by Marvin. I asked about the $399.00 bed and Marvin said they didn't have any. he then took us to the back of the store to show us a twin. (Yeah we didn't get it either) we started to leave but he stopped us to show us a queen bed that cost $450.00. BUT.... the delivery and disposal would be free to us. We said we would think about it and let him know. Buy Wed. I called to purchase the bed and charge it over the phone. Marvin passed the phone to Gina so she could take the charge. She started to break the charges down, and said the bed was $399.00 PLUS DELIVERY AND DISPOSL. When I protested I realized Marvin had lied and said the bed was $450.00 to make us think we were getting free delivery and disposal. when I told Gina what he was doing (conning the customer) she said it was a misunderstanding. So, I said since he offered free DELIVERY AND DISPOSIL would they honor their word? Her response was no. She would not admit he tried to con us. She would rather loose a sale over a $50.00 Lie/con. Great service from beginning to end. We came in looking for two dressers. My dresser I have had for over 30 years was falling apart. I went looking for another one that will last at least another 30 years which is why I went to a furniture store instead of IKEA or Costco. We decided to look at the local place before checking Santa Maria and sure happy we did. It saved us a lot of time. When we walked into Coast Home furnishings we were greeted by Marvin. He asked us what we were looking for and told us where to look for their selection. We then went over on our own to look at the available dressers. Marvin waited before approaching us and was not high pressure sales at all which I really appreciate. I hate when store sales people hover. Marvin did not, he saw we were close to a decision before he came to talk to us. We found two great dressers at a good price. Marvin made sure that we understood that the furniture took at least 4-5 weeks to come in and that we were OK with it before finishing the sale. Delivery was free but they charge $15 per item to remove the old furniture. Which was OK with us. We waited 4 1/2 weeks and called to check on the delivery. Gina took my number and said she would check and call me back. She called shortly after to let me know that the manufacturer said it shipped but that the person who would know when it would arrive was not there so she would call them again and call me back. She then called a couple days later and apologized for not getting back to me sooner. She then gave me an est. date it would be there. It arrived a few days earlier then that and Gina called me on Friday afternoon and they were able to deliver the furniture on Saturday Afternoon. The two delivery guys were very friendly and professional. They put the dressers exactly where I asked and were very careful around my other furniture and walls. I would highly recommend Coast Home Furnishings for their great customer service from beginning to end and will definitely check them first when I need new furniture in the future.
