So, I dropped my car off at Lithia for diagnostics. They weren't able to get to the car until the following Tuesday which was understandable because on the holiday. On Tuesday morning, I was given a quote from Lithia for $7,800 to fix my problem. I was charged $109 for the diagnostics. I explained to Lithia that I needed a second opinion due to the size of the estimate. I picked up my car and went straight to Babcock's Garage. They were so nice to me. I was treated with respect from moment one. My VW was completely repaired for........... $497.00. Need I say more? I would recommend this garage to anyone, especially VW owners. I could have gotten them done online at five different reliable places for $44-$50 dollars apiece. Was trying to help local businesses. The injector pump--they merely put in four o-rings and four brass washers from the outside. Said they did not work on these pumps. Did not even clean it externally. Charged for four hours of work--$450.00. I could have done the same thing in half an hour. Took it back and complained. He said, "We have to pay our help." Won't go there again, and I don't recommend them. Their pay is more important than honest work. The pump was not even bench tested. Now I have to find someone else to do the work.
