The sales rep from auto max seemed very nice and accommodating. He let us test drive the vehicle with him the first time. We were really interested in the car and so we asked to take it for another test drive on the highway some other day and he said that this would be fine. We inquired also if we could take it to an independent mechanic to have it looked over and he said that would fine as long as it was within 5km from auto max or the mechanic could go to the dealership. So thus far we felt good. We than took it for a drive and it drove fine and we were happy about the car and we were seriously thinking of making an offer that day. However, our concern was something fell on the car in 2015 and was fixed by ICBC by the previous owner. We understood the damage was to the top of car. Later we were told it was somewhere on the hood. However, thinking that the damage was to the top including the sun roof we thought there may perhaps be leaks. Therefore, we sprayed water on it and found it was dripping. Thus when we returned to the dealership and brought the issue up the sales rep appeared defensive. He said "There is no way there is a leak as it would show a stain on the roof" In actually, there was a couple spots; however, he wouldn't hear us out and said the sun roof must not of been closed when we tested it. We than asked him if he could test himself. The sales rep appeared to be more defensive and said quote "how much do you want to bet $100?" We felt that was very un-business like. We than said we don't bet and were there to buy a car. Than he and my brother-law went outside to the lot to do the water test, which resulted in just the same way. My brother-laws fingers were wet after only a few seconds. The sales rep said and quote "its just condensation. Do you know what condensation is?" My brother-law replied "of course I know the difference between condensation and a leak." Both me and my wife remained at all times calm while we felt the sales rep was dismissive, rude, and pushy. Its too bad we loved the car. When you read the bad reviews on here they may be true 'buyer beware'.

So you won't allow me my to spend my own $$ ($140 plus taxes) on a verified 3rd party source to verify the condition of a car before I spend over 15K all in on it ........... ummmmmmmmm SOMETHING FISHY ABOUT THAT. Concern Regarding Extended Warrant Refund In 2018, we…read morepurchased an Acura RDX from Lougheed Acura trusting in their strong reputation. At the time of purchase, we were encouraged to buy an extended warranty. Since the car was brand new, we believed it was a prudent decision and trusted that Acura would guide us in the right direction. We purchased the extended warranty for $2,800, understanding that $800 would be the actual cost and that if we did not use the coverage, we would receive a $2,000 refund after six years. The company you HIGHLY recommended held our money for six years without any interest payments. Unfortunately, because we did not submit a refund request within four months of the warranty's expiration, (we submitted at 5 1/2 months unaware of time frame)we were informed that we are no longer eligible to receive our reimbursement. We are extremely disappointed by this policy, which feels misleading and unfair. Yes, we didn't read the 6 page contract in mini font with the last few few lines saying we needed to apply for a refund within time frame. we trusted our sales re to be providing fair service. It is disheartening that a company we trusted would support an insurance provider that does not prioritize best practices. We have been loyal customers, however this experience has made us feel that your company does not truly stand behind its customers. We urge you to reconsider recommending this insurance provider in the future to prevent other customers from experiencing similar frustrations.

Also note pricing of its higher trims not that far off from an EV . Re: westminster toyota boyd st, newwestminster:…read more We ordered Camry Hybrid XLE in July 2022. We made deposit. Despite several calls, personal visits and emails. We never got our vehicle. the reason was we were buying cash not finance. Because they make more money from Finance than cash sale. Now today I got a letter (attached)from Toyota Canada Inc, saying there is a service recall for the 2023 Camry Hybrid XLE (VIN:4T1B21HK5PU020077). Means vehicle was received by the dealership but never delilvered to us. I was so frustrated and end up buying another vehicle. And very long time to refund our deposit. Talking to my lawyer tomorrow for this harrassment caused.

Misleading, unprofessional, and damaging - do NOT go here…read more I visited Westminster Toyota on Jan 15 for a Toyota Corolla Hybrid SE AWD. From the start, I was misled and stalled: Staff confirmed availability but never followed up. After a test drive and submitting all documents, my employment verification "failed", despite my HR confirming everything was correct. Repeated follow-ups led to conflicting updates, unavailable staff, and unnecessary pressure to buy a different car I didn't want. Finance managers were sarcastic and unprofessional, pushing me toward alternatives instead of respecting my choice. After 9 days of back-and-forth, I was finally told my loan was rejected by all banks, and their mishandling negatively affected my credit score. The dealership misled me on pricing and availability of the car, posting it online at a higher price immediately after I inquired. This was supposed to be my first car purchase, but their actions caused stress, confusion, and financial damage. I will be filing a consumer complaint. I cannot recommend Westminster Toyota - there is no transparency, honesty, or professionalism.
