I was getting a spray tan for a huge performance event (and she knew this) but the tan hardly made me look any different and when I asked about that she replied, "well maybe if you got the rapid, but you got the classic" (I was never met with options) I then asked if it would get any darker she was responded "usually yeah but probably not, because of the body wash you use" The spray tan was splotchy from the get-go. She didn't go over me twice. She definitely missed some spots. I wasn't even dry when she told me I was good to get dressed again. She didn't walk me through any tips on the do's and dont's of spray tans. I had to pull teeth to even figure out how long until I could shower. SO CLEARLY AN UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER, but was still met with disdain, like my opinion was nothing to her anyway. So bizarre. I've never had a job in my life where I cared this little about a customers opinion of my service. Especially since I'm pretty sure it's her own salon.

Laura came over the night before the wedding with her triangular pop-up tent and equipment. She was not only nice and made friendly conversation but she also sat me down for a professional chat about expectations, the process and aftercare. I expected that it would be done on the porch... but, in reality, the pop-up tent inside was effective and not messy at all. The color she suggested was nice but perhaps I should have given it a few more days in between rather than doing it the night before. The color can be strong when first applied so I found that my best color was after a couple of washings. Also, despite the fact that she told me to stay away from any kind of water for several hours ... things happen... so I accidentally had water drop on me after brushing my teeth and it was in a visible spot. I hated to bother her but she was very nice about it and rushed right over to do an emergency blending and luckily, it worked! All in all, it was a good experience. I was nice and bronzed for my sister's wedding and was able to go on my Caribbean holiday looking tan already. While I have many complaints, the main one is that I did not like my haircut, and even after I tried to ask the stylist to fix it, I was rushed out looking terrible. My haircut was 14 minutes with no wash/shampoo, no blow dry and no products. I was told that the cut would be dry because of my hair type. My hairstylist was Rita who said that my hair type is best cut with dry hair. I have never had that in the past, but I trusted her experience. However, I was very disappointed that she cut my hair so quickly and then didn't ask me if I liked it, I felt like she was pushing me out the door. I have long hair and asked for many layers, lots of layers that are visible and she did not give me that. I had her add more in and asked her to fix a few things 5/6 times, which she did, but with the attitude that I was bothering her. Her cuts are $75 dollars and that's an unfair price for the experience I got. My next complaint is partly due to the coronavirus but it still left a negative taste in my mouth. I called on Friday for an appointment and was told the salon was finally able to use the blow dryers, but to schedule early in the day because they sometimes ran out of sanitized brushes near the end of the day. I came in for my Saturday appointment and Rita told me that was not the case, no blowdrys. I told her that the receptionist told me differently, and her only response was "oh she knows". Therefore my hair looked extremely sad due to the lack of wash/blow dry and products. Overall, I felt very unwelcomed at this salon. I don't like my hair at all and I don't recommend Rita as a stylist.
