been here since I was a kid. I had no problem and nice people. I rather feed employement than machines so I go here. probably is not the easiest job so be respectful because they need to count and sort. decent amount of beverages and even couple CBD drinks and easy access to park. they sell propane and ice for summer and lottery tickets. read more

If you're looking for a pleasant experience, be sure that if you walk through the front door and there is the young lady who is wearing a bandanna, you immediately turn around and walk out. This individual is over the top rude, and clearly hates her job. Oh yeah, she hates people too. Don't try being nice, it'll get you no where. According to the grapevine, she's the owners pet and can do no wrong. Ironically today the owner was standing right next to her when she was acting disrespectful and did nothing. Inside, Coastal Discount provides a good selection of local and domestic beers and wines at decent prices. On top of their beverage selections, this is also a great place to bring your returnables. Living in Portland, finding a decent place to bring your returnables is nearly impossible, so I continue going to Coastal Discount. They are extremely prompt in getting you in and out as your bring your returnables, and they aim to accurately count your returnables. I know that some bottle redemption places kind of shortchange you a little bit, but this place took it to a whole new low level. I knew exactly how many bottles/cans I had (820). When they were done counting, they wrote the amount down on a piece of paper (that you bring inside to get your money). The guy wrote down 361. I mean, if he had written 778, or something close to that, it would have been ok. But 361......when it should have been 820? That's less than half!I was expecting to get about $40, and ended up with about $18. Of course, you have no recourse after that b/c they've tossed every one of your bottles/cans into the boxes. Will NEVER go there again! read more

Coastal Discount isn't much to look at, but the selection of beer and wine is terrific and the prices are really good. The woman behind the counter was friendly, but I asked her for a winning scratch ticket and she must have given me the wrong one. That was the biggest thing wrong with Coastal Discount. Coastal is definitely kind of a dungy place, but its what they offer that matters. It seems their redemption business is bumpin' and in the store they have a great selection of wine and beer at great prices. I hope they continue to offer reduced prices when they're trying to get rid of stock. The staff is friendly too. This place gets the job done. read more

not too many redemption centers count your empties for you anymore. the deli is good... hot sandwiches or cold. the beer selection is not the largest but he does have it narrowed down to the best of each style. if you can't find a beer in this store to make you happy then you won't find it anywhere. read more
