I've been to Sacred Profane on multiple occasions now and I am always blown away by the food here. There isn't one bad option on the menu. The smashburger is definitely my favorite item, it's the perfect burger. I usually go for a glass of wine here and all the options are great but I have tried a cocktail before. It was the Pink Pony Club which is fruity and has tequila. not my favorite but wasn't too bad. I love the space a lot too. Sitting outside on the patio in the summer is perfect on a nice day. The only reason I can't give this review 5 stars is due to the service. Everyone here is so nice and welcoming so that is not the problem. I have just always had a problem with waiting to have my order taken or the slowness of actually receiving the food and drinks. I noticed the last time I went that people who came in about 5-10 minutes after us got helped before anyone came over to our table. Once our order finally got taken the drinks took another 10 minutes to come out and all we got was a bottle of wine for the table. I am not sure why a bottle of wine would take 10 minutes. I will still continue to love this place for outstanding food and atmosphere but would love to see a better dynamic when it comes to service.

** This review is for the event space upstairs** I went to a networking event in the event space upstairs and was very happy with the set up. Lots of space to sit and some comfy couch areas as well. I didn't try any food but it looks like they have some great options. The downstairs has a large bar and garage doors that open up to the outside. The whole inside gets lots of sun and is super pretty. I will be back to try it at a non event.

Haven't been here in about a year, but what great improvements already. They now have an extensive food menu, a broader cocktail menu, and most importantly and extremely comfortable covered patio. We were extremely excited to sit under the new umbrellas and in the suspended chairs. And of course, the beer is so great. Cool spot.

Truly a hidden gem! Sacred Profane nails the trifecta of great beer, amazing food, and kind staff. It's the only spot in the U.S. doing tank-pour lagers, where the beer is suspended from tanks and flows with gravity directly to the luger tap. They serve two types of lager beer AND have an extensive cocktail, wine and shandy list. The lobster roll with smoked trout roe, pierogis, and grilled cauliflower easily count among the best bar food we've ever had. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to accommodate my weird allergy. The vibes are awesome and chill. 10/10 recommend. Pro Tips - Ask about the tank pour setup--it's worth learning about - Plenty of parking in front - Don't miss the lobster roll - Lots of seating inside, outside and upstairs!

Server greeted us with a friendly welcome and seated us right away. Our server came over and asked if we have ever been here before. We explained this was our first time and she went through the history of the brewery, the types of drinks we can order and the day's specials. My wife order her drink and a cauliflower steak with broccoli. I order their equivalent of a black and tan and pierogis with bratwurst. All were delicious. Beautiful open air dining and pleasant music playing. Czech inspired lagers and menu. We will be back.

Friendly staff, great beer, food, and community events... what's there not to love?! Every time I go to Sacred Profane, I love it more than the last time. They have perfected the art of Czech beer. Although they only have a light and a dark lager -- with a few variations of each, by adding more foam, mixing them, etc -- they really have mastered these two beers. Less is more at Sacred Profane, and you can tell the team behind the magic has focused on quality over quantity. The venue itself is one of my favorites. It's cozy and welcoming, with outdoor seating during the warmer months. The staff is always so amicable and helpful. If you're a beer drinker, you have to visit Sacred Profane. I can't wait for the Portland location!

Such a cool brewery in Biddeford. We were at a nearby brewery, Lucky Pigeon and the staff recommended we stop here and try their beer and get a Allen's and milk. We walked over and absolutely loved the great vibe at this welcoming industrial brewery. A few large communal tables inside, seating outside with open garage doors... beautiful day with a warm breeze to complement the cold beer. Shiny copper lukr tabs hanging above the bar for their two beers, pale and a dark larger. I started with their pale larger, full mug with three fingers of foam... so delicious and rich with flavor. Tried their Allen's and milk... dark foam and a shot of ACB... wow a mug of pure joy. These lovely people know exactly what they are doing! Staff was so cool and welcoming, their motto is cold larger and warm hearts and it fits perfectly! Love their values and their beer. Brewer Brienne was so nice and talked with us. Also enjoyed a shot ... great birthday celebration. I am such a fan of this place, that the following day we stopped back for more beer and a few cases to take back to NY. This is a must stop whenever we are in town!

I was in the area for work, and looking for a quick drink between meetings. I actually saw Sacred Profane on Instagram and was really excited to try it out! This little spot packs a big punch. Their beer selection is awesome (they are all seriously good) and I love the signature foam on each one. Don't sleep on their snacks - they are top notch! We tried the pimento cheese dip and fries and loved them both. The service was great, and the windows were open as it was a gorgeous day out. I can't wait to come back again next time I am in the area!

This place is absolutely adorable! It's going to be an awesome addition to the up and coming trendy Biddeford. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day and as we were seated we were told, the food outside is not the same as inside. We could only order snacks and nothing more. Very strange since the whole wall is open to the outside so it's basically the outside. Our waitress greeted us and asked our order, not offering any information about the restaurant or brewery or asking if we'd been there before. I asked for a quick rundown since I was from out of town and wanted to make sure we ordered the best locally made items. I'd recommend this place to anyone who asked, but I'd also recommend that they serve the entire menu to the entire restaurant.

Good vibes, average food, creamy beers. The crab Rangoons on special were off in flavor but the pimento dip was decent. The beers were dreamy and creamy goodness.

Pretzel with smoked gouda cheese dip and mustard.

They don't have a lot of beers but what they have the do very well. The Czech Pils and Dark are incredible and served the way they were meant to be. The pretzel was one of the best we ever had and the smoked gouda cheese dip was amazing.Highly recommend a stop of yours in the area

Cheryl and Dale, the owners, have a remarkable way of making you feel like family, their attention to detail is spot on, and are extremely responsive to questions. We had been planning our wedding for just under a year during the pandemic and although this was their first wedding season, you would've never known. My bridal party and I stayed the night before at the beautifully built bridal cottage, the hair and makeup team arrived and had plenty of space and lighting to set up in the air-conditioned cottage. The catering team and bartenders that we hired had plenty of space to set up and work, with a full bar and full-size refrigerator, sink for cleaning, and dedicated area for grilling and preparing. Our DJ was set up on the main level on the dance floor ensuring our guests had adequate space for proper celebration. Every question or request we had on the wedding day was answered and met, which was great because that meant we could relax with peace of mind knowing the ceremony site and barn would be ready! The venue itself is so incredibly maintained with acres of green grass, gorgeous hills (makes for excellent photos!), newly built bathrooms, and a brand-new fire pit/patio area, which our guests loved. If you're looking for a well-maintained, rustic style red barn to host your wedding at, look no further than This Old Barn.

We tried 5 times today leaving in the morning at 10am and asking both the person on duty Megan and the housekeeper herself to come. We asked both twice, and the housekeeper came after I'd told her 2pm at 1 when I was in a towel . The first time we requested, we got back 2plus hours later and still no one had come to clean. Megan never apologized when we asked why. She instead said she was busy doing laundry and that we needed to give a more specific time even though we had done just that. We had given a two hour window (10-noon) and then the second time when we left at 2 an 8.5 hr window. Unfortunately once again when we got back to the room at 10:30 pm, it still hadn't been cleaned. Another problem since we got here, despite telling them multiple times is the tv doesn't get a signal (that's the air message on the screen) and is unusable as it's not connected to their cable provider. Someone named Sean came to the room at around 1:30 pm saying he'd heard we had problems with the hotel. But he ended up saying if we're not happy with the room they'd reimburse one night but we'd need to get out by 3pm!!! It was 1:30 and we were about to leave for the reason we had traveled here from L.A. (a university graduation ). I was shocked at his inhospitable manner. I explained we were on our way out right then (I was at the door about to leave) heading to our daughter's university graduation and wouldn't be back until late that night so his suggestion was ridiculous. I tried to explain if his intention was to compensate us or apologize, he shouldn't be telling a 7 night-reserved guest to "get out" with a 1.5 hr ultimatum. This is highly improper hotel hospitality etiquette in my experience and he may have been the general manager himself, even more shocking. That part was also confusing. He handed me a card of the general mgr but implied he wasn't the same person as the card even though the card also had the name Shawn (last name Patel)??? It's 10:45 pm as I write this, and since we got back at 10:15 tonight there has been not a single person on duty. The same was true of last night. If there is an emergency in this hotel, there will be absolutely no one here to take care of anyone. When you call the phone number, it says unable to take a message, that is using the room phone and also calling the general manager's card number from my mobile phone which on the card is the same as the hotel general number on their room phone!! There is no one here at this hotel to take any kind of responsibility and no way to get in touch with anyone, unacceptable hotel management and highly suspicious as well. Also breakfast food stale and inedible except boxed cereal. It is difficult to even give this hotel one star due to the above, but it requires that I give one to leave this review otherwise I wouldn't.

Breakfast the next day was pretty standard and good (and free!). This hotel looks to be near a lot of hospitals and medical treatment centers, so it's convenient for that. The front desk staff forgot they had assigned us our room and had given keys to someone else. Luckily we were in the room, but I'm not sure what would have happened if we weren't there. Of course, we then had to get our keys reprogrammed. 2. Our room was missing its smoke detector.

This placed doesn't even deserve one star. Thankfully, boxed pizza saved the day. We hired them for our wedding a few years back to serve apps and a sit down dinner. As appetizers were passed, we noticed there were NO bacon wrapped scallops. Instead, Blue Elephant REPLACED this with some fig-thing! Apparently they were unable or simply forgot to get the scallops?? This last minute substitutions was made WITHOUT our knowledge and without ANY price adjustment/refund towards the bill, which of course they make you prepay in full. No satisfaction guarantee with this company. The plated dinner was such a disaster! The steak was so disgusting and poorly cooked, no one ate it and the brussel sprouts that accompanied it were completely inedible. How do you mess up brussel sprouts?! It was really upsetting to see all the thousands of dollars worth of food, be dumped into the trash. Some of our guests actually LEFT our wedding and brought back PIZZA!! So this is what you get when you spend thousands and hire people who claim to have 27 years of catering experience?? How embarrassing. Not to mention, you can expect a ridiculous delay in emails, expect to make numerous calls to get a hold of either Ruben or Fausto and prepare yourself for lots of confusion and unexpected menu changes without being notified or reimbursed. Hiring the BAD Elephant was a total waste of money and I would never recommend them to anybody!
