The food was what I call perfection. I ordered the steak and lobster tail. My meal didn't require any type of steak sauce or additional sauce because it didn't need anything added. The steak was so juicy and the lobster tail was excellent. Everyone in my party of eight ordered practically everything on the menu and everyone says everything was so good that they will definitely be coming back again. The customer service was impressive from the beginning to the end. Our server was named Abigail and she provided A1 service. She was knowledgeable, helpful, professional and proficient. The atmosphere was relaxing and elegant with a view like a piece of heaven. The pond view with the sun beaming against the water was beautiful. Went to celebrate my friend's birthday. We had a fun time catching up and chatting for many hours. Staff were very nice and checked on us often although we stayed a very long time. We did not order any appetizers though I was very tempted. I ordered the shrimp tacos which were very good. The shrimp was a good size and I ate both tacos. The fruit was fresh and sweet. This place is always very pleasant and clean when you enter. The tables inside and outside are very comfortable. We ate inside Friday at lunch. I want to dine outside on the patio to see the lake. Prices are fairly comparable to other fine dining places. Our waitress was very nice. I hope to return soon. read more

The food was just okay for me because I didn't really enjoy the scallop dish I ordered. I wasn't aware that the entrée would only include about four delectable scallops, and the side looked similar to avocado toast, which I wasn't expecting. I knew the dish contained avocado, but I didn't realize it would be served on top of a thick slice of toast. On the positive side, my husband thoroughly enjoyed his salmon entrée. I also had the wedge salad, which was delicious. I would have preferred ranch dressing instead of blue cheese, but I don't recall being asked which dressing I wanted. Even so, the salad and my drink were both outstanding. The service was top-tier--professional, attentive, and excellent in every way. The restaurant offers spectacular waterfront views, and I especially enjoyed watching the sunset and taking in the atmosphere. This is definitely an upscale establishment with a romantic ambiance, making it a great choice for date nights, entertaining out-of-town guests, or celebrating special occasions. Coastal Fish Company is always a great spot for a romantic night out or a great dinner experience. For starters, we had the NOLA oysters, and they are probably my favorite oysters in Memphis. I love the sauce, and you can definitely tell the oysters are fresh. Next, we had the steak and mashed potatoes -- the steak was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The lobster bisque was my starter, and it was honestly one of the best I've had in a while. The only small disappointment was the dessert , pineapple upside down cake. It seemed a little overcooked because it had a slightly burnt taste at the bottom. Overall, the service is always 10/10, and I'd give the food a solid 9/10. Wow, what an amazing time we had! From the arrival, to the hostess stand, our seating, and the wait staff. Everything went great! It's a beautiful place nestled in Shelby farms. The first question our waitress asked, was we celebrating anything? I told her we were actually celebrating our Thirty-Fourth Wedding Anniversary. While we were looking at the menus, she brought us a glass of champagne with a strawberry on top. And congratulated us on our anniversary. Her waitressing skills were impeccable. We wanted or waited for nothing the whole night! I haven't even gotten started on the food yet. I can honestly say every dish we got was amazing. It's so refreshing to have everything go right in a restaurant. There were so many great options on the menu. I had a problem figuring out what I wanted. So I just ordered way to many things......lol.... We started off with the Blackened Shrimp Brie Dip and the Sauted Blue Crab Claws. They were some of the best appetizers we've ever had. This includes restaurants near the ocean. I also got the classic half wedge salad. Usually a salad is nothing to write home about. I'm here to tell you that was the freshest, best tasting salad. I've ever had. For the main course, I got the Spicy Louisiana Red Fish. Whith Jambalaya, Andouille Sausage, Shrimp, Crawfish, In a Cajun Cream Sauce and my wife got the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes with Steamed Green Beands and Garlic Whipped Potatoes. Just to make it more difficult on myself. I also added the Jumbo Cocktail Shrimp on Half Shells. I know I sound like a broken record, but every dish was absolutely amazing. The food is so fresh and flavorful. They are a little on the expensive side. But trust me, you deserve it. You only live once! We finished up the evening with a Creme Brulee and a Piece of Dark Chocolate Covered Lime Pie. I think at this point it's very safe to say we were miserable. I highly recommend Coastal Fish Company! Had lunch reservations on Father's Day. We were seated a few minutes after arriving. Our waiter, David, was friendly and let us know that the kitchen was "taking longer than usual", so we were prepared to be patient. Presentation of our meals was nice but our food itself was disappointing. My special-of-the-day Flounder Sandwich was bland (under seasoned), and my partner's shrimp scampi sandwich had more bread than filling. The oddest part of the meal was the environment: it appeared that every employee was in a hurry and carrying something, such as multiple large bags of ice or gallons of water, from one end of the restaurant, through the guest tables to the other side. We had a table outside with a waterfront view and although it was chilly outside the heat lamps kept me nice and toasty. The professionalism of the staff here is A1 but our server Colby was arguably the best. He was personable, attentive and extremely knowledgeable of the menu. New Year's Eve had a special 4 course menu at $115 per person and everything I had was absolutely delicious. My meal plan included the rock shrimp pot pie, New England clam chowder, butter poached lobster tail and the key lime pie. I also had two Casamigos cocktails that I customized to my liking and enjoyed their complimentary champagne toast at the end of the meal. I came to Coastal Fish Company for a special occasion after wanting to try it for years, and honestly the experience was really disappointing--especially the service. Our server was barely attentive to our table. She went around checking on other tables near us, but hardly came to ours at all. The only time she really interacted with us was when she brought the check. No follow-up, no asking how the food was, no drink refills--nothing. It honestly felt like we were overlooked the entire time. To make things worse, she wasn't even the one who brought out our food. Someone else dropped it off, and after that we were basically on our own. For a restaurant at this price point, I expected much more attentive and professional service. The food didn't make up for it either. I ordered the Chilean sea bass, and it was very underwhelming. The fish lacked flavor, the potatoes were soggy, and overall it just wasn't enjoyable. I was really looking forward to dining here for my birthday. I've heard such good reviews. However, it looks nicer than it is. First off, our waitress was super sweet, but she seemed distracted every time she came to the table. Our seat was inside, but facing the window. So we got to see somewhat of the sunset as we dined. Our appetizers were just okay. Nothing to brag about. The lobster bisque was good, seemed to be a bit too salty. I was looking forward to the lobster ravioli. It's one of my favorites foods. However, they didn't have raviolis and said they were substituting it with Angel hair. I didn't think it could be that much different, but my goodness. That was the most bland meal I've had. I ended up taking it home and added the leftover blackened shrimp and Brie dip to it and it made it much better. My husband had the sea bass and it was okay. The dish wasn't worth the price thats for sure! I ordered dessert before they came out with my creme brulee birthday dessert. Which it was good, but I wish they had told me they were bringing that out before I ordered another one. The place all and all just wasn't worth the hype. More for a social gathering. read more

My Old Fashioned was perfect, and the crab oysters (I added shallots) were super yummy. Everyone at my table truly enjoyed their meals as well, and there wasn't a single disappointment in the bunch. Our party was large, the appetizer arrived fast. It was a chilly day but we were surrounded on all sides of the table by standalone top down heaters which kept us feeling amazing throughout the meal. The architecture of the building is remarkable. Every server was smiling, held doors, and were friendly. Our server, Hunter, was great, we didn't have an empty glass of water the entire 1.5 hours we were there. Staff, ambiance, cleanliness you name it from that perspective it's relatively 5 star. Unfortunately, the redfish was awful. So Mushy and musty. Sent back for the salmon and it was cook correctly. Waited a good bit for the salmon but we understood it's essentially a new food order. However, our experience we felt overall with the food lacked seasoning. We found it strange that some food items overly salted and then Brussels sprouts or asparagus nothing. I've eaten here a few times before and had a wonderful experience with the fish and flavors so not sure what happened but it wasn't a good experience. CFC is a wonderful restaurant with amazing service, food and views! The staff is very attentive and friendly, very service oriented, and they all work hard to please their customers, from the valet, hostesses, wait staff, bartenders and food runners. Craft cocktails are amazing and the quality of their food is exceptional. There is a large out door area, two dinning areas with an additional dinning area, with high top tables, in the bar section of the restaurant. AMBIANCE: This place is really nice. Great Ambiance with a beautiful view depending on where you're sitting as it overlooks the lake in Shelby farms. They also have heaters out there if there is anyone thinking about going there during the winter months. FOOD: I had the NOLA style oysters. They were nice, but I have to say... for the price... I didn't realize that it was going to be so little in meat portion lol. The clams definitely give the optical illusion haha. Would I buy them again... probably not given that ingredients are pretty straightforward and again... the oysters were pretty...small. If you are expecting something filling from the oyster portion of the menu, you may want to get something that has more added to the oyster itself like crab meat. I also had the jumbo lump crab cakes. This was pretty good. It came with a creme brulee (probably messed the spelling up on that one... ah well) style sweet corn side and string beans. The string beans are lightly cooked and well seasoned. The crab cakes met expectations for sure. I also had the Honey Badger beverage. It was really good. You get the hint of citrus from the lemongrass and it almost has a slight dill after taste to the palete but overall, I enjoyed the beverage. I had two lol. read more

We just bashed a ton of appetizers this time around and it was perfect. That wasn't the plan, but oh well... We had a few raw oysters to start. You can choose from several styles and/or options. They have them dressed, plain, and can choose the size as well as inquire about the brininess of the little dudes. Moved on to the "Surf and Turf" oyster special. It tasted way better than it looked in the pics. It had large grilled oysters with a slice of filet on top. They were dressed well and tasted great. I had to eat them in meat then oyster stages as they were too large to consume in one bite. Really good though. We ate them all! Then we each had a soup. Hers was Lobster Bisque, and mine was Seafood Gumbo. Mine was good, hers was fan-fucking-tastic. It was so rich and deep and flavorful and creamy and decadent and awesome and good and stuff. It's the kind of thing that makes you write poorly. Then we ordered the shrimp and Brie dip. Loved it and tore it up. I think we ate every bite of the dip. I like that they had big shrimp inside, but they cut them into manageable pieces to eat. Nice touch. Flavor was in another reality it was so good. Next up.... Crab Claws. Arrived covered in bacon to my surprise. I don't read description to remain shocked. It was a different preparation than I have ever had with all of the bacon, but they were tasty. None of the toppings would really stick so I found my self piling them up in a claw and hastily trying to shove it in my mouth before it fell off. At this point, we were near food injury and although we had planned on entrees, there was no way either of us could eat any more. We snagged the free crème brûlée for C's birthday and got the check. We were there over two hours and didn't eat a real dinner! Tehehe. I really wanted the lobster ravioli, but that gives me a reason to come back. We shall return.... Great redemption Coastal! We ordered the lobster bisque, clam chowder, surf n turf, and the seafood chopped salad. The oblate bisque was very creamy and had a good flavor. Being from New England, the clam chowder was just ok. The steak was juicy, tender, and cooked as ordered. The chopped salad was full of fresh ingredients but I didn't care for the ranch dressing in it. The seating was spacious and the atmosphere was nice as was the view of the lake. So many things to try on the lunch menu I can't wait to go back. read more

We dined on the beautiful outdoor patio of the Coastal Fish Company on a warm sunny Sunday afternoon, and were blown away by the scenic view of Patriot Lake. With a school of geese waddling in and out of the lake beside us, we leisurely enjoyed our lunch. Our server, Landon, was especially kind and polite. We tried the Blue Crab Claws and the Louisiana Spiced Redfish. Both dishes ordered were mildly seasoned, which to us was excellent as we've been eating quite salty at other restaurants lately. The spiced Louisiana Redfish rests on the very rich orzo jambalaya with generous portions of Andouille sausage, shrimp and crawfish. The creamy cajun white sauce is to die for! My husband took me here for the first time for (belated) Mother's Day dinner. We sat outside which was great scenery during sunset and it was beautiful weather. The only thing was the bugs coming in once the sun went down. Nathan was our server and he was great. Even when he was busy doing something he had another server make sure we were doing ok. For apps we ordered the butternut squash ravioli and the crab cake. The ravioli was stuffed perfectly, but the crab cake was our favorite. It was a good amount of crab in every bite. I ordered the shrimp and risotto, my husband got the seabass, my daughter got the royal red shrimp, my oldest son got the filet and my youngest got the cheeseburger. My shrimp and risotto was creamy and the shrimp was perfect size. Of course I tried the seabass which the sauce it was paired it went perfect with it. The royal red shrimp was probably some of the best shrimp I've had. For dessert we got the tropical cheesecake which was delicious and fruity. This is definitely a great place to dine at, just remember at night the bugs fly in because of the lights so you're busy shooing them away. read more

My parents were in town visiting and it was Mother's Day so of course this was our go to spot as my mom has heard us rave about it so she was all excited and they offered a gluten free menu for my stepdad so WIN! Our drinks, appetizers and entrees came out flawless and since it was also my mom's birthday she got a sweet treat. We paid and left full and happy. Then everything went left. Before we even made it back to the house my gluten allergy having stepdad got sick. Sick sick. We go to "upscale" restaurants hoping they will take food allergies seriously. Then one by one we all got sick to different degrees. My feelings were hurt. I just raved about this place and it left my entire family sick. I think the biggest disappointment is this was literally one of my absolute favorite spots.
