Ambiance is amazing. Very serene and quaint. I like the atmosphere and even the landscaping to get to the Grille. The brunch menu was nice. There is no kids menu, so my daughter ordered the French toast with ice cream. The ice cream was the only thing she liked. The French toast was good, but not kiddie approved. My mom's catfish was bland. She ate it, but was still hungry when we left. So that was a waste of $20. We went to another restaurant after we left for some soulful cooking and larger portions. My red beans and rice was great. It had a lil kick when I mixed everything together. I enjoyed it. I had a lil left. Not enough to box, but I was full. So I got my money's worth on my order. My 5 yo and mom were still hungry. My daughter tried the shrimp & grits; it was ok, so she gave up. My mom didn't really see anything else on the menu she was willing to try. If u go for brunch, just check the menu beforehand. Lots of better options elsewhere though. Our waitress was great. read more

Amazing food, service, and atmosphere for a date night. We went for my husband's bday dinner on a Thursday night & sat in the bar area. It was intimate and relaxed. We did order off the regular menu. Not the date night special (it looked great also) I recommend the tenderloin crostini with chimichurri. And the tuna steak and blackened red snapper all were delicious! And luckily they had the brownie as a special dessert, but it definitely needs to be added to the regular menu. It was the best I've ever had! Grab a cup of coffee and let's talk about our New Year's Eve dinner! I have been anxious to try this restaurant so we made reservations to celebrate the new year and our anniversary. We were seated immediately in the outer room beside the huge windows overlooking the woods. The view was nice and our table had an extra sprinkling of decoration to denote our anniversary celebration. The only downside to the room was that a group of 10 was also seated in this small room and the noise echoed off the walls. My husband and I had difficulty talking because we couldn't hear one another. We were thrilled when the table received their food and began to eat instead of talking so loudly. We began our meal with beef tartar and crispy pork belly. My tartar was excellent but I really wished the capers had been present. It would have elevated the flavor to perfection. The pork belly was not quite as crispy as it should have been. There was some unrendered fat that gave it an unpleasant texture. We both had the Cajun Seafood Chowder for our starter. It was AMAZING! Perfectly balanced. Piping hot. Loaded with seafood. Just wow! For entrees, my husband ordered the filet and I had the duck breast. I had one bite of his filet and it was phenomenal. Melt in your mouth delicious! My husband said it was the best he has ever eaten. High praise coming from him! The duck breast, unfortunately, left me wishing I had ordered the filet. Let me say, it was good. Especially when you had a bite of sweet potato with the duck. Great flavor combo for sure but my duck was almost burnt on the outside. I'm sure it was the honey and bourbon glaze that overcooked quickly. The result was a very tough piece of meat. It was difficult to cut and difficult to chew. We ordered the two dessert options so we could split them and try them both. My husband preferred the Pecan Pie Brûlée while I preferred the Blueberry White Chocolate Bread Pudding. Both were good but I wouldn't come back just for the desserts... except maybe the caramel sauce on that bread pudding! It was light and crave worthy! The service was impeccable. We were greeted and wished a Happy Anniversary by every employee from the time we entered the door until we left. Our server, Evonne, was attentive and engaging. We will request her area on our new reservation. This review is more detailed and a little more critical because of the culinary quality of food expected and the cost of the meal. This special menu was $90 per person. A 20% service charge is automatically added and then, of course, we tipped our server. In conclusion, I would absolutely eat here again! I would highly recommend it to my friends and family. If I could rate it a 4.5 I would. If I had ordered the filet instead of duck this would have been a 5 out of 5 without hesitation! read more

Found this place by accident as we were visiting to do some work and needed a good restaurant. So glad we found this place. The food was great (so well seasoned and fresh!) as was the staff. The husband and wife owners came by our table to say hi which is always a great touch (husband is the chef). Even the gelato and sorbet were made from scratch by the chef and of course it tasted amazing. Ambience - what can I say: huge grounds with a pond, large trees, really peaceful setting. Highly recommend and if we lived here we would certainly visit often. read more

The atmosphere here is really nice and the outdoor venue seems like a nice place to have a wedding. Service staff were really nice and accommodating. The chef came out to check how the food was and asked if we had any questions. Prove was not to bad. For all five of us it was roughly $200. Onto the food review. The bacon tasting as an appetizer was a fun experience for my kids and I to try but nothing wowing. The crab cake was large, full of crab and the mango relish was delicious with a little kick on the back end. My wife had the crusted salmon which was good but not much flavor. I had the blackened snapper which was moist and full of flavor. My kids shared the shrimp & grits along with the filet which they devoured leaving nothing left on the plate. For dessert we tried the bread pudding which was the right amount of sweetness at the end. I watched many other items being taken to other tables and have every intention of going back to try some because they looked delicious. For my birthday dinner, we found one of the best kept secrets in Desoto County. The Magnolia Bend Grille exceeded our expectations. The food was amazing. We enjoyed Salmon with Pistachio Cream Sauce, Raspberry Sriracha Vinaigrette, Sauteed Spinach And Green Beans Roasted half chicken with bacon cream sauce, mashed potatoes and sauteed green beans Crostini chimichurri - Prime Tenderloin of Beef on top of Green Chimichurri Sauce, Horseradish Aioli, and Garlic Crostini (forgot to get a picture) House salads with plum bacon vinaigrette and roasted tomatoes and pickled shallots. And blueberry bread pudding for dessert (and I was serenaded by our server). Chef Michael came out to greet us and ask if our food was okay!! It was excellent!! We have now had 2 private events and 1 catered meal from here. Chef Michael has been so accommodating to me. The filet is amazing. We have enjoyed every bit of food. They have themed nights where you can get a multi course meal, or you can order from their menu. They offer dinner and brunch. We have had multi course meals from here. The crab and lobster cake was phenomenal (and i dislike crab cakes). White chocolate bread pudding was amazing as well. read more

My husband and I stopped by on a Saturday night without a reservation. We were sat in the bar area which was great because we could watch all the football games. I had the wedge salad to save room for dessert. The wedge was perfect. We got the peanut butter chocolate cake and the brownie with ice cream drenched in caramel pecan sauce. They were soooooo good. As much as I love the entrees here I was so glad to be able try the desserts this time! Don't miss out on an opportunity to visit the grounds at Bonne Terre. The crab cakes didn't have all that bread filler and were excellent!! The drive into the area is dark but easy to find. There is valet paroling but we parked on our own. Not too crowded, we did have a reservation. The salmon was cooked well and the pistachio sauce was unique and wonderful!! My husband got the award winning chicken andouille sausage pot pie. Wow! It was so good I stole more than several bites. The sausage was not over powering and I would go back just for this! Desserts were great, we were with another couple and ordered the flourless chocolate cake(so good!!!! Rich and flavorful) the bannana cookie cream pie (aghhh I LOVE IT!!!). Let me just start by saying for a small business they have outstanding food, service, and atmosphere like I've never experienced anywhere else before. As an example, my family and I went there for my birthday and two of the kids wanted a Dr Pepper and unfortunately, they were out of syrup. So they offered them Pepsi's and everything was good, but about 20 minutes later, the server came out, and they had literally gone to the store and purchased Canned Dr Pepper's and supplied them with as much as they want during our mail. This is just one of the example of how great the service and the customer experience was for us. Food was over the top and very fairly priced as well. read more
