This place is large inside with an exceptional atmosphere and excellent staff. We went for my sister birthday and she wanted seafood . Everything was so delicious , hot and seasoned to perfection. I gave Pier 64 Seafood & Bar a second chance, and unfortunately, it was just as disappointing as the first. This time I ordered delivery, and the entire experience was unacceptable. The food arrived ice cold, soggy, and completely unappetizing. I didn't even eat it--that's how bad it was. The pasta barely had any chicken in it, which is ridiculous for a chicken pasta dish. The toast was soggy and tasted awful, like it had been sitting for a long time. The chicken wings were even worse--full of fat, undercooked/under-fried, and just plain disgusting. After two tries, I can honestly say I will not be returning or ordering again. Very poor quality, lack of attention to food preparation, and overall a waste of money. read more

The food was really wonderful! I don't really enjoy seafood but we went there for a friend's going away dinner, and I did really enjoy the food. It wasn't fishy at all! The sauce was so good! The only issue I had was the server. We were asking for recommendations and she said she had never eaten the food before. It seemed like we were a burden for her. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands, it stayed from there the restrooms were nasty and messed up my appetite from the time I came in. after that we order food I had the Thursday special and we also had the blackend salmon . The crab legs were small the potatoes were mushy and sauce was thick not appetizing. The salmon was good the rice it came with was plain and sticky rice and we also asked for ted potatoes. Returned here recently for dinner around 2pm. We were seated immediately and served quickly. Our server was very attentive and polite. They played a mix of music during dinner which was a nice vibe. The restaurant wasn't too crowded and the wait wasn't long for our food. We had a little problem with our crab legs but the manager was willing to remake the crab legs for us. Food was great, we got a couple seafood boils with all the seasonings and it was really tasty. Price wise it was good too. My wife got fried shrimp and seasoned fries which were great as well. This place is a little hidden hole in the wall. I cannot believe I've never heard of this before, but they have the best King crab that I have ever had. It is a tad pricey but you get what you pay for. All Seafood is pricey nowadays anyway. Their crab cakes were also the best that I've ever had. I give this restaurant four thumbs up!! I would recommend this place based on my visit. We were a large party of 11 and was seated quickly. Our waitress was friendly and service was good. Everyone at my table had the seafpod boil and said it was seasoned well and enjoyed it. I had catfish and it was cooked as it should tender inside, seasoned well and crispy outside. Holy moly!!!!! We drove from Midtown Memphis based solely on the reviews, and we are going to happy we did! Pier 64 checked every box. Here's the breakdown: Atmosphere: amazing. Great vibe, happy faces, boat bar and a beautiful aquarium. Service: Rock star. Alisha was our bartender/server (we sat at the bar), and she was phenomenal. Her recommendations were spot on and her drinks were Delicious! She was attentive and quick to smile. Can't ask for more. Food: Mike Drop. Oysters Rockefeller: best we've ever had. Ever. Tuscan Pasta: perfect. The salmon was a generous portion of gorgeously cooked fish on top of one of the best pasta sauces, period. Even the garlic bread was something to write home about: flavorful, golden on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Dungeness Crab Boil: This has been my personal quest in Memphis; up until now, I had been met with disappointment at other seafood boil places (both have the word "Red" in their names). Their crab was less than fresh (had a fishy aftertaste), was overcooked and covered in thin sauce. Pier 64 truly has the best Dungeness in town: delicious, perfectly boiled, with a thick and flavorful paste of sauce. I did the Pier 64 sauce (all sauces mixed) and my tastebuds are thanking me for it. Conclusion: We are adding Pier 64 right at the top of favorite restaurants in Memphis. Three times in a week I visited this establishment. That in itself is a feat and a testament within itself. I stumbled upon this place while visiting the Memphis area with my brother. I went out to try a restaurant that was no longer there and this was the third attempt. I'm so glad it was and I'm thankful for the number 3. The first visit, we had gator bites, oysters rockefeller, and seafood nachos. We ate everything except the dishes they were served on. The second visit we had the seafood potatoes, seafood spaghetti and more oysters rockefeller. Our last visit we had seafood nachos, seafood spaghetti and the catfish basket with Cajun fries. I loved everything. Absolutely everything. Now to the service, all five stars. The bartender Beatrice, was AMAZING. Super personable. The entire staff was great but she stood out. I'm thankful they're not near my house so they can't have all of my money. But if ever in Memphis again, this is a must visit! read more

I was in Memphis visiting friends and I was recommended to checkout Pier 64. Which is a seafood restaurant. They have a nice amount of items to choose from, so depending on what you have taste for, you can't go wrong. I wanted to try more than one item so I went with the Pier 64 Sampler. The sampler had a fresh taste, with good seasoning's and the fries were fresh with a nice crunch. I also tried the Blackened Chicken & Shrimp pasta. Which is a hit, this pasta dish has a flavorful thick cream sauce that is really good and I recommend others to try it as well. In the future I will be back to try other items on their menu, and I recommend people to check this place out. read more

This is one of my favorite spots in Bartlett. We probably go once a week. We've never had anything on the menu that wasn't flavorful. From the boudin balls, seafood nachos, and chicken wings to the boil bags smothered in the Pier 64 Sauce. The broccoli covered in Pier 64 is great, too! The service- We call it Cheers. The staff is friendly and down to earth. The bartenders are great! The bar is massive and can host an entire party at the bar. Also! ----- The Lamb Chops are my favorite! The caliber of the food didn't add up with the price. A simple fish and rice plate was somehow both totally bland and also too salty in other parts. The catfish was pink after cooking, which indicates potential spoilage. Service was also lackluster. Our server brought our drinks, then the food, and ignored us until we finished eating. We finally got our first and last refill after everyone eas done, and then waited another 10 minutes for a check. We stopped by Pier 64 on our Tasting Tuesday Tour. Not only were we greeted by friendly faces but we were surprised by the HUGE boat bar (not a norm in Memphis area). We scanned the menu but Chef Nak came out and recommended a few items and had us try he signature dishes. There's a few dishes we highly recommended: The Pier 64 lamb chops as It was cooked to my perfection with temperature and flavor There were several seafood bags to choose from but we chose The Weekend Special bag and it was absolutely amazing. I had the blackened salmon with rice, the salmon was really good ,seasoned well and a delicious sauce.the rice was sticky but ok. The service and environment were terrific. I also tasted the catfish, which are 4 small strips, The tater sauce needs work asap. The onion rings needed flavor. The corn was tender and tasted ok...it needed some flavor, too. I put a little banana pepper juice to spice the corn, and it tasted better. This restaurant should get 4 and a half stars because the experience was positive and enjoyable. read more

Pros: Food was delicious. We got the 1lb Shrimp boil with Cajun spice. Very tasty and well seasoned. The wrapping of the utensils were very nice. Gave you a nice wet wipe to clean your hands afterwards along with gloves. Cons: Service is so SLOW and POOR attentiveness. Nothing is worse than having to hunt down your server for refills. First let me say that in no way I am associated with the restaurant I'm about to review. Pier 64 (formally red hooks). Went there for the first time this evening. You walk in greeted by a very friendly Hostess: Yanna. The atmosphere is very inviting and very clean. Once seated was greeted by one if the nicest Servers: Sayuri. She was very knowledgeable of the menu. Appetizer had the oyster Rockefeller the best I've ever had. Back to the transformation for a second so you don't get confused. The former red hooks is a thing of the past. The New Pier 64 is in my opinion 5 star. While pondering over the menu and talking to the server Sayuri I ask is the chef good, she said he is the best. She said would you like to meet him. Me being me I said yes, in the back of my mind thinking here comes some cook calling himself a chef. Let me tell you when Chef Nak (or Chan) he goes by both names. When came over to the table i knew I was wrong. He is truly a chef with over 30 years of preparing masterpieces. How often do you get your chef to come out and explain his creations. I have a few pictures I will post, I apologize tried so many great dishes I forgot to take pictures of some. The attention I was drawing to the table the owner (Roy) came over. When tell you a very classy owner he is that. I could keep writing about the New Pier 64, but I'm not trying to write a novel. Great food!!! I will say service was lack luster literally had to ask the waitress to come over for everything and we were the only ones in her section but it was brought to us. Although they were wrapping silverware at a back table and when we had to ask for some she brought us some loose silverware unwrapped which I thought was funny.
