The other day, I completely forgot to arrange a ride for myself and my kids from Logan on a flight that was arriving at 12:30am. So, with only a couple hours before we were supposed to board our flight, I started calling around looking for a car service who could pick us up late that same night and get us to the South Shore. After many unsuccessful phone calls, I finally had success with Coastal. They were able to pick us up at 12:30am and drive us to Scituate. We were exhausted. The driver was so nice. When I turned my phone off airplane mode, I was greeted with a text message from our driver and clear directions as to where to find him and our car. We were so happy with the service, we used them to return to the airport a few days later for a 5am flight. Clearly, I'm a masochist. For our 5am flight, our driver was in the driveway before 3am and sent a no-pressure text message just letting me know that he was there and ready whenever we were. On time service just as advertised. I got what I expected. Really, that is all that matters. However, here are more details (that I would want if I were using this review as a guide.) I made my reservation on their website, and all my correspondence was via email. I never spoke to anyone but the drivers. This worried me because I am a serial planner but I let the process play as it said it would and was not disappointed. I had an early morning flight and the driver was in my driveway 15 mins early. Picked me up in a nice town car w free bottles of water already there. I ended up talking to the driver the entire way but I could easily have had very little talking if I'd wanted it that way. I'm a talker so, I talked. He also took my direction to get to highway from my home in Halifax, which was different from his GPS directions. I got to my flight on time and had already pre-paid and pre-tipped which I made point to tell him to make sure he got that tip. My flight home got in a few days later at 11pm and the driver was waiting for me (different driver) and even called my cell after I was off the plane just to let me know he was out there. Same service as the ride in, we talked a lot but I could have slept if I'd wanted to. Again he listened to my suggestions on the route and again I made sure to tell him about the tip. Both drivers were personable and good at the driving, which is most important. I would use Coastal again in a heartbeat and would recommend them to anyone who asked. We used Coastal Livery Transportation to and from Logan last week. The service could not have been better. The reservation was made with Joel who responded quickly and willingly to questions. Our driver, John was careful,professional,friendly and on time on both ends. We had to be picked up at 3:30 AM and the return pick up was 11:45PM. Not the easiest times. We had a 10 passenger white stretch limo which was in excellent condition. Our young grandchildren were thrilled riding in a limo. The price was very fair. Let me start off by saying that I have used Coastal before for business trips to/from Logan Airport without any issue. However, this past business trip I had with them put the "nail in the coffin" that I will never use them again. I recently returned to Logan back from a trip to Europe. Coastal had all of my flight details in advance of my trip. I collected my baggage and took a walk out to the Livery Pick-Up area outside of Terminal E...but no Coastal waiting for me. This was disappointing, seeing that it was a bitterly cold day in February with wind chills in the -15 range. I gave them 10 more minutes, still no Coastal. I tried calling them, no answer. Left a message. Waited 10 more minutes, still no call back. Called them again, got Joel on the phone this time. He tried to tell me that his driver was running behind due to heavy traffic (mind you, it was a typical Friday afternoon....in Boston -- when does Boston NOT have traffic??). Plan ahead for this based on my expected arrival time that I have already given to you, just as every other livery did that was there waiting for their arriving clients. However, Joel proceeds to tell me it should only be 10-15 more mins, then my driver will arrive. I wait. And wait some more. 30 additional minutes elapse from the time I last spoke with Joel. Still no Coastal, nor any phone call with any updates. So, I call him back....again (with words exchanged that I wouldn't dare repeat here). Again he tells me, it should only be 5-10 more mins. Finally, after more than 1hr 10 mins after my flight arrived, my driver arrives! However, he doesn't even pull into the designated Livery area where I was waiting (and where I had told Joel I was waiting). I just happened to notice his vehicle pull around to the "normal passanger pick-up" area based on the vehicle description that Joel gave to me. So, now I have to walk through ice and snow another 10 mins to get to his vehicle. The way that Joel at Coastal handled this entire situation was very disappointing. Although apologetic, he basically lied to me and just gave excuses. Do not trust this company, especially if you would like to arrive on-time to your destination. While waiting at the airport for Coastal to arrive, I was approached by many "competitors" of Coastal who offered their services to me at lower prices, at which I will be looking at switching to using going forward. read more

If I could give it a 0 star rating, I would. Made arrangements to have them pick us up at 6:30 this morning for the airport. They never showed up. We had a 9:00 am scheduled flight on Jet Blue out of Logan which we obviously were not able to make. Worse yet, there was no number to call to try to find out where they were. When it became apparent that they were not coming at the scheduled time, I called their number several times and all I got was a recorded voice message stating that there was no one available to take my call. I finally got ahold of someone there around 9:00 am. to explain what had happened. Obviously, I was not happy due to the aggravation, inconvenience and additional expense incurred as a result of their incompetence. Yes, I was cutting it a little close from the start, so imagine my surprise when the car service had still, not arrived at my house by 4:35am.
