We finally made it to the "mothership" LOL We have enjoyed their popcorn for years and typically buy it at local grocery or convenient stores. It was great and also overwhelming to see sooooo many options. If you like popcorn - they have flavors that will meet everyone's craving. I don't do the sweet flavors anymore. Give me all of the savory!!!! It's all neat and clean. Very organized store. I loved that! It can get a little crowded on the weekends, especially because there are so many varieties to look at and consider. Staff keeps busy with stocking the shelves and answering customer questions and sharing their thoughts and opions on their favorites. Fun stop if you are in the area. This little shop in Boothbay is packed with soooo many popcorn flavors -- everything from Grilled Cheeseburger to Key Lime Pie to Lemon Blueberry Delight (which, by the way, tastes just like Fruit Loops). We grabbed a few bags of the "weird" flavors and enjoyed most of them. My biggest regret? Not buying a bag of the caramel after sampling it in-store. It was sweet, buttery, and instantly transported me back to childhood and Cracker Jacks. The only letdown for me was anything with chocolate -- it seems they use a powder instead of melted chocolate, and it just doesn't hit the same. We can report the several flavors with tried were good to try. Some sweet some savory and some just plain weird so we got several bags to take home. Rosemary sea salt & olive was hands down our favorite popcorn that we had during our visit to this popcorn place. Whoopie pies and beef jerky sold here as well. Coastal Maine Popcorn was neat to visit. There were a ton of options to choose from and the "buy 4 get the fifth bag free" deal made it a bit easier to make a decision. They sell pre-bagged popcorn and even sampler bags. We decided to try Frog Logs (very good but too sweet), Spicy Coconut Curry (I liked it but my fiancé didn't and he loves curry), Pineapple Upside Down Cake (probably our favorite of the purchase), Peach Cobbler (it was fine), and the Maine Blueberry Pancakes (I loved this one, fiancé felt weird about it). I wish they sold smaller bags than size "small" so we could try all of the flavors. Overall, we weren't crazy about the flavors we chose but that's only based on 5 flavors of at least 20 offered. The staff were friendly and quick with the purchase and it was interesting to see literal tubs of popcorn being scooped out into bags. read more

My wife loves this place and every visit she has to stop. It has been a few years since we have been here and the flavors have changed; for the good. There is a nice variety and they were running a buy 4 get one free special...so of course, my wife couldn't resist. We wound up getting five and giving a few to our daughters who are also popcorn heads. The staff was friendly and helpful which was a far cry from our last visit where the staff was rude and unaccommodating and the popcorn was on the stale side. Possibly new owners and definitely new staff as they went out of their way to be helpful. The price is reasonable for a specialty item in a tourist area. I have to admit their flavors are good. There is nothing I enjoy more than popcorn. Needless to say I was in heaven when I walked in to this store. So many flavors to choice from. We were able to sample some of the choices. We went with s'mores, salt and vinegar, and sweet jalapeño. Definitely my favorite way to end a night... eating delicious popcorn. read more

Loved it! Dozens of variety of unique flavors including root beer, jalapeño, licorice, pumpkin, and more! This is their flagship store which serves their other stores around the state. My advice is ask for a sample wish we had. We picked three and they said buy one more and get fifth free. The kernels are small and the flavor on the cheese and kettle Korn are not good. It also tastes stale can hardly wait to try my other 3 bags NOT sorry we waisted 35.00. So again our advice is to ask for a sample then you would know what your getting. read more

The year, and it may have been the weather, the popcorn was a bit stale tasting - like the popped it in the morning and didn't do the flavoring until late in the day. Good popcorn shop in downtown Boothbay. Vast selection of savory, sweet, and chocalate popcorn. After quite a few free samples we decided on s'mores and garlic parmesean. We felt they were our favorites. The employees did not seem very happy or helpful, no smiles from any of them. Bags were not easily resealable, even with including a twist tie. The bags ripped and tore and he popcorn fell out and rhe bags could not be resealed. Great location though. I have been back for a few years now. read more

So many popcorn flavors, so little time! No, seriously, there are more flavors than you can possibly imagine - from savory, to sweet, to downright weird! And for the most part, all were pretty darn good. The associate who helped us was really nice, and let us sample as much as we liked. We ended up buying small bags of Roasted Garlic, Molasses Sriracha and Dill Pickle - all so tasty! The store offers 20% discounts to the military (active or retired), and the associate thanked an older veteran for his service to our country upon purchase, which I thought was gracious. While the flavor of the popcorn was good (parmesan garlic) the popcorn actually "broke down" quite quickly from when we purchased it to ate it all (small bag). I am wondering if the "coated" ones would fare better. Lots of choices though and a nice clean store.
