Expensive but very good flavored popcorn. I like their chocolate raspberry flavor as well as sea salt caramel.

We finally made it to the "mothership" LOL…read more We have enjoyed their popcorn for years and typically buy it at local grocery or convenient stores. It was great and also overwhelming to see sooooo many options. If you like popcorn - they have flavors that will meet everyone's craving. I don't do the sweet flavors anymore. Give me all of the savory!!!! It's all neat and clean. Very organized store. I loved that! It can get a little crowded on the weekends, especially because there are so many varieties to look at and consider. Staff keeps busy with stocking the shelves and answering customer questions and sharing their thoughts and opions on their favorites. Fun stop if you are in the area. Snack on this delicious popcorn while you walk around town. Just watch out for seagulls. LOL

We grabbed a few bags of the "weird" flavors and enjoyed most of them. My biggest regret? Not buying a bag of the caramel after sampling it in-store. It was sweet, buttery, and instantly transported me back to childhood and Cracker Jacks. The only letdown for me was anything with chocolate -- it seems they use a powder instead of melted chocolate, and it just doesn't hit the same. Still, this is a fun, unique stop with creative flavors you won't find anywhere else.

Every time I go to Maine I have to stop in there, but only go up 2x a year, so thank goodness they ship!! I love the unique flavors they have, Blue cheese and honey, cashew turtle, cinnamon roll that has white chocolate in it, jalapeno cheddar, and some new flavors like ebony and ivory, pretzel and ale, Rattlesnake bike and flaming hot. If near York Maine you must try their popcorn!

Parking options all around, may need to look a bit and or pay for parking. We didn't have issues the two times. We did pay each time we parked because we were in town for 3+ hours. The shop is simple - no frills just shelves of delicious popcorn. Everything is neat and organized. They have many options from plain buttered to different savory options and many sweet options and sweet and savory in one! There were some with chocolate, some with nuts...simply amazing. The funny thing, my favorites are not on their favorites list :) My favorites: Midwest Munch Maple Butter Boon with Almonds Wicked Good White Cheddar Cha Cha Cheddar Packaging is great - keeps it fresh even a week after opening. I can't wait to go back and buy more before they close for the season. They take cash and credit I cannot emphasize this enough...the quality of the actual popcorn and the pop is near perfect! I have not experienced a single seed out of the 7 bags I have purchased. So good!!

I love planning our trips. Not only do I select what towns we visit and what we want to see or do…read morein each town, I also plan the food side of it... where we eat meals, any snacks or treats. I have it all written out, so we know where we'll be going. Kind of like... when in Rome, do as the Romans do. For me, I need to know ahead of time what that'll be, so we can do them. Such was the case with Wilbur's of Maine Chocolates. Don't remember now where I read about this place, but some blogger mentioned them with high praise, so on my list this place went. We made a point to stop by Wilbur's on our way to Boothbay Harbor (also in Maine for those who don't know), and we are so glad we did. This is primarily a candy shop... but it is so much more. They have other food items, home decor, gift items, and of course, lots of chocolate. We bought a couple of stuffed animals for our grandchildren, as well as some flavored sauces in a jar (to be poured over ice cream), and we couldn't leave without buying some chocolates ! We tried some chocolate-dipped orange rind and a few truffle flavors as well. Everything was very fresh and tasty. If I'm ever fortunate enough to be in Maine again, I'm sure we will stop here again.

They continue to expand, to offer local Maine products, both food and textiles - it's a great place to go for buying gifts for people. Some of my favorites are shown in the pictures - I love anything maple and their maple malt balls are my absolute favorite! I love their chocolate covered products, pretzels, cherries, peanuts, raisins and blueberries and so much more. They sell Sweet Monkey Business shortbread cookies on occassion - they are the best in Maine for packaged cookies. The owner is very kind as well. This year (2025) my favorite purchase was the Candy Cottage kit! So cute and creative and it smells so much better than gingerbread. I loved it. Great for gift giving as well. Parking is great and there is an car charging spot as well if you are lucky enough to snag the spot. Not a super charger, but it's something. I hope to be able to participate in a special event sometime. They offer tours, and candy making events, like make your own candy cane. With that said, I highly recommend. Stop on by, you might see me shopping LOL

It's ridiculously expensive at $20 per pound so I spent over $30 on taffy but it was great. The blueberry, watermelon, and peanut butter were my favorites. Blue raspberry (which is actually pink colored) was also good. I wish the pieces of taffy were a little bit bigger because they're quite small compared to the wrapping so a good amount of the $30 that I spent went toward the weight of the wax paper wrapping but the taffy is great. It's nice to have real homemade taffy and not that Taffy Town stuff that every other candy store buys when it all comes shipped from the same factory in Utah. Service was friendly. They should honestly be handing out samples of the taffy. They asked me if I wanted to try fudge which was alright but on the sweeter side but it's the taffy that was great. At first I only bought a small bag with a few pieces in it just to make sure I liked it, and I loved it. Taffy is soft and flavorful and real.
