Earlier this week we spotted that they would be doing another collaboration with Frosty's for Maine Wild Blueberry Weekend. My wife loves blueberry so it was a no-brainer! Lots of parking available nearby and easy to spot the trailer. The owner is so friendly and will greet you with a smile! My wife and I both grabbed the donut special that featured a glazed donut that comes with blueberry soft serve and blueberry sauce. I think it even topped the mocha special and was mindblowing! The absolute perfect glazed donut meets deliciously flavored blueberry soft serve. If you love ice cream this is a must visit! Grab some ice cream and enjoy sitting along the historic Bath waterfront! Follow their social media for the current specials, typically different every week and all of them sound so good.

Zellie's is located right by the waterfront in Bath and was very easy to find. We've driven through downtown dozens of times but this was our first visit. I ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake Mousse Parfait special and it was delicious! Loved the layers of cheesecake mousse, brown butter graham cracker and strawberry soft serve. My husband ordered the Maine Strawberry Soft Serve on a sugar cone. We had our kids along with us -- one ordered the Maine Strawberry Soft Serve with Chocolate Sprinkles and the other ordered Strawberry/Vanilla Soft Serve with Rainbow Sprinkles. Looking at the menu prior to our visit we did consider trying the smoothie bowls but a few reasons deterred us from doing so. The prices for the size you receive didn't seem worth it. The heavy use of almonds and the fact they can't guarantee being almond free made my wife hesitant too. The inside is spacious, welcoming and beautifully designed while remaining simple. I was surprised it wasn't busier considering this! Definitely felt like a spot you could enjoy a smoothie or drink and chat with friends or family for a while or watching the world outside the window. Street parking was easy enough to get right out front. Staff when we ordered were not un-friendly but also not overly friendly. More welcoming and friendly could make for even more memorable and nice experiences. Latte wise my wife got the Cinnamon Bun Latte while I got the Cookies & Cream Latte. Firstly I will say both the lattes we chose come with a housemade whip which is very delicious but much thicker than typical cold foam/latte toppings. They also make the syrups in house which is great and the taste was phenomenal. Both lattes nailed the flavors they were going for with a slight edge given to the cinnamon bun being better. Gofres are these smaller, sweeter, denser waffles that taste delicious with either a drizzle of caramel OR a drizzle of vanilla icing (like what you get on top of cinnamon rolls). I had gofres every day walking to Parque Marítimo. I haven't had ANYTHING like it since coming back to the States, and that's been over a decade now. Segue... The Marshmallow Cart is just fun. Good, old fashioned, fun. It's good for kids. It's good for drunken twenty-somethings outside of Fore Street bars. It's good for tourists. It's good for those of us with a sweet tooth who need a fix but don't want to spend a lot of money. And it's good for those of us who like the idea of s'mores, but maybe don't want to purchase all the ingredients to make them ourselves, because... let's face it... there's always half a box of graham crackers leftover (and seriously, what does anyone ever do with those?). It's run by a staff of fun-loving folks. And they've got fire. So, basically, it appeals perfectly to most people's inner child. There's only two things that prevent me from giving The Marshmallow Cart full marks: 1. Marshmallows are typically made with gelatin. Gelatin is typically made from animal by-products (think bones, skin, and tendons). I don't know (but would update this in a heartbeat if I did) if The Marshmallow Cart makes their marshmallow's with gelatin or if they're vegetarian-friendly and use guar gum, agar agar, or pectin. That being said, as a vegetarian, I'm not exactly rushing to get back here for this particular product. 2. THE WAFFLES ARE DELICIOUS. They sooooooo remind me of my Spanish gofres, but... The Marshmallow Cart doesn't have icing for them. I think the only options are marshmallow or nutella. Allow me a Veruca Salt moment, if you will: I WANT ICING. AND I WANT IT NOW. I would come out of my way for this if it was available. Maybe I should just start carrying my own bottle of it around in my purse? The point... if you like marshmallows (and don't have a plant-based diet), s'mores, waffles (sans icing), fire, and smiling... The Marshmallow Cart will not disappoint.

At Dean's Sweets, our group of 13 was offered a needham which is a confectionery dessert bar made from sugar, chocolate, coconut, and potato and we had the option to choose another truffle. I chose a blueberry one. It was nice to try the needham (often called "Maine potato candy"), a highly localized and historic chocolate confection native exclusively to Maine. I'm usually not a fan of dark chocolate, but this was very light and rich. One group took advantage of our group discount and bought extra items. Kristin Bingham, co-founder of Dean's Sweets, welcomed us in. Dean's Sweets offers a variety of gourmet Maine chocolate truffles and chocolate gifts. Everything is on display.

Maybe I ordering the wrong items but this just wasn't my favorite.
